“Lovely spot with incredible atmosphere and food.The food was presented nicely and tasted even better. Would highly recommend the scallop/uni course and the skewers! the beef tongue was our favourite.As for the bone marrow, it was a little shallow and the miso overpowered it.Overall, I’d highly recommend n/soto to anyone looking for Japanese food around the area. “Made reservations ahead of time and was seated within a couple of minutes of arrival. Service and food were amazing. Ordered 4 dishes between 2 of us and must say that our favorite was the goat liver mousse. The crumpets that accompany the mousse were the star!Parking: Parking is along the street around the restaurant. May be difficult to find parking if coming during peak dinner hours. Some streets may be dark so be wary of surroundings.“

“We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was crowded but not too noisy, everyone was enjoying themselves. The server was amazing and offered menu suggestions. I forgot the name of our appetizer but it was delicious! I danced at the table the whole meal because I enjoyed every part of it. Definitely lived up to expectations and I'd be back.“

“Amazing experience. The soup base was absolutely delicious. I love the tomato and miso soup. The black tripe was a blind buy but it was delicious! I would get the dancing noodles for sure. The Hokkaido milk tea was absolutely delicious!!! Highly recommend. It’s just like high end milk tea. Mushroom variety was a good choice to try all the mushroom (I found the round mushroom was my favorite). Parking isn’t validated here“

“A lifetime of eating Mexican food, living in Mexico and speaking Spanish fluently couldn't have prepared me for the culinary whirlwind that I experienced last night at Damian. Accompanying friends who have been long time patrons of Damian served as personal tour guides through the labyrinth of menu selections that culminated in one of the most memorable meals I have ever had as a native Angelino. What makes Damian so remarkable is the layers of flavors that appear in every dish and the surprising combinations of ingredients that while seemingly so disparate, create a fusion of flavors that one wouldn't think possible in one cuisine. The service is impeccable and the environment relaxing, intimate and simply world class.“

“This jungle sanctuary is worth every dime. The decor is amazing, the service is excellent and the food is exquisite. Everything at Meteora is memorable; whether it's the à la carte menu or the set menu. The sweet pea hors d'oeuvre or the risotto entrée or the rib eye (the wagyu is advised) or the chocolate ganache with sorbet for dessert. Every dish leaves an unforgettable taste in your mouth. We were lucky to be served by Gina but then, everyone who brings a dish is super helpful. Thanks Meteora for this unforgettable culinary experience.“

“This place is very close to achieving what it's setting out to do: provide an elegant vegetarian dining experience. I think that might be hard to pull off in a strip mall however. The food and the art are fantastic but the interior design was poorly executed and comes off looking a little cheap. I went for my birthday but for the price this might have been a one time experience. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-06“

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“I was offered an all-expenses paid trip to the "Clark Street Diner" (克拉克街餐厅) on Franklin Avenue. During this All-American™ escapade, I was slyly offered a small bag, containing salt-upon-sea, by a dishevelled, camoflauged Hollywoodian native whilst engourging of the delicacies delivered by this All-American™ "Clark Street Diner" (克拉克街餐厅). I indulged in this salt-upon-sea once entering their one (1) lavatory. This legal and easily accessible substance enhanced my dining experience tenfold. It should be offered at the table, and is my only complaint with the experience. I should not rely on local pathfinders to expand my experience.Vegetarian options: No.Kid-friendliness: The kids were very friendly ! They thoroughly enjoyed my salt-upon-sea.“

“The signature sauce of Yvette's Kitchen will make you get out of your seat and start cooking pasta! The first time I tasted this sauce, I was delighted by the flavor and the fact that it is great with or without pasta. We have tried it with different types of pasta and the sauce maintains its wonderful flavor. (Yes, we have had more than one jar of it! LOL) If you do not try it at least once, you will miss out!!!“

“AOC has always been a “go-to” restaurant for all the right reasons- food, food, food, service, service, service, ambience, ambience, ambience. I must have dined there +20 times and it just keeps getting better. And, NO, I was not paid for this review. I am particularly “gushing” with my comments this time because my wife and l are dealing with stressful external forces in our life and AOC provided a little quiet from the storm and performed perfectly in every way. One of the best meals we've ever had there. Kudos to all!“

“I’m not one to engage in hyperbole or overstatement, but the dinner we had a Bavel last night was quite possibly the greatest dinner ever served. Seriously, the creativity in the menu was matched only by the flawless execution of the chef and kitchen in the dishes we had. The cocktails are fabulous, the waitstaff delightful, and we eagerly anticipating our next visit. If you have the chance, do NOT miss Bavel DTLA.“

