“Oh my GOODNESS this place did not disappoint. We had to make a reservation some 30 days in advance but it was well worth it.There’s something so easy about having a little plate brought around right to you and being able to say “Yes I want that right now please” and just being able to eat it immediately. Absolutely divine. And the flavors were just I N C R E D I B L E. Every dish had some many layers to it, it was just amazing.1000/10 would recommend!”
“Seven Hills opens their kitchen and welcomes you into their home. The truffle pasta is what my boyfriend and I come back for every single time. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and the food is made so fresh. Truly incredible tasty date night spot — book ahead of time for sure as it does get busy. The polpette is a must try as well, the sauce is incredible”
“Going to a show, this is a great place to stop before the show. Just make sure you make a reservation, without one you’ll end up on the waitlist. The servers are great about asking what time your show is to make sure you’re out on time. Unfortunately, we felt ignored at the bar for way too long. We were there almost 15 min before we got a drink, and this is a lifetime when you’re sitting at the bar that holds 11 people total. Food was very good! The raclette foam could have had more raclette flavor, but I am just a good old cheese head. The duck was absolutely worth the order, I love this rich meaty dish and the way the pom seeds cut through the heaviness and add a burst of palate cleansing between each bite.”
“Alolo..Lolos! Well, here you can start a great tour of all the docks!! This is located on the side of the expressway. It is somewhat difficult to find free parking, but there are private ones at a cost.$$I liked that it is like a food court and inside there is this Oyster bar. In fact we started with an Oyster cocktail that has mix, Cajun sauce and an Oyster cherry!! Once we had put on our gloves, we entered into a clam chowder... but the time passed quickly. Recommended.”
“I need a deep dark roux in my gumbo. Restaurants that make gumbo in mass quantities Make their roux in a cookie sheet with pre-mixed fat and flour. Then they put it in the oven. That gives them tons of roux to make multiple batches of gumbo. Also, props on the beignets. You're about halfway there. You need the hole in the middle. But it is incredibly difficult unless there's one person dedicating themselves to the beignet dough. So I can't blame you for that.”

“The best italian food in the city in my opinion! You need to make reservations well in advance but they’ve also been able to accommodate us at the bar when we walk in which is just as nice, so definitely recommend that if you’re a party of one or two. The bread is delicious, their classic ravioli is a must-try, and the gnocchi was also amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating are both super nice and comfortable, and we’ve gone for both lunch and dinner and they’re equally great experiences!”
“Fantastic dinner and drinks! Small tapas-style dishes with fantastic flavor and plating. Drinks are gorgeous and delicious. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. Highly recommend!”

“Love the well made and tasty mole dishes at this location, with the theme accompanying it. It brings a homemade cooking energy to your experience. I recommend reserving a table, as walkins have been harder to do ”
“There’s CATS INSIDE BRUH THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!! Andddd i guess the drinks were super yummy too. I loved the cucumber gimlet 10/10 on that. Cutesy family (+jake?iykyk) business! I will hit this place up every time I’m in SF, you have to try it!”
“Food is excellent the French toast signature is the I'm tasted, quiche was out of this world. ? Services excellent. Visited this places it's amazing ? ?”
“My sister took me to this restaurant years ago and I loved it. The food is amazing and service always excellent and compared to san francisco, the prices are fair. You will not ”
“I know stonemill matcha gets a lot of hype, but honestly a little overrated. The matcha here? Surprisingly insane. Excellent, smooth, rich and flavorful. The way the shop looks is a turn off because it reminds me of a cellphone store (which I thought it was), but it's actually really damn good.”

“Came for brunch. Everything was divine. Gorgeous space on the corner so ample light. Highly recommend the pancakes (delightfully airy), the shakshuka, the radicchio salad, and the yogurt (rich with a cardamom-y essence).”
“Fantastic food, great service, excellent cocktails, and really interesting/diverse selection of Mexican wines. Weekend brunch is also really good. Best Mexican restaurant in SF!”
“Great place, great food and our bartender was really cool. The bar is kinda filthy, though.. there was a standing layer of dust and splatters all over bottles and the mirrored backing of the bar. A bar like this should glitter with promise, and with a little cleaning it'd be first rate.”

