Waffles in Vancouver, BC

“I never knew I needed Benedict Waffles in my life, but here we are. Wonderful and unique food. Very filling. Wife had a special request to add raspberry to the hot chocolate and they weren't sure, but gave it a go. It was a hit. Our server was great. The place was rocking and they were a bit slow at times, obviously due to how busy it was, but still managed to be attentive and patient with us. 100% will be looking to visit again if we come through again.“

“Very friendly staff. Greeted me with a smile and the liege waffle was massive! I couldn’t finish it but it was mouthwatering when I had it. They had a huge variety of options, ranging from eggs benny waffles to the standard apple cinnamon!The apple cinnamon is definitely the one I recommend! Though it is quite pricy, I would say this is a place you can come to enjoy once in a while.“

“Be prepared for a wait, but it will be totally worth it! You show up, give them your number and they will text you when your table is ready, then you have 10 mins to get back to the restaurant, so don't wander far! So many choices of sweet or savory meals! Everything was delicious.“

“Surprisingly high-quality waffles, both sweet and savoury, with plenty of vegan options that got us in the door. Beautifully-designed little cafe right on Water St, but with plenty of seating. The back page of the menu lists all the vegan options, including 4 sweet and 2 savoury. I got the Smoked Tofu ($19 plus tax) on a Liege waffle (choice between Liege or Norwegian), which is the fluffier of the two. The dish came out in about 10 minutes. You get one fluffy waffle with 5 pieces of smoked tofu, avocado and hummus, with what seemed like "Everything" spices, with a side of maple syrup. I wouldn't think the syrup would go well with this combo of ingredients, but it actually did. Despite not seeming like much food, it was plenty. I got an Americano as well ($4.75), which was pretty watery -- they need to use a lower water:espresso ratio. Very friendly and attentive service. Prices seemed a tad high, but this is Gastown after all. This place exceeded expectations.“

“We had our wedding reception here, let me start off by saying the manager/owner was so sweet, she and her husband were so quick to confirm that we could hold our wedding here. She offered to create a sign for outside the restaurant, always quickly responded to any questions or concerns. They also ordered just for our event extra tables and chairs. The employees/waiters/waitresses here are so sweet and attentive, and for their first experience doing a wedding, I was impressed with how well they adapted to the chaos of at capacity customers and crowds. The magic of the day can not happen without the people behind the scenes hustling to make it special. Waffleland cafe is so beautiful and a sweet gem in the heart of Gastown, we are so lucky to be the first wedding and I just know there will be more. Cute, whimsical, romantic decor made it so easy to add little bits to customize it to our celestial/forest. We were given a little card/gift from the owner and a sweet card that we read as we left the event. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you again Waffleland team!“

“Had a delicious brunch there today. Food prepared to order, beautifully presented and the venue is spotless. Coffee delicious: beans are ground as you order your cup of coffee and all hot food piping hot and cold food cold. Very enjoyable. Will return for sure.“

“Pretty good waffles, offers gluten free options too (yay!). The coffee is good, not the best ever but not horrible. The matcha Latte came pre-sweetened and was hard to drink; too sweet, and grainy. High ceilings and clean interior, not much seating and limited to 1 hour of dining per table. More instagram-aesthetic than it is cozy.“

“Beautiful little bistro style restaurant. It’s a small place that can probably seat about 15 comfortably, outdoor seating is also available. I went there for breakfast. And their selection is on point: just enough variety and specializing in Waffles. The experience was nice. The wait was on the longer side even though they seemed to be staffed appropriately. The staff is very proper and pleasant. Overall great experience. Perfect for dates or casual brunch meetup.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options available on menu“

“First time at this gem ! I ordered their chilled latte and had their GF lemon cookies today. I also had the chance to try their waffles and chocolate, orange muffin. Everything here you can tell is made out of quality substances and love. The cookie had a very unique cake-like texture. The interior has a very warm, rustic vibe. The staff are superb. Warm and friendly. This is a solid place that more people needs to know about!“

“I quite like all the mains and desserts here! The ube toast and waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like them. My sweet chicken dish went so well with the waffle I can see myself ordering that again. Service was quick but it was hard to get a table. Full party has to be there before they let you in. There are street parking nearby but it was pretty difficult for me to find a spot when I went.“