“The most authentic Philadelphia style steak sandwich in LA! I grew up in Phila, but in the 35 years I’ve lived in LA, I never found a place that could duplicate that perfect Jim’s Steaks style…not until South Philly Experience launched their food truck 14 years ago! So delicious! Then, sadly, they disappeared a few years ago. That’s why I freaked out yesterday when I found out that they now have this permanent location! They ship in the Amoroso rolls to make the perfect Philly steak sandwich. Jonathan did his homework to cook them properly. He gets that shred on the grill just right. They have Whiz (of course) and their “pizza steak” nails the South Street style exactly. Huge portions, quick service. And they have peanut chews and Herr’s potato chips. BEST Philly steak sandwich outside of Philly! Go now!!“

“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor.Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. Our server fixed it promptly so that was great.“

“Thick crust with tons of flavor, with a crispy initial crunch then a soft chewy bread party with lots of air bubbles and oil. Toppings are fabulous. A few vegetarian options exist. The cakes, cream pies, and cookies are equally special. This is a memorable pizza place that you'll talk about for weeks and think about for the rest of the year. $6-8 per smallish 6 inch square slice -- two is typical. Tables for eating in are few and hard to get (waiting for a few hours is not unlikely). Lines are long for take out. Minimal street parking. Friendly and kind service. I'll definitely be coming back.“

“33 Taps is really a sports bar, and I don't drink and I hate sports, but we go there anyway. The burgers, fries and other items are worth it.The place is super cute with tables everywhere, they also have a lot of outdoor tables with shade. We always eat in. It is not as loud as you might think, actually it is pretty quiet.The place is kept very clean and the service is fast and very friendly. There is nothing we don't like about 33 Taps.We have had all their burger types and they can make it the way you want. For me there is nothing worse than a well done burger. Make mine bloody and add the cheese. Their salads and bowls are also great. We love the Caesar grilled chicken breast, avocado, black beans, cilantro rice, peppers & onions, romaine, pico de gallo, pickled onion, parmesan, house made croutons, caesar dressing. The Wedge Cobb is also yummy with Iceberg lettuce, applewood bacon, avocado, hard boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, pickled onions, and ranch dressing. I don't care for ranch and they are happy to give me the Caesar dressing instead.They also have great nachos. The menu is not huge. It is a bar menu. But it tastes like fine dinning burgers to me and don't forget their fries.“

“Where do I begin? The reception by the lovely group of charismatic hostesses... Our amazing waiter Gregory?…The warm greeting from manager, Josh? It was all an overwhelming dining experience from start to finish.A round of Prosecco followed by a Rosso pizza was a complete surprise The occasion was my mother’s birthday (which I never disclosed to them), and she has never felt so well taken care of in her 75 years! The lamb chops perfectly cooked over fire, hefty salad perfectly seasoned and dressed, fresh pastas perfectly timed and desserts to die for.When the smoke cleared and we were ready to go, mom and pops insisted on finding Josh for a big hug and warm thank you.This post/ review is a late one as Josh is no longer there, but I’d like to express how thankful we were and give the restaurant and team the best review we can. “Yummy tacos! We had the lomo saltado, carnitas and fish tacos and all were Good! We also had the potato and cheese taquitos and the cara cara Olive oil cake. The Olive oil cake was warm and moist on the inside and was crunchy and crisp on the outside. Went well with the orange sherbet that came with it!“

“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.“

“After visiting Hijo de su Madre several times for their award winning and phenomenal Yucetecan vegan greatness I was quite excited when I saw on their IG they were adding a vegan burger menu. It just launched a few days ago, but is already my favorite burger (got the Phat Hass Burger) in LA and I have had them all. Even more profoundly, they have the best loaded frots I’ve ever had by a landslide! Run don’t walk to try the new menu (will be on the delivery apps soon!) and then keep coming back because everything on the menu is perfection. 5 stars!!!“

“Its a beautiful cosy place, takes you back in time. The cakes, as you can see in the video look delicious (didn't try one though).We had the lemon pancakes which were AMAZING, also the breakfast burrito which was really delicious as well and very filling. Their coffees were also flavourful and strong.Lastly, salmon with potato pancakes..which I personally didn't really like.. they had a funny taste.. quite soggy.. something about the salmon? Or the eggs? I didn't understand but unfortunately has a weird and not good taste.“

“Located just a 15-minute walk from the Ahmanson Theatre, Maccheroni Republic is a wonderful find. The outdoor seating area is inviting, and the service is top-notch. We enjoyed the Burrata appetizer and indulged in two pasta dishes: Bianchi Neri and Pom'Amore, both of which were absolutely delicious. A perfect pre-show dining spot with great ambiance and even better food.“

“Cool vibe in the main street area of Larchmont! Stopped here for a quick drink after shopping in the area. Got a Michelada and Sangria! The Michelada had a nice kick and served with their own beer. The Sangria was good too and not overly sweet. Lots of cute and small boutiques nearby. Definitely would come back, and try some of their food!“

