What an awesome place! Food was amazing, service was even better! I'm not from Cranbrook, but now I wish I lived closer. I had the ol' fowl chicken sandwich, which is their top seller, it was excellent. But I also tried a bit of the goat curry, the jerk chicken poutine and fried chicken, all superb. Thanks so much for dinner!

It's kinda funny how I happened upon this place. It was my first time here in Cranbrook and obviously I wasn't sure about the area, so I was partially lost following directions on my phone when I saw this place and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. With me being a Jamaican and seeing this Jamaican restaurant out of the blue, of course I'm gonna take a peak inside and it was great. The server was friendly and courteous, she ensured I was ok while waiting for my order. I like the setup of the entrance, the seating area is lovely and the menu features a lot of familiar dishes. I opted for the jerk chicken meal with rice and peas, which was all so nice. I'd definitely come back whenever I'm in the area again.

Came for the French fried chicken again. Oh my days. What an amazing place and delicious food great atmosphere. Couldn't ask for nicer service. Very elegant so bring out a loved one.Can't wait to come back for the heat.

I have shown up 50 min before closing and was denied entry as it was " to close to closing time".I have also called for take out 30 min before closing and was denied service as it was also "to close" to closing.It seems like they are not concerned with business and only concerned about shutting down early. Frustrated enough to take business elsewhere.

Oh man. I'm here from Vancouver and I really looked forward to dining at Ella's when planning my trip, so this was the first place I ate at and WOW. I'll be back for more. The jerk chicken poutine was amazing - huge portion and huge flavour, let me tell you Miss Ella does not skimp out of the chicken and the sauce. Perfect ratio with the fries. I also loved my drink, the mock mule. Jamaican ginger beer is just better than the rest!The place is decorated so beautifully, the restaurants playlist is super enjoyable, and the seamless merge of music and food really takes you to a place of good vibrations. I can imagine on a sunny day when more people are out, this place must be so alive!The staff and owner are so kind and accommodating, I had a blast actually getting to talk to the owner. Incredibly kind and welcoming, and so down to earth too. It feels good to love the products and service of a business with great people behind it.
Great place to go! It was the best chicken I've had in a very long time. Also, the Mac and cheese is amazing. I highly recommend it.

Very peaceful atmosphere right down to the music. Wonderfully friendly, helpful servers and owner. We had lunch and the food was a treat with lots of veggies cooked al dente. If you like to cook and eat fresh, this is the place for you. Good place for office gatherings, family meals/ celebrations, or meeting up with friends and more. Lovely lighting...could I say more... we'll be going back when we're in Cranbrook!Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies and meals with vegetarian options.Parking: Lots of room for restaurant and local businesses parking very close by.Kid-friendliness: Quiet place during the day with peaceful music and I do not know about the evening.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps everything is ground level...don't remember the washroom set up for wheelchairs.
