“Our family enjoys eating at Naked Fish in Millbrae. Their sushi rolls and bento boxes are always delicious. There are many options to choose from between the menu and their daily specials. Their food is presented well and amply portioned. Their service is consistently good and the servers are attentive. Whether we eat a late lunch or dinner with family and friends, we always leave this place full and content.My only criticism of this place is the location. Because the gym is directly above it, more specifically, the weight room, you can hear the weights dropping on the floor on certain occasions and it’s distracting. However, because we enjoy eating here more than anything else, we tolerate the noise on the few instances it’s happened.There is ample parking around, both on the street and in the parking lot next to it.Overall, I recommend you try this restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood.“

“This is a very nice place to sit down and have a meal and/or a drink. I am 24 years old, but I went to the 2nd biggest party college in Ohio (LOL), and I am here on a 10 day business trip in the Bay Area, and I have to say Mr. Chad N. at the bar here at Grill & Vine, is by miles and miles the best bartender or server I have ever had the pleasure of having. A very kind and considerate individual, and all staff really, especially for such a busy environment. I was very pleased with my experience here.“

“The dishes served here are creative takes on Italian cuisine from the Abruzzi region, specifically the town of Ofena where the chef Tim’s grandparents were born. The season’s produce plays a huge role in his choice of appetizers and entrees. The cocktails are similarly creative, and although we usually drink wine rather than cocktails, we were delighted to try the ones on the menu here. “Delicious American fare at SFO. The burger was good, it had a real nice flavor to it and was cooked very well. The fries were tasty nothing fancy. The wings had a nice dry rub on them. They were crispy and pretty big in size. It’s definitely overpriced for what it is but it’s an airport ?‍♂️ The service was friendly but it wasn’t fast. At the end your woofing down your meal and chugging your beer. ?“

“We were here a few weeks ago for dinner on a cold rainy night and this place did not disappoint with a warm inviting atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff!! The menu is amazing and the food was delicious! My sister had the fish and chips she thought it was delicious and fresh as can be! I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries and it was amazing, my Aunt had the chicken sandwich as well with side salad and she said the salad was very fresh and delicious as well as her sandwich. Definitely plan on coming back soon!“

“Located in the back of a hot dog restaurant, follow the white rabbit down the stairs to look for the entrance of a speakeasy. The atmosphere in here is absolute immaculate with a witchy/ astrological theme to the drink. You have your white tarot cards as classic cocktails & black tarot cards with an innovative twist. It gets booked up pretty fast but this is definitely one of the coolest bars to visit in the peninsula! Highlights: lost at sea: a pandan cocktail served in a lion cup old fashioned: they use really good bourbon for their drink it's actually a steal definitely one of the best that I've had Tip: there's drawings of what type of glass each drink is served in if you want any cute aesthetic cups for photo ops! Service is AMAZING. Loved the bartenders“

Hell of a guy and a place to match.It doesn't matter what you're wearing, who you're with or if you're alone, they will make you feel welcome. Even if the day went wrong, the personnel will help make it better.The drinks for an inside SF bar are reasonably priced.The gents are as honest as the day is long. Refreshing place to find and so close to where I moved. It's my new go to place for watching the game or whatever is on and having instant camaraderie with the patrons.“

“this is definitely the neighborhood bar, it's small and intimate and feels very locals only. no tourists or even people from too far having a drink here. there's a pool table and a jukebox. the prices are fair and service is pretty quick. clientele is pretty varied which keeps things interesting.“

“This Bernal Heights spot has been a lesbian bar since it first opened in 1962. When I paid my first visit quite recently, the irony was that most of the customers were guys. It was a chill vibe, and the bartender Heather had a been-there, done-that sense about herself which I quite respected. She made a fine $8 Tequila Sunrise (photo: which I promptly took out to the back deck. There was a female customer sitting contently on a couch, and she shared her long history with the place and generously walked me down to the large bucolic garden downstairs. I was surprised how large and private it was with lots of outdoor sculpture and various art pieces scattered among the foliage. I sat peacefully in my own private enclave. What a nice find on a mellow afternoon. DRINKS - 4 stars...the drink provided a nice balm AMBIANCE - 5 stars...definitely an unbeatable garden SERVICE - 4 stars...not much conversation but quick TOTAL - 4 stars...the secret garden, for sure RELATED - Exploring Bernal Heights? Surprisingly, many big names have played at this tiny beach venue, like The Mummies & Supersuckers! This place continues to create new memories for me each time!“

