“Came here to celebrate my birthday. The experience and the food was great. We were little late so the dining area was already closed but the lounge had a really good vibes too. I like their steak. The trio dessert thing was pretty good too. Highly recommend..“
“Good poke bowls and it’s great that they now have mini bowls as I can’t usually finish the regular one.Store is easy to miss, because it’s on the side next to the pub. Maybe invest in signage facing the main entrance to the plaza to get more foot traffic.“
“The seafood is very fresh and the presentation is exquisite. It can be seen that everything from the selection of ingredients to the presentation is done with care. Even the background music is very suitable to my liking. The lobster sandwich and eggs Benedict are worthy of 5 stars.“
“I had a lovely lunch of Assorted Oden at Gyo-O recently. It was a simple meal, but Oden isn't something that I see often around here so I was very happy to be able to order it at Gyo-O. There's another restaurant in Richmond that's supposed to specialize in Oden, and I had tried it one time but found it quite disappointing. While there was a wide variety of Oden to choose from, we weren't very impressed with the food when it arrived at our table. Oden is meant to be a hot wintertime stew but the broth that was served with our oden was not at all hot. This Oden at Gyo-O was much better. The broth was hot as it should be, and the size of the food was impressive. The tofu and daikon were both massive! Such humungous chunks of tofu and daikon. I'd had Oden in Japan not too long ago, and the daikon there was also huge. This daikon at Gyo-O was quite comparable in size. Possibly slightly larger even. If I have a craving for Oden, I don't think I'll bother searching for any other place in Vancouver to have it. I'll come straight to Gyo-O again! My friend was with me and she ordered a Tendon bento box. She said the rice texture was a bit off, and ended up pouring soup over her rice to moisten it. The tendon though, according to her was very nicely crisped.Service: GoodParking: Plentiful and freeLocation: #2137 - 3779 Sexsmith Rd., Richmond, BC“
“You better make a reservation in advance before having dim sum in Kirin. As I know they are quite full even in weekdays. Kirin is the only restaurant I am willing to have dim sum in North America. Dim sum is in high quality and with prompt service .“
“I went here with my parents years ago, and came back this week. It's a neat experience - still as good as it was from before.Food is a solid 4/5 for me; Tastes good and portions are relatively filling.Service is a solid 4/5 for me; The waiter is attentive and drops by to check on our table regularly.Atmosphere can be slightly better, but for the location, I can't expect too much. All in all, would recommend if you've got friends/family visiting from outside of town.“
“No comparison, no harm. This one is much better than Regent. The service attitude is good. The roast pork is crispy enough. The point is, if I want to isolate the party for fear of being noisy, I will arrange to check in immediately. This one is good enough. In short, it's probably Never go to Lijing, just come here“
“a hip spot for hanging out with friends . I love their grilled fish. Very flavourful and delicious. It's a big portion that can be shared with 2-3 people! They recently introduced more drink menu like shots. Their price for 6 shots ($15.95-$30) is such a deal !Which means drink more for less =) Also a Tasting Tray which includes 6 beers for $38.95. Talk about affordable drinks and great food!“
“This is a Cantonese restaurant that I will definitely come to when in Vancouver. I am very satisfied with both the dining environment and the service?! The food in the restaurant tastes very good! This time I came here specifically to eat king crab, and the Maggi king crab cooked by the chef himself was really delicious! Jack, who helped us locate the place, was very attentive and helped us prepare everything from appetizers to desserts, and the service was perfect! The food is delicious! recommend!“
“The food was tasty but it does come served in plastic bags. Kind of wasteful but it does make clean up a breeze and I think they cook the seafood in the bags to save from washing pots. You can get the food seasoned with garlic butter, lemon pepper, Cajun, or Captain’s boil (which is all three seasonings combined). We ordered the crab legs, clams, mussels and shrimp. I would pass on the shrimp next time but the crab, clams and mussels were very good. For the amount that you pay the value is pretty good.Bring your own gloves if you can. The ones they provide are way too large and mine had holes at the end of my dinner. They also provide bibs which is kind of fun. I would feel better if they didn’t waste so much plastic after each meal.A good place for family gatherings and even witnessed a family birthday party. We would come back.“
