“I think it is the best Malatang restaurant in Irvine. It would be better if it could be opened later. Personally, I think it’s really more delicious than Zhang Liang’s and Yang Guofu’s. The boss’s snacks are also very down-to-earth. Is the boss from Jiangxi? The taste is similar. ?? Highly recommended! ! !“

“The food is absolutely delicious. We tried 6 different dishes and they were all great! The service is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant itself is modern and clean. If you haven't yet, you should give this restaurant a try so you can taste what the hype is about in the other reviews :)“
“Stopping by for a late lunch early dinner with my hubby during their happy hour. What a steal from the happy hour deal for dinning in! Our total came out to be around only $32 before tip with 2 bowls of trio shrimp noodle, extra egg topping, braised tofu appetizer and a hot tea. Take out is still regular price though. The bowl size is a very good portion, actually a bit big for me. I could only finished half of it. I had the tossed noodle and hubby got the broth one. Although the tossed noodle has good flavor, I have to say I prefer the broth one better. I can taste the flavors of the shrimp peels being roasted before shimmered into the broth, so much depth and richness. Now I know which one to get next time. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes and bring my boys along as well.“

“We did a take out and we had Laghman noodles and manta. Manta comes with 6 pieces, they were juicy but too much black pepper for my taste. Laghman was delicious with thick noodles, some bell peppers and yummy broth. Inside is very nice - decor, light, tables. Bill for take out was $45 for 3 people with plenty of food. For now prices are reasonableLocated inside Trader Joe’s plazaNext time will dine in to get the full experience.“

“The hotpot I eat most often with friends is Lao Pier. The first time I ate flying pancakes was at Lao Pier. Now that I think about it, it still tastes delicious.“

“This noodle shop offered a decent dining experience. The noodles were flavorful, and the snacks provided a tasty accompaniment. While the food was enjoyable, the overall ambiance and service were average. It's a suitable spot for a quick and satisfying meal, but don't expect anything extraordinary“

“This is probably the best ramen shop in Irvine. I like Northwest noodles very much, but most of the noodles I eat elsewhere are machine-made noodles. The noodles here are made by hand and are very chewy. The braised mutton I ordered was very soft and glutinous, melting in your mouth without any tangy mutton smell.recommend“

“Went with friends, parking was horrible. This is in a "food court" where there's only another restaurant that was open on a Friday night. Walking in, I was a little surprised with the set up. There is no flow. It would have been nice if there was something that said to " Start Here!". You basically get a bowl and tongs from in front of the counter and just get whatever items you want to add to your bowl. They then weigh the bowl and you tell them what kind of broth you'd like. The end product is delicious. You can take it home if you can't finish it, they provide you with containers. The patrons are 99% Chinese so you know it's good and legit. However, don't believe all the markings on the food because some are mismatched. The dining area could be much cleaner and inviting.“

“It was recommended to eat here for the first time, mainly because it is very close to UCI and you can take your children to visit. I didn’t expect it to be delicious! Big and cheap. My kids like their Liangpi very much, and I think that pot is delicious. I will choose this restaurant next time I come here!“

“This restaurant is my go to in the area whenever I crave chinese korean food such as tangsuyuk and/or jajangmyeon. The food here is delicious and oily so you know its legit. Also, their sweet and sour shrimp is actually decent too and i order it sometimes when i'm in the mood.“

“I dined in recently for the first time and absolutely LOVED my experience. I think my server’s name was Kim, it was a young lady with the pretty tattoo on her neck. But she made me feel welcomed and comfortable after telling her I never been here before and didn’t rush me like other places. Her recommendations were great, my favorite was the Changs Spicy Chicken but get it extra spicy! And the shrimp dumplings are a must try! 10/10 for the food and service. I will be back soon!“

“Happy national bubble tea day from my favorite place to get boba Mango green tea 10/10- my absolute fav, I normally get 2 pumps of sweetener instead of the full amount as it's pretty sweet and it's awesome that they can adjust it for you. I love how refreshing it is and how the mango and green tea go together perfectly. This is also the most popular drink on their menu!! Their boba is also incredibly fresh but I love getting their lychee jelly or aloe Vera jelly however I didn't get any in this drink order. Highly recommend their hot honey almond milk tea for when it's cold out. They also started selling boba squishmallows so I had to cave and get one as it's so cute and cha for tea is my favorite spot for drinks. The lines go fast too! I've been coming here for 10+ years now and it's always been consistent. Instagram: @hungrytamale“

“This place satisfied my hainan chicken cravings!! Service was so fast, I received my meal 10 minutes after I ordered. It's located in smart kitchen which had multiple restaurants and you order from the same kiosk. Portions are generous for the price. The chicken was tender and the ginger sauce was soo good. It's been a while since I've had hainan chicken and this definitely hit the spot.“