“Excellent food. I was worried it would be too Hawaiian and predictable, absolutely not. The only item that wasn't amazing was the baked Hawaii. It wasn't bad, just not great. One of our new favorite restaurants.”

“Dear friends steered us here and we had an amazing time. The service was impeccable, the food was phenomenal, and the vibe was "neighborhood gem." Go here!Dietary restrictions: Worked with my gluten allergy.”
“Best value tasting menu! Every menu item was delicious. Been there twice already. They change the menu every few days so there is always a reason to go back. Can’t believe they only charge $45.”

“from the creators of state bird comes another new american restaurant, more geared towards family style dishes. all of the dishes were tasty, ranging from good to amazing with a similar flavor profile as their sister restaurants so if you love state bird, you’ll love the progress. overall, the dishes were tasty but i was blown away by the cocktail.one punch man: one of the best cocktails i’ve ever had. perfectly balanced milk punch with nice creaminess, freshnessradicchio and point reyes salad: refreshing and tasty, good starter but nothing mind blowing. the cheese was deliciousartichoke toast: ordered based on waiter rec and glad we listened. best dish of the night. rich from the artichoke but the vinegar cut through. toast itself was perfectly made.brown butter seaweed noodles: would recommend! tasty umami flavor, al dente noodles. smaller portions tho.duck: perfectly cooked duck, not too chewy and nice smoky flavor. the wing was cooked through and also extremely flavorful. the two styles of cooking complimented each other. fried rice and kimchi were also tasty. pretty big portions, good to share with 4ppl.”
“Amazing food however recommend providing optional cushions for the blocky wood chairs. I have a hip injury and it was tough. The staff switched chairs to a less blocky chair but like all these places that are going for modern vibe or make it uncomfortable to turn tables, people with spine injuries pay the price. Giving 5 because food was awesome and staff did the best they could. Appreciate it.”
“Fantastic food, great service, excellent cocktails, and really interesting/diverse selection of Mexican wines. Weekend brunch is also really good. Best Mexican restaurant in SF!”
“Now called The Salty Dawg. Nice place for fancy drinks with friends. We went around 4:30 and the place was packed shortly after we arrived. Good vibes, good times.”
“I can't believe I've lived in San Francisco my entire life and hadn't had Liguria's focaccia until last month. I came in right before 9:00am on a Tuesday and was able to get three slabs of the pizza focaccia ($9 each), which is what my colleague who grew up in North Beach recommended, to bring to the office. It was easily one of the best focaccia I've ever had! No wonder they typically sell out well before they close for the day. I'll definitely be back to try the other kinds. Note: they're cash only.”

“One of the best pizzas in San Francisco. Very small place with a parklet out front. About 5 individual sized pizzas on offer, with a daily salad special, and two daily desserts. Very casual and unpretentious but the food is glorious. Has thrived for about 25 years.Parking: Challenging. Allow time. Or take Lyft, Uber, or the bus if you can.Wheelchair accessibility: Outside seating is accessible, inside would be a tight squeeze.”

“It's in the name, and frankly it's in the oven too, but it's hard to find anything that's not excellent here. Amazing pizzas with perfect, delicate crusts that are perfect blend of traditional and new school. Acapulco is my favorite, they're all a good choice. Great cocktails and wine program, and an amazing staff who will make you want to come back (almost) as much as the food. Ask about dessert!”
“Niku is a Michelin-starred steakhouse and cocktail bar in the Design District that offers an intersection of Japanese and American cuisines. Executive chef Dustin Falcon (ex The French Laundry, Lazy Bear) focuses on products from local famers combined with the best in class American and A5 Japanese wagyu, the highest grade of beef due to its high levels of marbling. If your credit card can handle it, opt for the $265 USD A5 Wagyu tasting, the best steak experience of my life. These exclusive cuts of beef were cooked to perfection on Falcon’s custom binchotan charcoal and wood-fired grill. The cocktails are also on point at Niku, with a short list of Japanese-inspired twists on classics together with well-balanced classic drinks. For dessert, follow Alexis’ lead and order the Chocolate Miso, a spectacular brownie made with wagyu fat! Coupled with wagyu fat caramel and miso ice cream, your taste buds will be overloaded with joy.”

