“The catering options here are amazing. I haven't been able to find other restaurants that allow me to order big catering tins of food. Not to mention tasty and affordable. Really convenient when I have my extended family over, poker games with friends, etc... Staff is really friendly. The manager is a hard worker. ALSO... Someone please give me the recipe for their buttermilk dill salad dressing. Otherworldy.“
“LOL I wasn't planning on leaving a review but after checking the two only comments here, it's too obvious that they're just competitors trying to spread false information and just for that I'm giving them a 5 star rating to even out the playing field so to speak - this rating is based on their other locations which I've frequented“
“Today I tried Lusy's for the first time and oh my goodness the food was so delicious and well seasoned. Gosh I wish I would have come here sooner. This is the best Mediterranean FOOD in the Valley hands down. I had the pork ribs with all salad because I am on Keto. The ribs were mouth watering DELICIOUS“

“Clean place, clean restrooms and decent service. The food has changed since the last time I was there. The Koobideh was not as good as before. The bread they make needs work. I think they should ask a baker to fix it for them or go back to serving lavash.“

“This was an adorable place for pastries and lunch. There is free parking in the structure nearby, and paid street parking around. My partner and I split the Chilaquiles, which was phenomenal with fresh and crisp chips. The pastry we ordered was an apple danish of some sort, and that was delightful as well. You order in the front before self seating, and enjoying a laid-back time with yourself or your friends. The staff were super friendly. The prices were quite high, but understandable for the location and quality of food.“

“Charred eggplant dish and breads were outstanding. So were drinks and tahini. The shuk salad with salmon was good. Shakshuka sauce seemed a bit too think. The borekas dish was disappointing. Was really a sandwich with slices of egg, potato, cheese , tomato. Server was the best we've experienced in a long time KUDOS !“

“This is what happens when you support shitty businesses like Tendergreens studio city. Mazza actually had great food, nice ambiance, kind staff, and good music too. They didn't deserve to close! We need to do better. Never forgiving this community for actively supporting the business next door that has numerous health issues and bad service. I hope Mazza can come back one day.“

“TLDR: Food is great. Bit pricey but maybe worth it. Really really like this place! Food is great and will give you the feeling that it was made with a lot of care. Flavors and seasoning are great. I have tried the chicken thigh and beef kababs, tabbouleh, falafel babaganoush and hummus and I think the babaganoush is particularly outstanding. The service was pretty standard, nothing particularly outstanding just your normal "as expected" good service. Staff is helpful and willing to answer questions. The do not sell the entrees as a side meaning if you want an extra kabab, they won't sell it to you individually, you would have to order a whole other plate. Think they need to reconsider this. I personally do not fully understand this. The ambiance gives local spot. Seems like many regulars are here from the way it vibes when you enter which is neither good or bad for me, it just what it is. The bathroom is clean and doesn't smell which is remarkable I suppose. Parking is a bit more difficult since they are in a strip mall that's maybe a bit smaller than most but that's not on them. It is what it is. At least its free.“

“First visit to Pita House and was impressed. Got the falafel plate and chose hummus, baba ganoush and salad as my sides. Falafel was perfect, freshly cooked. The six large falafel were crispy outside and tender inside. Tasty tahini sauce. Hummus was good. Baba ganoush was okay but a bit watery and lacked a smoky flavor. The salad was very good romaine with a tasty balsamic dressing. An order of grape leaves was above average. They were large and an ample amount.Very nice, understated and relaxing decor. Pleasant staff.Parking is free in this busy corner strip mall but it can get crowded at times. Meter parking is available on the street. Starbucks, other food spots are there also.Vegetarian options: Loved the falafel plate, stuffed grape leaves.“

“I've driven past this cafe so many times and didn't even realize that there was a hidden gem there! Came in for lunch and was greeted by a sweet woman who took my order. It's definitely a mom and pops joint so you'll feel right at home immediately. I ordered the chicken shawarma with salad and the chicken didn't disappoint! It was tender and flavorful, just what I needed to satisfy my appetite. I do have to say that it's a small spot so there is no restrooms available for customers but if you're getting your car washed, you can use the one there and walk over.“

“Great option for food if you are visiting Discovery Cube across the street since the cafe at the cube only serves cold food. My toddlers enjoyed their food - Cornish hen, pork ribs, hummus, red bean salad, rice, etc. Priced low and portions are generous. Food felt fresh, which is important to me for my kids. Service is great, too. Clean and open eating area. Tables are not sticky.Do note that food prep may take a bit (15-20 mins). The wait is worth it and to know the food is cooked fresh. You just have to figure out how to entertain the kids.“

