“We stayed for 3 nights, the hotel lobby has a cute heritage charm to it while the room I stayed in was fully renovated with a king size bed, large tv and full sized fridge. Right beside great restaurants (Fenwick & Baker and Sakura in the same block) and walking distance to many other amenities.“

“It was busy and service was a little slow. There was even a sign when you walked in the door warning that they were short handed. I had a regular medium roast coffee, and frankly, it was terrible. I even sent it back and the replacement was just as bad.For context, I roast my own beans at home and kind of specialize in medium roast. I would be embarrassed to serve such a weak and insipid cup to a guest. I think they simply don't put enough grounds in the basket. (A good starting place is 3 gm of ground coffee per 50 ml of water, and that is a minimum). Their fancy espresso coffees looked great, maybe I should have gone that route. On the other hand, the food was delicious. I had the meat patty and egg breakfast sandwich and it was served hot and so tasty. I even made my own version for guests when I got back home to Texas.“

“Me and my sister were passing through on our way to Calgary from Cawford Bay, and decided to stop in for dinner. Five out of five experience all around! We both got to try some raw octopus for the first time and were pleasantly surprised with the beef tataki! We had to wait a bit for the green tea and thought the soy sauce holder was a perfume smelly thing, but weren't too picky on the wait and the soy sauce made us laugh. XD Feels very authentic as it's cooked by professional Japanese chefs and we got to watch them cook our meals at the bar counter from our booth. If your wanting some good sushi and a fancy dinner, totally go here! (Ate: Green Tea, Miso soup, Pork Gyoza, Unagi (Eel) Sashimi, Salmon Sashimi, Octopus Sashimi, Beef Tataki, Ginger Cake and Green Tea Icecream)“
