10 Best Japanese Restaurants in Ontario

“Been wanting to try this place out since I saw the menu on Yelp a few months ago. It wasn't too busy on Mother's Day so we tried it. I like the way that they had a selection of not so common Japanese fare. We ordered the omurice, creamy uni pasta, ramen. We wanted to try out the "crazy rolls" also like the purple yam roll and the fruit roll but we were already full at that time. We enjoyed the ramen, hand rolls, and omurice (although the egg was a little dry). The creamy uni udon and sukiyaki using were ok but nothing spectacular. The place is a little pricey but it's ok. Would give it another visit.“

(I don't know why I was whispering to our server) Anyway, I ordered the miso ramen bowl and order of the crunchy dragon roll for my baby and then I ordered some desserts for myself such as the yuzu cheesecake (literally bite size for $4), Nutella cheesecake (probably $8, don't remember and it's shareable for 2 people, definitely tastes like a Ferrero rocher chocolate, absolute fire) chocolate temptation: $8.50 (it was good but also not my top favorite) tiramisu cheesecake: $8 (tasted Creamy, delicious, and just like coffee!) matcha tiramisu: $7 (was not my favorite, the matcha overall was too strong as it would normally be but it was way too overbearing and overpowering for me) & an original cheesecake (tastes gritty, good, hints of vanilla bean and Creamy, good taste but not my favorite) sushi was fire and the miso ramen too, definitely would come here again, especially since it's an 8 minute drive for usParking: If your lucky you can find parking spots in front of the restaurant and if not there's a ton of free parking behind the restaurant as well within walking distance :)Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly ?“

“Looked up sushi on yelp, and this place popped up. So glad it did. I tried the Kimal and it did not disappoint. It was a good size roll packed with flavor and tiny bits of mango made it that much more savory. The crunchy flakes a sauce added to the flavor and it was an excellent choice. Service was great, I was seated right away, the staff is nice and friendly. Different staff will ask if you need anything. It's great that they have tvs and have the game on. They also have the option to sit at the sushi bar. It's a nice place nothing fancy, clean, multiple sized tables and then again the sushi bar.“

“I live close by and one day my girlfriend and I decided to have a dinner date one night to some place nearby. When we first arrived it was a bit of a shock to see how well decorated and welcoming Bento Box was, "this restaurant is this close to us?!" I remember thinking. The food and service we both received here was exceptional, I ordered the Bento Box meal and my girlfriend selected some sushi rolls. We both agreed to come to Bento Box more often not only because of the fact that it's so close to home, but for the simple reason that they provided service, if not even better, than what you would expect from a big name restaurant chain. You can try them out yourself and either make it a dinner date out, or order your food for pick up and enjoy it at home, whichever you prefer. But do not be afraid of feeling awkward or uncomfortable if you dine in, everyone was super friendly and polite.“

“We found out about this place because my husband works a few blocks away from it and ever since we tried their food we haven't had sushi anywhere else. The food is very affordable, delicious and fresh. The customer service is exceptional! Definitely worth a visit!“