“I recently stumbled upon this little hidden gem right across the street from my apartment that I never knew existed--First Sandwich! Nestled inconspicuously in a small food court, this unassuming sandwich shop turned out to be a delightful surprise. What initially piqued my interest were the rave Yelp reviews about their Taiwanese dishes, which seemed like an unexpected find in a deli-type sandwich shop. Intrigued, I decided to swing by one evening with my husband, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember. Run by a charming Taiwanese couple, First Sandwich exudes warmth and authenticity. You can tell it's a true mom and pop establishment, with over 15 years of dedication and love poured into every dish they serve. Sherry, one of the owners, even took the time to chat with my husband and I, and he was able to practice some of his mandarin with her, haha! Now, onto the food--let me just say, it exceeded all expectations. We opted for their Taiwanese beef noodle soup, and oh my, it took me back to my mom's home cooking! The broth had that unmistakable Taiwanese flavor, rich and deeply satisfying. But what truly won me over were the perfectly cooked noodles and homemade chili sauce, all served in cute home-style soup bowls that added an extra touch of comfort. The service was equally delightful, with the owners going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and satisfied. Needless to say, I'll be back to First Sandwich again and again. Whether you're a fan of Taiwanese cuisine or simply looking for a fantastic sandwich spot, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed!“

“I went here because all the other ramen places I enjoy closed down. Was pleasantly surprised by how the food was. The service was good though I can’t say much because they weren’t there that long. The atmosphere was pretty calming and the music was a 7/10 in my opinion. Overall this place has good food, good service, and a good atmosphere.“

“Yu’s garden is located in the same ranch 99 plaza but on the right side.It is a small chinese porridge shop that has limited seating but very easy and fast takeout options for ppl who are on the go.They have a bunch of side dishes laid out at the counter and you either tell them you want two or three per bento box. Each box comes with a bowl of porridge or rice whichever you choose. The way to order is you go to the back and point or tell them which one you want and you can order multiple bento boxes of your choice. ($11.50 pretax for 3 side dishes)This place has been here a long time and is a known local shop that has served Irvine folks.Parking is ample but may get packed cuz of the plaza.10/10 would recommend!“

“Food is excellent. Service could be improved, but good food makes up for service shortcomings. Prices are reasonable. We ordered fish fillet with hot bean sauce + tofu ($11.95+1.50), and kung pao chicken ($10.95), both mild spicy. Also, rice for 2 was $2.90. Both dishes were delicious.“

“The best dumplings!! I had The Fried Chicken (6 Pieces) at Down Town Disney. Try these yummy dumplings filled with Seasoned Chicken, Pepper Jack Cheese-filled dumplings, battered and crusted with corn flakes. Deep-fried and served with jalapenos & a side of spicy cilantro mayonnaise. You will not regret it. Good luck to the owners just amazing food on wheels.“

“I've been here several times. The food is very good. I personally like the braised pork rice bowl, The stir fry noodle with beef, and the minced beef pancake. Just make sure to choose your spiciness one ordering. I've only gotten take out so I don't know how these service inside is, but I have always dealt with the same guy at the counter and he's always been friendly. I highly recommend.“

“One of the few places open late in Irvine. Its pretty loud and busy, but the food is really good. I didn't know what to order so I just let my girlfriend who's familiar with their menu choose. Everything was great and I'd definitely come back.“

“We were looking for a trendy breakfast but accidentally drove in this plaza with several Asian restaurants open (8:30ish). We saw a couple eating outside the Kingfu Master, and decided to give a try. We tried a few items on the menu, and to our surprise, they are outstanding! We then order almost everything on the breakfast menu. My kids, wife and I appreciate the authenticity of the food they offer. The cashier is little bit unenthusiastic but gets her job done. The place is clean. Overall, a great spot for breakfast.“

“I enjoyed the spaghetti with steak here. Absolutely scrumptious and nutritious. Glad my friends chose this after realizing the other restaurant was full. Mostly Chinese-Asian style meals here. I appreciate that they brought extra water cups out halfway through our meal without our asking. There was no wait on a typical weeknight, thank goodness. Polite helpful staff. Casual ambience, but also fancy interior decor. My total came out almost $30 for one meal.“

“Been here a lot and service is usually good, but today Yono went above and beyond to make our haidilao experience amazing. He was so attentive and immediately picked up any empty dishes and always topped off our water and soup base. He was really friendly, polite, and took time to get to know us throughout the meal. I think it's some of the best service I've ever received in my life. I highly recommend him as a server. Food was excellent quality as usual. Thanks Yono for everything and we look forward to dining with Yono again!“