“The ingredients are fresh and delicious as always. Every time I come to Vancouver, I must come to The Fish Man to eat seafood. What I like most is that they don’t use too many or too heavy seasonings. You can always taste the original taste of the ingredients. What’s even more special is the Chef Both the supervisor and Lisa will always pay attention to the taste of the guests on site. It is a rare good restaurant. No wonder it is packed with guests every day. Be sure to make a reservation when you go ?“
“This restaurant has a really pretty exterior and interior. I recommend coming early as there is always a long line. Ordered the Chinese sauerkraut fish along with the noodles. Thought it was pretty decent, it started getting spicier towards the end.“
“Went for dinner at night and ordered fried dumplings, steamed buns, Shanghai stir-fry, bean paste nest cakes, fermented rice dumplings, a soup with salted duck, and ordered fried dumplings. All the food is very good and above the standard. In order to eat their fried buns, I went to buy a takeaway the next morning. The takeaways are delicious, the skin is so thin and the meat is juicy! The food is as good as many Shanghai restaurants in Hong Kong. The waiters are all very kind.“
“Their food is ALWAYS on point. Hashi Sushi made me change my perception of sushi from raw fish with rice, to an explosion of flavours exciting my taste buds! They have the perfect combination of ingredients to make every experience super enjoyable. My favourite rolls are their "dragon" themed rolls, but they also have really good udon too. 100% you NEED to eat here.“
“Four of us ate here on a Sunday evening in July and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was very helpful, especially with regard to the local beers, and we took advantage of the variety of cuisines on offer. Each meal was well-cooked and tasty.“
“Fisherman's Terrace Chinese Seafood Restaurant exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff. The ambiance was inviting, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional charm. Now, let's talk about the food - absolutely divine! Each dish was expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and bursting with authentic flavors. The seafood selection was particularly impressive; every bite was a delight for the taste buds. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring our every need was met without being intrusive. The attention to detail truly sets Fisherman's Terrace apart from other restaurants.Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving exceptional Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend Fisherman's Terrace. It's a dining experience that will leave you wanting to come back for more. Truly deserving of five stars!“
“Up close and personal??Been to the old location a couple of times a lifetime ago but first time to this new location. It is located on the ground floor on the corner of Garden City and McKim Way. There is a parkade at the back and paid street parking along the street (if you are somewhat lazy like me after a long day, it’s $3/hr right out front lol). The inside is greeted with a fish tank of koi fishes, bar and sushi bar along with the kitchen to the right and tables to the left as you walk in. A small but comfortably spaced out dining atmosphere.Upon arrival and told over an hour wait but sushi bar is available. Opted out at first but my friend didn’t mind the UP CLOSE and personal experience so sushi bar it was. Here were the food I ordered;1. Unagi tamago. Decently okay, nice little appetizer to begin the meal with. Usually if just tamago, I prefer it at the end as almost like a dessert.2. Tako wasabi. Nice texture but lack the wasabi taste (actually I can barely taste the wasabi).3. Soft shell crab. Very nicely done and the crab was of good size plus came with a nice fresh salad!4. Oyster motoyaki. Nicely cooked and tasty. Finally a place understands how to cook a straight to the point good motoyaki.5. Foie gras toast. The foie gras was seared nicely but the toast was over toasted, the sauce was too much and overpowered the beautiful buttery taste of the foie gras.6. Kimchi mentaiko yaki udon. Added the kimchi sauce while pan frying it, good! Didn’t add the masago too early good! Ingredients were generous and didn’t over cooked, good! BUT cooked the kimchi cabbage together, resulting in nothing but warm sour cabbage, not good!7. Deluxe sashimi added Hokkaido uni for $58 extra. Everything was fresh and tasty. Bite size as I preferred them (some of you who preferred over sizes then you will be disappointed lol). But I am bit disappointed with the selection for $65. The uni was fresh but $58 for 9pcs whereas the each of the uni nigiri has 3pcs in them for $16. The uni nigiris are perhaps a better deal than the uni sashimi?!?8. Engawa nigiris. Lightly torched and a nice light sauce, very tasty.9. O-toro, kinmedai, shima aji, chopped scallop nigiris. Everything was fresh and tasty but wish the O-toro nigiris were just a tad bit more generous in portion especially for the price. This is a nice little place with a warm and cozy vibe. They do have a selection of creative dishes that most likely you don’t find at other places, but the price tag is a bit higher here than your average Japanese restaurant. I assume the goal is quality over quantity. The food was fresh and of good quality, no doubt about that. All the sushis were bite size just the way I liked them but like I said earlier on if you are those who prefer bigger portions, this may not be for you. I would put this place on an option to repeat if I am in the neighbourhood but for the same price, there are similar or better options throughout the lower mainland.Overall the service was friendly and attentive, but I did wish I got a table instead of the sushi bar because there was an empty table throughout the duration of my time there. Nevertheless, up close and personal once awhile is okay at long as good food and good company.“
