Wow never realized the reviews on this place. From my experience I've never had any issues with the pan de ube and ensymadas. The pan de ube has tons of ube inside of it. I've been to other places and they really skimp you on the ube, but not at Valerios. The ensymada is big, the butter top has enough sugar, there's also enough cheese. One of my favorite ensymadas definitely!
Valerio's is a decent bakery if you're looking for some filipino comfort food. We go here for their fresh pandisal and ube breads. As most filipino markets, they are extremely overpriced for what they serve. I guess they are banking on the fact that you will crave that filipino taste so much you'd be willing to pay the higher price. Personally, I prefer to get my cakes and baked goods from Porto's. I was recently introduced to Tiuron thanks to this bakery. I am not a banana fan at all. So I was very skeptical of if I would like it or not. But this is now one of my favorite treats.
