I buy from this bakery and love their baked items. I am also saddened by the harsh/rudeness from the servers. I asked for a loaf of bread to be sliced and you would have thought I’d have asked her to slice her hand off. No she said curtly and added that they don’t slice bread until after 11:30. I was perplexed as I was the only one in the bakery that moment and upon taking my unsliced bread to my car it was cold, not a bit warm which is why I thought maybe they couldn’t slice it.I usually brace myself to be snapped at when I go in and ask for something I want.

Amazing apple turnover:) original taste of the freshly baked pretzels is amazing and hard to find elsewhere. Friendly and cozy place. Reasonable prices too. Good selection of products directly imported from Germany. This place is my go to! bakery.

We have been coming here when we are in Nanaimo early mornings for over 15 years. This morning we stopped for pretzels and also indulged in a cheese stick - WOW! The absolute best cheese stick I have ever had! Texture was like a croissant - so buttery it melted in my mouth - can’t wait to go back!

The older lady that works here needs to take a customer service class. More than a few times I have been there she has been ugly to myself and/or other customers. Plenty of better bakeries in this town, food and service -wise. Gross.

My daughter and I happened upon this bakery when we missed the departure bay ferry... Best find ever!!! We just went back yesterday, and it is just as outstanding as before! Must have apple strudel, sausage rolls, scones, lemon squares! Fantastic prices, welcoming service, and exceptional food.