“All in, 4*sThe food was good don’t worry. But it wasn’t as exceptional as I’d thought it’d be. Maybe I’m being harsh by taking a star away for the appetizer(Katsu), but the sushi rolls were fantastic. We had the Boddy and soul (5* Must try) and the surprise ending (which literally comes with suspense) - I won, it was fun!Boddy and soul was exceptional, the service was amazing, and so were the vibes.Recommended?: Yes!”
Outdoor Dining
“Recommend making a reservation if you want to sit inside with the plants. They had room for walk-ins on the patio area outside, which I preferred since it was loud inside. Cocktails & food were delicious!!!Vegetarian options: Mushroom risotto was really good & they can do it vegan if you ask!”

“Great food experience that is complemented by the ambiance, service, and dishes presentation. This is a premium service that i wish i could afford more often, but it is only for very special occasions. However, it is totally worthy.”
“This is a cute spot for a date night!Seems like on weekends it gets busier and booked up so we went for a later reservation. The vibe an interior is cozy and intimate. The service was great: friendly and helpful with recommendations. We all agreed the pasta was good and all got finished!Appetizers were good but not great--maybe some more options there would be nice.”
“Fantastic dinner and drinks! Small tapas-style dishes with fantastic flavor and plating. Drinks are gorgeous and delicious. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. Highly recommend!”
“Stop reading and go have the Moto, it's epic. Rest of the pizzas are legit if not outstanding. Props to the Nutella dessert pizza, quite good as well. Nice vibe in this joint too. Well done, West Add, well done.”
“Absolutely delicious food and amazing service!! It's an intimate wine bar with a great ambiance. They were also so accommodating for my gluten free modifications! My friend and I had a great time here!”
“I love Outerlands, it's a beautiful, small and cozy space and at dinner time it is lit just right. We were a large group seated by the window, and the service was truly impeccable. The String Theory & River Crossing cocktails are two of the best drinks I've ever had, anywhere. They make that aperitivo rossa themselves, OMG. Balanced perfection and, oh, just SO GOOD! Outstanding mixology. The starters were great (esp the kohlrabi salad--GET IT!), but a bunch of us had the chicken as our main and it was sadly disappointing. It might seem extreme to give three stars for food based primarily on the chicken alone, but I do feel that chicken is such a foundational/cornerstone dish for a restaurant, the chef should feel compelled to put out the best possible version they can. It was dry, the skin wasn't crisp enough, and it was accompanied by a crouton, chicory, and fennel salad that was very tart and one dimensional, totally missing balance (I think it needed some currants or golden raisins--SOME spec of sweetness to offset the VERY bitter chicories and the lemon vinaigrette). All five of us who ordered the chicken left half the food on our plate--and we're hearty guys who love to eat. Please, take a critical look at this dish. Your customers are loyal and we love you and want you to succeed. BTW, great date night ambiance!”
““Fusion” omakase. Expensive but very well executed, everything we were served was delicious. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar to get the full experience, our chefs at tables 9 and 10 were fun and engaging throughout service. The sake omakase was underwhelming, but YMMV, our drinks server was busy as he was serving the entire joint, on a different night, it might have been better.”
“Came for brunch. Everything was divine. Gorgeous space on the corner so ample light. Highly recommend the pancakes (delightfully airy), the shakshuka, the radicchio salad, and the yogurt (rich with a cardamom-y essence).”
“5 stars. The tacos and burritos are delicious, but my favorite is the quesadilla. Carne asada is my go-to filling, and I usually get whatever I'm ordering 'dorado style' where they crisp up the tortilla. Sometimes I go 'super' with the sour cream and guac, but it's not necessary. Always get my food spicy in addition to having them add grilled serrano peppers. Staff is hard-working; they run a tight ship. Gotta get their early or be prepared to wait in line.”
“We were running a bit late but the owner was super accommodating and understanding and still accepted our reservation. On top of that the Staff are extremely friendly! Then we get to the food! It was phenomenal! We ordered several items and all were excellent! I have to say the Oysters were delicious but don't sleep on the fish-n-chips or the Crab sandwich!! All great!!”
“Amazing food and great service! LOVE that this place gives their workers a fair wage and health benefits. Makes me want to eat there even more! ❤️❤️❤️”

