Fresh slabs of American cheese, cranberry and generous portions of turkey on their Colonel Jim sandwich is why I keep coming back..the ladies there are hard working and you can tell they take pride in their business and care about their customers.If I'm driving the 880 best Alameda and want a sandwich this is my go to spot.“

“"Jay's Coffee Teas and Treats" is a small cafe in Alameda's Morton Station. They offer coffee, teas, sandwiches and bakery items. It's a very neatly organized place, with small tables inside. I was there thirty minutes before closing, and the lady made an effort to fill orders. I ordered a large coffee. They were sold out, so she made the coffee fresh for me. The other customer asked for a sandwich, and they made it "on order" in the kitchen. This extra effort and friendly service will earn them my repeat business. “Old school liquor store mart and deli vibes. Some nice table and chairs in the front. I got the heated sandwich that has hot pastrami and Turkey. This sandwich was beyond what I was expecting. Melty, spicy, mushrooms and peppers…so good. Got it with a toasted sourdough bun. For a little under $10 you can’t find anything like this anymore. Will be back!“

“My husband and I stopped for lunch on a bike ride that passed through the the area. It’s a hidden lunch gem in a office space, but we’re glad we found it. We went halfsies on the Sicilian chicken sandwich and the falafel wrap. Both were delicious, but the falafel wrap was the real standout. I’d go out of my way to come back for another one of those.Good service, nice staff, great outdoor seating on a sunny day.“