“This is not for special ocasion place has big space but I like this place they have only 3 -4 tables but make me feel like just for me..haha and also they have amazing unusal kind of seafood menu you can explore some rare sea foods... sauce is amazing also noodles as well. Also waitress is ? amazing.“
“Good view, decent prices, decent options. We were seated quickly which is great, however, it was very clear that this was the first nice long weekend of the year and the staff were either under prepared or management dropped the ball and hasn't hired and trained a suitable amount of staff for the incoming busy tourist season.Honestly I would come back for sure, I just hope that the staffing levels improve by then.“
“We ordered the oysters, pork belly, and fried chicken to start, they were all great! Since we ordered lots of appetizers he suggested that me and the woman split the 12 oz ribeye steak (which was amazingly delicious!). The service was excellent, felt like we were being pampered. All together I am definitely coming back!“
“This is a high end dim sum restaurant, food is excellent and the service is impeccable, you pay the price for it. I ordered a mushroom chicken plate and I really love it. They also have separate rooms for family gathering or business dining if you require privacy. I had a great experience, highly recommended.“
“I read an article about Frank's food truck and thought to try his food and give him a support. I love that he is serving fresh local food that either he catches or buys from local fishermen. I tried salmon sandwich Cascadian and it was delicious. It is not cheap but this is high end food. Will come back for sure.“
“Waited a while before someone put us on the list for 2. People rush to get their name on the list. A group of 4 people jumped in front of us but didn’t want to fight with an elderly woman. We got our table after 5mins anyway. Food was over very good. Just took a long time to come out. One of the dish we order didn’t show up. We had to ask to have to bill adjusted.“
“The food was incredible and Mickey was amazing! The price you are paying is worth it. This was my first experience in a teppanyaki and again, thanks to Mickey for being so polite and an excellent chef. The staff was really busy but the whole time I was there they were so attentive and even gave me recommendations about what to order. I will definitely be back!“
“It's always a pleasure to visit The Catch. Good tasty food, well presented with just the correct level of service (hate multiple visits to our table asking how the food is at some restaurants) Obviously the view is second to none but at 7pm it doesn't do it for the obvious reason. No doubt we will return soon“
“Really good experience, but not great. Notoriously bad at serving clean glasses and plates. Residue from previous usage so obvious. They had to replace our wine glasses. Happens almost every time here, including a few lasting lipstick marks. Then there was running the air conditioning while it's 4 degrees outside. However, service was off the charts terrific. Food was quite good but hardly spectacular. Again, very nice meal but a few details won't have me returning any time soon.“
“We sat next to the large wall screen with the Masters at Augusta and McIlroy setting up on his swing. For a golf addict like me, I loved it. The place was immaculate for a Chinese dim sum restaurant, except for the bathrooms that could be a little more cleaner. The service was good to excellent. The waiters did not change out our plates until we asked them to. Some of the more upscale places will change them out for you more frequent than not. Dim sum is served via a checklist menu, not with the traditional carts. Prices are comparable and food was delicious. It is always difficult to feed 3 people when each dish has 4 items. The crab claws and sticky rice were nice and came in 3's. The fried squid was plentiful and the tripe had tendons mixed in. Only complaint was the parking which was busy and tight. Overall, it was a good place to eat and meet.Parking: Watch for the reserved parking signs.“
“We ate here while waiting for a flight at YVR in Vancouver. The food was absolutely delicious! The next time we are in Vancouver we will definitely find the main restaurant to have dinner. The staff at the airport were very friendly and sweet. I would recommend this place to anyone.“