“We had the best time at Sorella! The food was amazing and we left feeling full. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and delicious and the wine recommendations we had paired with our meal so well. Our favorite part about the dinner though was the service! Our waiter was extremely attentive but not over bearing. He was also hilarious which added to the experience! Everyone was so respectful and happy. Truly a great experience- we will be back!”

“Went to Scoma's for Restaurant Week 2024 and we were not disappointed! For people who don't know of Scoma's, its a classic San Francisco seafood restaurant on the pier. With the waiters still wearing white jackets and traditional wood panel walls, it encompasses everything you could recall from great restaurants from the past.Dinner was great, we started with a Dungeness crab cocktail, followed by a perfect bowl of clam chowder. Our main course was a fresh steamed Dungeness crab covered in a yummy garlic butter. And for desert we had one of the best cannoli I have ever had! The whole prefix dinner was $90 and worth every dime.”

“Cute French restaurant with excellent food! We ordered extensively and have no regrets. Portions was great. You leave feeling like it was too little nor too much. Things we ordered: -Miyagi oyster special -Dungeness crab pave: this was a HIT. Much appreciation for the thinly sliced hasselback like potato base. So yum. -tuna sashimi: freshhhh -Hen of the woods: burst of umami. Perfection -crispy squid: perfectly crispyyyy -mushroom farro "risotto" with crispy kale and bacon: loved the flavors here! But a part of me wishes it was the real risotto. -duck confit: CRISPY SKIN. Ugh so good. Fall off the bone.l -pineapple napoleon: blown away by this as someone who does not care for napoleon at all. I liked this -chocolate mousse with coffee crumble: a tried and true fave of mine Service was attentive. Never had my glass empty. No complaints here. Would def go back. Appreciated how cute all the table ware and flatware was too.”
“Ju Ni in San Francisco is an exceptional dining experience that deserves no less than five stars. Specializing in Japanese cuisine, the restaurant offers an intimate and meticulously crafted menu that showcases the finest ingredients and culinary skills. Holding two Michelin stars for two years is a testament to its consistent quality and innovation. The chef at Ju Ni is not only professional but also engaging and interesting, adding a unique touch to the dining experience. This place is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unparalleled sushi experience in San FranciscoP.S. I believe the dinner menu starts around 200 per person. Adding drink and some other items, it’s around 300$ per person.”
“Incredible flavors and a lovely, cozy dining experience. We felt so well taken care of by Tricia and our sushi chef and they made celebrating our anniversary really memorable. The unique flavor combinations and quality of the fish were so good. Some of our favorites from the oki: the ora king salmon, the sea bream, the otoro and the sashimi salad with the shiso flowers. The chef explained each course and paced our meal so we never felt rushed. The sake selection is awesome as well with really unique and different flavors like the takacho "regal hawk" that would be great on its own for sipping and the very plummy ume suppai. Next time I might pick the chisai and try more supplements. We left feeling comfortably full and satisfied.”
“A beautiful blend of flavors and textures. I'm giving a 4 because it's my first time there and I'd like to see what's next on their seasonal menu.I went here for my birthday so my media has no labels. I was pleasantly surprised with each of the dish that we had. Each item had their own uniqueness to it and I love how original the flavor combos were. I personally like going to restaurants that have an assembly operation in front of you because it's cool to see how these dishes beautifully come together.I will say the dessert was a very refreshing yet satisfying touch. Hibiscus ice cream on top of a rose apple with a buttermilk foam. Like...just wow.Highly recommend for a special occasion or just treat yourself. Well done chef, I'll be coming back.”

