“My experience at Savio Volpe was amazing! I have always wanted to try this restaurant ever since i’ve heard of it few yrs ago but unfortunately couldnt get in coz it’s hard to make a reservation. Glad i was able to get in this time. Me, my husband, my mom and in laws came over to celebrate our bday at this restaurant and it really surpassed our expectations. Our fave were the maple farm half chicken, primrose pork belly with scallops and green apple puree, tiramisu and amaretto bday ice cream! It was def chef’s kiss! Shout out to Steve for constantly checking on us making sure we were ok and we were enjoying our meal. We would love to go back again sometime in the future.“

“Ok. We finally tried Oca.We tried to make it for 5pm but was tied up. Got there by 545. Put our names on the list and was told we would be for the 8pm seating. It was a rainy and windy Saturday so we decided to grab a bite of pizza and roam around. At times we wondered if it was worth the wait. It's only pasta after all. After careful deliberations, we decided to hand in there.We finally got the text and headed in.Very simple menu. Ordered the tortelli, spaghetti, and the bolognese. To be fair I was never a fan of stuffed pasta or bolognese.Tortelli came. The pasta was silky, it was perfectly al dente, it was smooth, it was soft, it was perfect! What sorcery is this?!?Spaghetti came. Picking it up with the tongs I felt it may have been too soft. It felt like worms or udon. Hopes were dashed a bit. Bit into it, perfect texture, perfectly creamy, wonderful!!Bolognese came. Again, never was a big fan of it for the lack of meatyness. The waft of the steam from the pasta mound made its way up my nostrils as they brought the plate. Immediately hit with the strongest braised meatyness. What the devil?! Twirled the coated noodles around the fork and into my mouth: the richness of the sauce that can only come from hours on the stove, the same silky smooth yet firm in the second half of the bite was simply perfection.I've had a lot of pastas in a lot of places. This one takes the cake. For those lucky enough to sit at the bar...the precision placed mirror acts like a TV screen giving you a real-time video of your pasta being made live for you.Keep up the amazing work here guys!!“

The portion size was generous, as one sandwich was enough to satisfy two people. The side of fried fries was a nice addition. The ambiance of the restaurant was good, although there is room for improvement, especially with the music. However, overall, you can expect to find some really good Persian food there.“

“While in Vancouver the beginning of November for medical appointments. My wife and I were undecided on were to eat. We walked out of our motel. Looked across the street and saw the Italian Kitchen, we walked over and asked if they had any seats available, it was a very busy night ,got our seats and our sever was Sam he was very pleasant. My wife and I both so impressed with our meal. If we ever go back to Vancouver I know we're I will be eating.“

“I can't get enough of La Grotta. Absolutely delicious and amazing service. My only recommendation is to come earlier in the day as they might sell out of bread in the evening. I went at 4:30 and they only had some focaccia left, which was great regardless. My current go-to order is: Light balsamic & Olive Oil, Honey mustard, Chipotle Mayo, Pesto Mayo, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Artichokes, Mild Salami, Mortadella, on a toasted Portuguese Bun. So far the best sandwich I've had in Vancouver! Awesome work!“

“Found this little place while my husband and I were walking up Commercial Drive. All I have to say is " WoW! ". The pizzas were so amazing, light crust, non greasy and full of fresh toppings. They do their own seasoning and it certainly tastes like home cooking. My husband tried out the stromboli and he was so in love with it, said it was the best handheld item he ever had and it's so true. This shop is old school, Ma and Pa pizza place so people please support them. They aren't a franchise and certainly don't taste like one. 100% approved for quality, service. They have a street fighter machine in there too and also the music was very nice. Thank you , Auntie Jen's, we will be back!“

“I'm surprised to see this hidden gem on the corner of the street. I got the soup and focacia combo for 9 dollars. The soup was good but a bit too sour for me. Maybe if they added a drop of yogurt in the middle, it would be perfect. The bread itself is delicious. It is soft, spongy, and just the right amount of cheese without it being too "greasy." I would definitely go back to try their sandwich or even get the fociccia bread alone.“

“Amazing experience. We’ve been to Impostori 5-6 times. Each time the food & service is top notch. The atmosphere is not old style Italian, I feel like I’m in a cool resto/bar in Milano or Firenze. “Independent neighbourhood restaurant, the type you’d want to be a regular at. Simple ingredients and dishes that make you feel right. Service that makes you feel a little warmer than before. “Visited on a weekday. There's only one customer except us, but we waited 30 minutes for food without an explanation. We could also see a server and kitchen staff chatting a lot (loudest in the restaurant) and eating something in the open kitchen. If there are more customers, I was wondering how they can handle it.Service is dissapointing, but food was great, worth to try their pasta.“