“Two of us had the $75 chef's tasting menu plus a wine pairing. Things got off to a great start with a tiny devilled egg as an amuse bouche which burst with flavor (a little odd for a plant-based establishment, though) - after that, things weren't quite as good. Everything was competently done; some of it was quite tasty - but more of "that's interesting" rather than "wow", with a slight tendency towards chewy. Timing was a little off: the first 3 courses arrived very quickly - before we'd finished the last one - and then there was a very long wait for the agnolotti, which were at best lukewarm. We had two servers; the first was so-so (e.g., he forgot to give us the tasting menu list); the second was amazing, and almost made up for the first. Sparkling or still water is included in the tasting menu. The $45 wine pairings were pretty good, although the two salad dishes were served together as one course, so we were expecting one more glass of wine, given the initial description from server #1. (We could have seen this if we'd had the menu to follow along with.) The venue is a striking, tall, remodelled barn-like building, with a fun buzz from the fellow diners. (There's a separate bar next door.) The temperature was a bit cool, though - and there were drafts when the doors opened. It seemed accessible. The bathrooms are worth a look, if only for the amazing marble washbasin centerpiece. We were glad we tried the place, and might well come back - but probably not for a while.“

“My new favorite dive bar in the city. A great blues band was playing the night we went and the atmosphere was fun and full of happiness. Excellent and creative cocktails (the Bee's Knees and the ginger cocktail are very much recommended). Service was exceptional, we'll be definitely coming back! Love this place, A+++Parking: best to get here via ride share because parking is extremely difficult to find.“

“My girlfriend and I came here because it was the highest rated wings in this part of South San Francisco. We walked past the place twice because we couldn't find it. Their sign is barely noticeable. We found it because of the address. The wings are incredible and the beers were equally good. Highly recommended. I just wish they had a better sign out front so people could find the place.“

“Great place. Very low key which is what I like as opposed to loud with obnoxious drunks. He keeps those guys (and occasional girls) out. Bartender/owner Justin is a great guy. I see other reviews saying he only pays attention to friends. Simply not true. There's a saying, close mouths don't get fed and this is no exception. If you ask or wave him down, you will get served. He's not just gonna stare at you till you finish your drink like people want. He will walk up and down the bar to make sure you're good or if you need anything then go and resume conversation with customers whether it be friends, regulars or newbies like I was. Has been my go to place for a month and a half now and am saddened that I was in the area temporarily and won't be in as often. Do yourself a favor and hit this bar up. Quieter than most bars but great selection and plenty of food in the area!! Some of the regulars are great too. Not territorial like other regulars in other bars. Made me feel welcome as hell there. The staff always remembers my name and is welcoming / engaging in conversation .... a true gem in regards to service. The Ave is and will always be the best bar around and a place that I call home.“

“I only heard about Chris' New Harbor Bar a few weeks ago as a Thursday night karaoke bar. Then found its owned by a Greek-American family that was celebrating Greek Independence Day that next Saturday. As I'm also Greek American I had to check it out. I like to say I support my own. The bar isn't a restaurant but George (the owner) and his family went out of their way to cook a feast of lamb, trigona, pastitsio (Greek lasagna), rice and traditional Greek salad, not to mention the blue tinted Ouzo flowed like water with a DJ playing modern and traditional Greek music. The house was full of Chris' regulars all having a great time. Even as it was my first visit I never felt out of place and all the clientele was welcoming and friendly.So, the following Thursday I made the 40 minute trek back from San Ramon for Karaoke night. Again, more regulars and most with pretty good voices. I had read several reviews about Chris' New Harbor Bar before my first visit. While most were happy regulars and cheerful first timers there were a few cranky patrons who just put it down as a dive bar and didn't like anything about it.As I mentioned earlier, I support my own, but I support any establishment that celebrates it's founding culture and goes out of it's way to put on a spread as George and family did the weekend before. And when you walk in it's a very American establishment, no one feels out of place. This is what a local bar is all about. My Thumbs Up to Chris' New Harbor Bar!“

“Great local bar tucked away in a small shopping center. The recent remodel includes a real stage for live music. They have booked a lot of great local Bay area bands lately. Full bar and friendly wait staff. There are sports tvs everywhere and there is one pool table. Check the events calendar as they have specials and live events every week. They do not serve food but you can order take out from the sushi restaurant next door.“
