The venue was beautiful and accommodating, but the food was downright awful. I had a salad that was supposed to have hazelnuts, found one singular half nut at the very end. I thought I had read the menu wrong until I realized that they just didn't include them. Plus, it was the portion of a side salad. $14, even in Northern California, should yield more than a side salad missing an ingredient. My boyfriend had a burger, which he ordered medium. It came so charred he could only eat half. It was overcooked, which he could have tolerated, except for the layer of charcoal on the exterior. The fries were good. One tiny thing, of all the delightful choices of ginger beer out there, why choose one brimming with preservatives? Not what I expected to be honest. The product choices out there are better and for the price, I expected better. we both have extensive restaurant experience. He managed restaurants on the Pier in San Francisco for 25 years. We don't complain, but this place truly took the wind out of our sails for such a lovely location and day.