“Best authentic Hondurian food. Great plantine chips, tajadas. I enjoy the passion fruit, maracuyá, drink very much. I got the sampler plate. It was very tasty but the enchiladas, tostadas, we're much smaller since last year. Made me a bit sad. Most meals are big square plate in the 16 - 24 dollar range. Lastly, make sure to ask for more napkins, sauce or utensils.Parking: Very small lot for about 8 cars.“

“In a city full of big name and high profile steakhouses, this one is the BEST. I've been multiple times but am highlighting last night's food selections. Starters included pork belly empanadas, a burrata dish with imported heirloom tomatoes and finally, scallops resting in some sort of creamy sauce made and sent from heaven. We ordered three cuts of steak for our party of five to share: 2.5 lbs of ribeye cap, a New York strip and a skirt steak. All cooked and seasoned perfectly. Sides included sautéed spinach, creamed corn and fries. Accompanied by multiple red Argentine wines, selected by their expert.The service is exceptional, as is the food. For passionate meat eaters, it's simply perfection.“

“I came around 6pm. The place was busy. I was told wait will be 40 minutes, luckily they gave me the small table right away.I got the special Margherita, it was excellent.There are 2 Margheritas, one uses regular mazorella the other one uses fresh buffalo mazorella. “Im so glad I finally discovered Yama! I am in love with the Yama special California roll - I’m disappointed to see that it’s not available to order separately on Door dash - Please add it there! The only thing I haven’t loved so far was the unagi roll, it had a rubbery texture. Maybe I just was unlucky with that one. Overall really good sushi! “I was blown away by Sonoratown. Everything we got there was incredible, especially the steak tacos, juicy with an incredible smoky flavor from the grill and the salsa. On that note, their salsa deserves a special shoutout. I had the pleasure of walking in just as a fresh batch of red salsa was made. Everyone working there was so excited about how good it came out, laughing and dancing around, and their excitement and enthusiasm was infectious. I could feel what a good working environment it was, and how much passion they put into their food. Please do yourself a favor and give Sonoratown a try.“

“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food is incredible, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu!“

“What else to wish than clean soy-free, gluten-free vegan food which tastes delicious and a nice talk with the staff? I appreciate that their main dishes have protein made of mushrooms, that's very beneficial for you, don't eat soy! “My fiancé and I have put Mazal in our rotation of FAVORITE places. It's not just the food, but since it's yelp..... THE FOOD: I'm new to the vegetarian lifestyle, and started reluctantly under doctor's orders. Mazal has been a revelation! Tal and his staff prepare vegetarian dishes that taste amazing because they were always intended to be vegetarian! Fresh fennel salad, hearty beats with cumin, silky humus and baba ganoush. And mushrooms so perfectly grilled that they taste - dare I say - MEATY, like a mushroom should! So yes, the food is supurb. But that's not the reason we come back. Nor is it the reason we decided to celebrate our recent engagement with them. Mazal feels like a home. The decor is warm, the patio is beautiful and spacious, and Hanni, Tal, and the rest of the staff are kind and welcoming. So, I suggest you come for the food, stay for the people, and come back for both.“

Boy Choy and Bass were good but nothing stood out.Short rib was decadent, tender and absolutely delicious with an unexpectant surprise of fried rice made with the remaining bits from the table side serving.To top of the evening was the OUTSTANDING donut desert served in New Orleans flaming style with caramel, Macadamia nuts and pineapple.Cant wait to return. “My favorite soondubu place! Korean restaurants don't usually have much vegan banchan but Surawon always has plenty of options, usually at least 4 out of the 6 or so banchan are vegan. My favorites are the firm tofu and seaweed. The mushroom, seaweed, and veggie soondubu, as well as the japchae, bibimbap, and pajeon can all be made vegan, and everything is excellent. Service is quick and friendly!Vegetarian options: Plenty of clearly labeled vegan options on the menu“

“I went here for my birthday and everything was delicious. We got the focaccia, whipped ricotta, & Cesar for starters. Everything was light but delicious. For the main we had the ragu pappardelle, the lemon pasta & branzino. My partner doesn’t really love branzino but he thought it was delicious. We couldn’t leave without the strawberry ice cream. That was the star of the night because we’ve never had a gelato like it!“

“Me and my wife went here as a last-minute anniversary meal. We didn't book but managed to get a place at the bar to eat. The service and food were excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I'd recommend the short rib beef to anyone that cared to listen. We sloped into the Old Man bar afterward for a final cocktail to finish the night. Drinks are a little pricey, if I'm honest, but the quality was there in abundance. I can't wait to go again.“

“Great slices and great customer service. Might be the best crust in LA. I heard they use something like 27 different flours or something wild. Whatever it is, the attention to detail really shines through. You can tell it’s special just looking at it, but biting in, it’s obviously special. Incredible flavor throughout. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I’m even tempted to try some of the vegan stuff ??♂️“
