“We tried Bapus for the first time and it’s safe to say we found a new spot! We got samples of a few things and decided to try the bingo salad and 2 extra bingos. It was delicious!! The sauces were amazing too, the signature sauce was my favorite. The owner and atmosphere also made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend!!“

I did feel the Horchata was a little overpriced for the amount compared to other places but overall was a good experience. Service was friendly and attentive“

“Great little spot if you like delicious tacos, cheap prices, fast service and no frills. The tacos are either 3 or 4 dollars depending on the protein you choose. But these are not small tacos. I ordered one Campechana (my favorite of the three), one Carnitas (very tasty and juicy pork), and one barbacoa (good. A little too much sauce on mine). I would definitely recommend this place.“

Our server, Maliga and the manager were so gracious and the most attentive and efficient service we have experienced anywhere in Mobile. The quality of beef in my ala carte order was like a homecooked pot roast...no fat ..no mystery. The tamales are wonderful and have a special sauce. The ground beef in the tacos is the finest quality and seasoned wonderfully. The margarita had only 2 percent alcohol in it, and the glasses for that drink are the wrong kind. But the most important is the impeccable food and service. I could enjoy their "refried" beans because they start with beans and do not add lard to it! The entrance to the restaurant on Schillinger is hard to find at first, but inside is wonderful and authentic The very best Mexican restaurant this side of San Antonio, and they are family-owned.“

“I recently ordered from a food delivery app. Aztecas had the food ready quickly, and the driver picked it up, but never brought it to my house. The food delivery service created a new order for me, then canceled it too. But they did not cancel with the restaurant. The Assistant Manager at Aztecas knew all the trouble I was going thru, and personally delivered the order himself. TO MY HOUSE!! I have NEVER experienced this level of customer service. And the food was delicious. I have been going to this restaurant for years and highly recommend it for great food and great service!!“

“Me and my partner really enjoyed the food. We have been to a lot of Mexican spots and the cheese dip and salsa was great. My partner doesn’t usually eat salsa but he ate there so that says a lot. I also had a strawberry (frozen) margarita it was good considering a bartender was not on sight so the waitress made drinks which is why it wasn’t in the right glass. I went to try the birria tacos since a lot of places only places only sell them on certain days. However, they sell there throughout the week. It was good you can taste slightly cinnamon or star anise flavoring. I would have liked a little spicy but still worth the try. My partner had a steak quesadilla was nicely cooked and not greasy. He said the beans were alright and rice could’ve had more seasoned. Will be going back to try other menu options.“

“Excelente!! El Giro is our go-to Mexican restaurant. Three reasons: consistency, chili relleno and history. We’ve eaten at El Giro (in different locations) for over 30 years. If I understand correctly, it is, or related to, the original El Giro on Hwy 90 in Mobile that was near the Greyhound station. It has consistently been the best good we have had. The chili relleno is the best version of this dish I can find. Perfectly made. Finally, the original restaurant was a regular outing when my wife and I first started dating in 1991. Staff is always friendly, service is always good. Sometimes a language barrier issue but nothing that can’t be handled. We’re always pleased. Current restaurant could stand a little cleaning but, hey, so could my home kitchen right? I recommend El Giro when you crave Mexican food, give it a try.“

“Always good food here. The service was off this time but I won’t be too harsh because we had a party of 12 with two infants in addition. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had one regular beef taco and one al pastor street taco, both fresh and delicious. Fajitas looked amazing, always like to see and hear them sizzling. It’s a nicely decorated place with friendly staff, consistently a good experience for us. Parking is fine, it can get a little crowded during peak times. I would definitely recommend Rio and they are always willing and able to accommodate larger parties.“

“First time at this location. I called the grandchildren to see if they were at their Moms office downtown. The youngest asked if I could stop at Taco Bell. Of course! The young man in the drive through was so patient with the person in front of me. A good experience!“