“New York City inspired Halal Street Food Experience in the West Valley I recently revisited this hidden gem tucked away in the San Fernando Valley, and it's safe to say, it's definitely not your traditional Greek food fare, but it's something equally satisfying. Despite the mispronunciation of "gyro," what you'll find here is a delightful fusion of flavors reminiscent of the halal meat street food carts of the bustling streets of New York City. Stepping into this popular spot, it is reminiscent of the famous Halal Guys chain, I opted for their mixed halal meat gyro, a departure from my usual platter choice. What arrived was a burst of flavor, with perfectly spiced halal meat nestled in warm, crisp pita, generously drizzled with their signature white sauce. For those craving an extra kick, their hot sauce adds just the right amount of heat. As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but wonder why it had taken me so long to return. The food here is undeniably delicious, making it a staple in the San Fernando Valley dining scene. While prices have seen a slight uptick in the wake of post-pandemic inflation, it remains a budget-friendly option for those seeking a taste of authentic halal street food. However, if you're on the hunt for a more traditional Greek gyro experience, Firehouse in Tarzana comes highly recommended. Nestled along Topanga Boulevard in the West Valley, it offers a culinary journey that transports you to the streets of New York City with each bite.“

“Grade A (96): Food was excellent, Had 4 different type Kebabs and they were all amazing. The Antakly Bread was the best I've had, (Awesome and rich with veggies and Pepper paste). Krdiyeh (Cheese, Tomato & Jalapeño inside a toasted bread. Tabbouleh was very good with the right amount of lemon juice. Hummus & Babaghannouj were very good, but we had to order another Hummus because the quantity is a bit thin. Price per person can be anywhere from $20 to $50 depending on how much you want to eat, but I think $25 is a port good standard portion.Vegetarian options: Middle Eastern food has a lot of vegetarian options like Tabbouleh, Fattoush, Hummus, Mutabbal, Falafel, fries, Krdiyeh Cheese beureg etc.Parking: There was parking when we went.“

“I stumbled upon this bakery while visiting a different shop in the plaza and was pleasantly surprised by the owners' hospitality. They kindly offered to prepare fresh lahmajun if I could wait a bit and even treated me to complimentary Armenian coffee during my wait. The highlight was that my family absolutely adored the lahmajun! It's definitely a place we'll keep coming back to.“

“The cashier was rude , I asked her if they sold carne asada fries. She pointed to the menu. I said it only says nachos. She replied " no" our Antonio's nachos are fries. How would I know that! I'm not a regular customer. And with that type of customer service surely I will not be a regular customer.“

“Tried this lunch spot today based off Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. Quiet, clean, and the food was delicious. The owner, Lusy, was there and brought us a sample of their leek soup before bringing our order out. It was fantastic. We took some to go after finishing our meal. Highly recommend you seek out this hidden gem. My only complaint... parking is a little tough.“

“We live just down the street from here and it’s one of our favorite places to pick up dinner. We often joke that we could blindly point at anything on the menu to order and would be happy with it. “I've been coming here since 1992 or earlier. This is one of my best childhood memories. I remember when the owner had all the autographed pictures of famous people in the walls. I remember he' always said his mother makes the best and has the best recipes, top secret! If you want falafel this is the best. At 44 years old I am still trying to figure out his hot sauce. I crave it. But I'm in Orange County. If I ever go to LA I go there. My wish would be for him to open up in Orange County :)“
“We ordered food from here last week for 20 people for the first time and it won't be the last time. All the food Was so fresh and delicious I didn't want to stop eating. I will continue to order from here all the time. Everyone at the table was very happy and kept asking where's the food from. I'm very grateful for Gumri's owners Mike & Artur for providing exceptional food & service. Thank you and God bless your business and your employees.“

“I love this place, have been coming here from before the pandemic to now as I am returning to Smc. And I will continue to support this establishment. Its small but hearty. The food is great and the customer service is welcoming and friendly.Parking: If youre a student at Smc, you can just walk it there. I do, I just park in the parking lot 3 of Smc. If you dont attend, then parking will be difficult as the lot is small and fills up quickly.Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a ramp to go inside, but the restaurants dining area is a bit cramped.“
