Staff were great, but hokey Dina was that the most disgusting chocolate croissant I’ve hit into. It was something akin to chocolate pudding by Betty Crocker, but then another bite had this putrid flavour and I honestly could not tell if it was mold or perhaps a bizarre herb. Stunning location. Friendly staff. Latte wasn’t good, tossed it. Gf muffin was so sugary. 2 lattes and a muffin was over $18! I hope they offer good espresso training and try their pours.

This is located inside the departure terminal at Departure Bay. Visiting Nanaimo and stopped here before boarding the ferry back to Vancouver. I ordered a flat white and it was delicious. The staff was also very friendly. I read up on the business as I had never heard of them. They are Vancouver based and seem to really care about being a sustainable business. They offer $0.25 discount if you bring a reusable mug.
