“The food was amazing, we had the Ribs, pulled pork and brisket. It's some of the best BBQ in OC! I would have taken a picture but the food was so good that I forgot to pull out my phone! The service was amazing and the owner came out not once but twice and talked with us. Will definitely be coming back!“

“After many years living in OC, and even across the street for a short time, we finally made it to Smoqued! I'm often skeptical of bbq beyond the south, but Smoqued delivered. We got the 4 meat combo and it was plenty of food for 2 adults to feel stuffed and have leftovers. The kids meal is also solid, with great portions for $12. Our server was delightful and very attentive, though it did seem like she had a few too many tables to attend to compared to her colleagues. The ambiance feels like very local vibes, with regulars sitting at the bar, and lots of groups there for weeknight dinners. HAPPY HOUR is from 3-6 Mon-Fri, but only has $8 apps, and a selection of around 4-5 options. I'd love to see some discounts on drinks as well in the future. Overall we felt like Smoqued was great quality food at a great value and we'd love to come back!“

“This place may not be the fanciest of locations, but it's clear that their food is where their love is in. My wife and I love to get the Chicken Combo and the Kalbi Short Ribs. We split the meats and enjoy plates with three different types of meat. Make sure you get the sauces too! The chicken is good, their chicken katsu is amazing! And their Kalbi ribs are fantastic as well! I love their mac salad too. Their portions are generous as well.“

“The food was delicious. The service was fast and efficient. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and their specialty garlic butter Tulsa potatoes. The portions were generous. I took home a slice of carrot cake. The slice was enough for a couple of servings.“

“Everyone has their favorite smokehouse. I haven't been floored by any yet, but this is as close as I have come. They can get busy so prepare to wait on the weekends. But it's worth it. “The food is dynamite, service is top notch, plenty of TVs with sports channels, great covered outdoor patio style dining area. Food is well cooked and quick- hardly any wait. My favorite is the brisket & ribs, the pulled pork is fabulous and they've got a challenge sandwich called the Beast which is about a pound or more of their various pulled meats for those with a big appetite. Love the bbq baked beans & the banana pudding is the perfect dessert. Blake Jr. is usually there to welcome you. Lots of great pics of him & his Dad throughout the years. I was introduced to Blake's when my best friend said it's a family tradition to have their bbq before or after watching an Angel's ball game. I agree“

“We came in last night and I wish we would have taken pictures but we were super hungry to even think about it. This is our second time at this KBBQ and it is worth the drive and wait. The meat is so good, well seasoned and tender. I love how they give you plenty of sides and service is better than any other kbbq I have been to. Arshin our server was awesome he is very attentive, super cool and super nice when we kept asking him for refills or questions we may have had. He was very quick to change our grill as well before it got too burnt. The vibe is cool in there and good thing it is not loud in there where we can't hear each other. That's one of our pet peeves when we are trying to eat dinner and music is too loud. Definitely worth it give it a try we can't wait to go back.“

Combined with the grilled cheese on top and the honey dipping sauce, that creates the perfect bite. We also always order the risotto, which is super delicious. The restaurant didnt have enough servers. The person who cut the meat has to go clean up dirty dishes. 2 services have to run around serving 9 tables. Yuzu broth is my favorite. Good meal for the price though.“

The batter was lightly covered with crispy panko. There was plenty of rice for the two little kids to share. The mac salad was not as creamy as I am used to because it had canned tuna in it, but it was nice to have something a little different from other places. The seating area was spacious, and there was a self-service soda fountain with fresh tasting water. This restaurant was the perfect find for my tired kids.“

“i took my younger brother to this place when he went to college at UC Irvine, and whenever i muster the balls to spend the money, i'll take the drive to visit this great place (the bill between two people is often 200 dollars, food + drinks), although, we're big eaters, and if you're conservative, i imagine you can keep the bill under a 100 bucks between two.it's awesome. just amazing. the quality of their beef and the willingness of the staff to bend over backwards for you is just incredible.“

“It's good not your typical Korean BBQ. First, the prices are very reasonable. Enclosed but open air on the golf course, kind of like a large patio, so it does not get too smoky like a regular k-bbq restaurant. Banchan side dishes are good quality and well prepared, place is clean and airy. Excellent service, good quality meat, and larger than average portions for the price.
