“This place is extremely tasty. No negatives. Even better than I thought it would be. Take out only, with a little waiting area. Came out quickly, hot and fresh. I ordered the Papa bowl #1 (I think that’s what it’s called) with Kalbi. That little short rib was seasoned down to the bone, and had a nice smoky grilled flavor. That marinade is the best I’ve ever had. Also comes with lots of fresh steamed veggie, and a very flavorful dumpling. If you eat a lot or like a lot of meat, you may want to order extra meat or try a different bowl. It was perfect for me and very inexpensive for the quality of ingredients. The customer service was outstanding. Very charming and kindhearted lady served me top quality green tea in a cup noodles cup. So cute and charming. Please support this business.”

I've been visiting E Torito since 1996 and I have never once been disappointed in the food or service. The only thing I found disappointing in my recent visit was the lack of patrons. It's hard these days for a restaurant to remain successful. I encourage you all to to pay them a visit soon. We need to help keep them in business. I would be devastated if they ever had to shut their doors like so many businesses in California have done since 2020.”

They have a recipe for decades don't get me wrong but after being back after a few years, the dishes I tasted from friends and my own eggplant parm, were a tad too salty. However, I didn't ding a star because of the salt. I know some people really love that. I took a star off because of how ridiculous the prices are for the quality of food being served. Way too high for microwaved food. Sure there's inflation since I've been here, but I cannot in good conscious give this place five stars after spending over $150 for four people. The dessert was decent (granted its all from cheesecake factory lol).Will I be back? Yes. Will my wallet regret it? Everytime.”

“I'm from Texas and I'm actually from a large city in Texas but we don't have any homeless people. I believe that the bus system enables homeless people to travel about and invade other areas. I live in Arlington Texas specifically and we don't have any homeless there at all yeah it's a city of 400,000 people. What I've learned after coming West from Texas into places like Colorado New Mexico Arizona Nevada California Oregon and Washington is that the bathrooms start becoming more and more restricted. What I mean by that is they will have locks on them they will have actual buzzers that an employee has to hit to let you into the bathroom or some keypad that you have to beg for the code for while they ask you are you going to buy something. I'm leaving this five star review for this IHOP because I had a nightmare of a trip from Texas and ended up in San Bernardino surrounded by homeless zombie addicts and other weird things. When I stopped at this IHOP I felt welcome. There were no locks on the bathroom there were no keypads there were no employees running security for the bathroom at all. I was able to walk in sit down order my coffee and my pancakes and go use the restroom without asking permission. I believe that that is the root cause of my anger at businesses not allowing people to use the bathroom at all much less if you're even a customer in these types of areas and the reasoning behind that is that I have to actually ask somebody permission to use the bathroom it's not can I have the code to the bathroom you mind if I get in the bathroom I feel like that I am not allowed to relieve myself without asking someone else's permission. This has been a long rambling review but I just want to stress again that they deserve the five star rating just for the fact that there was no lock on the bathroom.”

“If you're trying to find the sketchiest dive bar as you leave Idlewild, this is the place to go. The photo online only captures a fraction of what you will experience. It's nestled in next to a tire automotive place that allows you to park there if you offer them cigarettes. The staff at lulus is amazing and apparently the customers are also employees because people were getting up and fixing random things around the bar as they were getting drunk. We played pool and got wasted for less than $40 which is unheard of and I think this should be a national landmark. Fat Finger club for life.”

Out of the corner of my eye I saw the sign for Empire Deli and I am so glad that I did. I got the Roast Beef sandwich on a roll. It was so good and fresh. They had lots of options. I can not wait to go back and try more from this place. It was very inexpensive for the quality of what they served. A very happy find for me. Last was really nice and I tried my best to speak what little Spanish I knew but she understood and we still got my order taken :) the food came out in good time and it looked really good! And oh my god, I was so happy that this place had actually really good salsa verde where it was actually had spicy in it. The surf & turf burrito, Diablo shrimp tacos, and chicken fajita burrito are ALL AMAZING! My husband often gets grilled or fried fish tacos or burritos and seriously loves them. The refried beans are probably my favorite locally, and I looooove their guacamole (very picky about restaurant guacamole because sometimes it’s overloaded with lime to prevent browning — this is fresh and just-enough-lime!). The service is also great, and they have an A+ selection of drinks for an order-at-the-counter place! My parents also loved it because they have a good selection of items that can be made vegan!Vegetarian options: Beans and rice are VEGAN, and they can make you something special if you ask!”

“Mitla Cafe has been on our list for a very long time. Over the years we have seen celebrity chefs eat here, and review it. We have done Route 66 and never have hit the restaurant when we could stop and eat, so on the way back from Joshua Tree National Park and a little bit of a detour, we made time to have lunch. So glad we finally got to eat here. The restaurant has been open in this location since the 1930's and is a gem in San Bernardino. We were seated right away, our server came over immediately and brought water, chips and salsa. The first basket of chips is complimentary, but you will pay $2.99 for a second basket, which I don't have a problem with. We both decided on our dishes. I went with a shredded beef taco, and Mr. B had the two enchilada plate with a shredded beef taco. The taco shell was crispy, filled with tender shredded beef, fresh crispy lettuce and lots of cheese. Sounds basic I know, but it really had an authentic taste to the dish. I did snag a couple of bites of one of the cheese enchiladas filling Mr. B's plate and they were amazing. He loved his plate, again the taco was filled to the brim, the two cheese enchiladas were filled with perfectly melted cheese and a unique and flavorful red sauce. They were not the flat enchiladas many Mexican restaurants serve, these were full of cheese and so good. The plate did not have rice and beans, which was great too. The plate was filling enough. We found street parking which was nice. The food was excellent, service great, and you feel the history within the walls and the photos that fill the walls. If we find ourselves in San Bernardino we will definitely eat here again. Note, that I didn't notice any vegan options, vegetarian options with the cheese enchiladas which are filling. Also, the menu states no substitutions and they mean it. So don't go in expecting to order a plate of food and change it, you can't. I believe others have complained about this, but we didn't have a problem with it. Sometimes you need to eat the food how it is prepared.”

I walked in and noticed it was clean, quiet and refreshing. I was greeted immediately and I absolutely LOVE good customer service. The menu was big and easy readable as well. I ended up getting tacos because it’s TACO TUESDAY & guess what, tacos were $2!!!! In this economy you can’t beat that. I ordered chicken tacos and it came loaded with salsa, onions, cilantro, radishes & jalapeño. The meat was FRESH! The tortillas were doubled up and soft and the chicken, was DELICIOUS! So tender(no fatty parts). I mean check out my plate ??? I left crumbs.I will definitely be back for more food and I’ll be trying the enchiladas next so they better HOOK IT UP. lolOoooh! I did use the restroom and as a female I love a good smelling, well maintained and spacious bathroom.
