We had a great time here! It felt like you were transported to the mountains of China. The food was artfully presented, and it was fun to have something different in a sea of Chinese restaurants. Our group wasn’t into the super spicy, so we didn’t try the ma-la stuff. The service was not super proactive but we were served quickly when we did ask for anything. All in all a great experience. I saw the sesame-flavored kidney slices on the recipe today, which seemed a bit special, so I ordered this. It tasted good.

We call a foreign cuisine authentic as long as it’s not heavily localized. And certainly this place is beyond authentic: it’s Szechuan food and atmosphere are both exactly what you can expect from restaurants in China.

Super famous Sichuan restaurant! Although I had to queue for half an hour when I went there, it tasted so delicious and it was really worth it! Several of us ordered the recommended boiled beef and Lao Ma's hoof flower soup. The food was very fresh and tasted very authentic! The service staff will take the initiative to help serve the soup and are very enthusiastic! Will come again!

The famous 川山甲 in boston is available in LA! Opened in May 2023, the restaurant is so well decorated, making this an immersive dining experience in a bamboo forest. My favorite has always been ma la pork intestine, it has crispy and chewy taste to it. THEIR CLAYPOTS ARE SO GOOD. The golden baked corn has salty cause it is flavored by salted egg yolk along with the sweetness of the corn made it dish delicious. Don’t forget their dessert, I like all of them.

The food is delicious, but the taste is spicy. I recommend the beef tongue, hoof flower soup, sheep scorpion, and fried rice.

Great unique environment and spicy food.

Food and environment are a 10/10 The food can get pretty spicy so it's always good to pair it with rice or boba. Downside is that there's always a long line during the weekend.

I like their pickle vegetables a lot. It's very spicy but it's very yummy. Not much variety.

Went to celebrate my 17 year old son's birthday with my parents and husband total 8 of us. Food took too long tocome out dragging from 1st dish to the last dish 1 hour apart. At the end of my meal I asked for my check and my waitress told me that my bill was already paid for and to just leave some tip. I was very honest and I went to the cashier to double check if it was paid because the check they showed me showed it was paid in full in cash. The same waitress came over and asked me to wait at the cashier and she will be right back. Little did I know she went to my table and asked my 80 year old parents and my 4 kids ranging from 12 to 19 if they paid for the bill. I saw her asking my family so I went back to my table asking her to come to the register with me. I asked her why she went to the table to ask my family if they paid for the bill and NOT the staff who closed the ticket in cash. If it was an error then just let me know and I will go ahead and pay for it. The waitress is the one who made the mistake telling me that my bill was paid and provided me with a paid in full receipt. However, she goes and disrespect me as an customer asking my parents and kids if they paid for the bill making my 12 year old daughter think that I did not have the money to pay for my bill. This is an total embarrassment cause by the waitress. I was simply double checking and making sure it was not an error on their part and losing out money caused by employees because I am in the service industry myself and I know how hard it is in the restaurant business these days but I was embarrassed in front of my parents and children. The waitress attitude to me at the end when I confronted her was "ok. Its my fault ok!" Zero sincerity and zero realization that she made a mistake. I feel bad for the owner who hired this waitress and to earn a 1 star review on Yelp. 1 start is too generous.........

Visited mountain Mountain in both LA and Boston this month, and LA's vibe was superior. The picked fish is outstanding, a must-try. The cucumber and pork dish has an impressive presentation strikes a brilliant balance between fatty richness and refreshing crispness. Plus, the tea was exceptionally yummy. While both locations have their merits, LA shines with its atmosphere and innovative cuisine.

Amazing food, great ambiance, good service. How that the wait isn't as crazy as when they first opened, this is the new favorite spot for our family!

I came here with a friend. As the name suggests, it is a Sichuan restaurant. I rarely eat Sichuan food, so I ordered spicy chicken and red oil noodles with my friend. It was spicy enough. The price was moderate and the service was good.

"It's the same chain as the one in Flushing, with a similar decor style. However, the service is extremely slow, and although it's the same restaurant, the taste is different. The one in Flushing is still better. Once they opened branches, the taste and chefs changed."

Food is good I would say the beef tongue was my favorite. you're definitely paying for the ambience and the display. The service could use more work, if this was like a regular restaurant, I wouldn't expect over the top service, but since this place looks fancy. I would hope that the service is up to par. Cool place but if you don't speak mandarin be aware you might have a hard time flagging the servers down