“Excellent service! Recommend Peking Duck, whole crab with vermicelli & prime steak with mushrooms. Excellent veggie (Yu Chou) stir fried with garlic cloves. Food was well seasoned but not salty nor greasy. Small'ish dining room so reservations are a must”
“If there’s any complaints possible is that the Chef’s pick was too much food. The lamb Massaman curry was unbelievable. It is quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. It was a fantastic meal with fantastic service. You cannot go wrong eating here.”
“Food was excellent, portions are massive, service was great. We had the sunday lunch special where for 32 dollars got a drink, an appetizer and an entree and couldn't eat it all. Food was extremely high quality and the banh mi's and noodle bowls are the size of your head. Cannot recommend enough.”

“Truly for "Friends Only!" Ten seats at an "L"-shaped raw bar. Got to chat and share experiences with all the guests AND the staff. Made a lot of "Friends" tonight and got to share dining at its finest and food of superior quality and taste!”

“This spot is pretty great. Solid vibes, lots of high quality beer and wine, and their Sangria is delicious! I've been getting their Chicken Sliders lately which are bomb.”
“10/10 would recommend the Party Table, located inside the Pasta Shop, especially if you're looking for something intimate with friends. This is what I did for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. The chef's selection was an array of dishes. It felt like food and wine just kept coming to our table. Initially, I was looking for a place that could accommodate a table for 10 which seemed almost impossible in SF, or at least the restaurants I enjoy eating at. To add, I'm not the biggest fan of eating Italian at restaurants or tasting menus / small plates. So I took a big gamble when I made reservations with Penny Roma...but I'm so glad I did! Each dish was flavorful, the service was attentive, and the environment was chill.”
“Impeccable service, some of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area (including the 50+ Michelin starred restaurants I’ve visited). Love that the head chef and kitchen staff get involved in the service. Terrific beverage pairing. Admired the Chef’s willingness to get off the beaten path a bit with the 20 or so bites/dishes and not just play the fancy diner’s greatest hits. A few misses the night we were there including the pork (dry), minuet & dungeness crab (too salty) and mackerel (too much vinegar/acid). The Som clearly loves his craft and breathes life into his also unusual pairings. A shoo-in for a Michelin Star, and I suspect with time two stars as the food continues to be explored and tested for excellence. $245 for the menu and $165 for the pairing feels neither like a steal or robbery but on the money. Hats off John Wesley and Team.”

“If you need a locksmith, I strongly suggest this locksmith and crew. They are incredibly prompt and professional. I phoned, and he arrived the same day, which was exceptional. He performed an excellent job at our property. In addition to replacing a lock and producing replacement keys, Team provided me with valuable information and suggestions regarding my type of lock.”
“I loved working with Elizabetta for my birthday cake. She was super easy to communicate with and perfectly nailed my barbie cake fantasy complete with a quote from the movie. The cake itself was a work of art but the taste, omg, all my friends were floored. I've also been able to find her slices at Falletti Foods and love all the flavors. I do, however, go crazy for her basque cheesecake. I could have a whole one in one sitting. So luscious, creamy and delicious!”
“The owner works hard ,she remembers your order and your face..the elephant in the room is the junk addled zombies that congregate outside and crowd the place when their welfare arrives and think nothing of taking 30m to order a donut ....luckily if your a regular you'll get your order before the bus comes!!Hardest worker in S.F”
“Imagine bowling and then you walk straight into Krispy chicken heaven. Expect nothing but the best chicken experience of your life. Ask for extra mayo from their secret menu!”
“City view commissary is a class A establishment! Beautiful kitchen and storage areas. They offer 24/7 security frozen dry and walk in fridge storage spaces in the kitchen area. Automated gates with PIN code access as well as lock box keys for kitchen and storage entry. Kitchen hours can be booked. City view offers several cooking areas which have stove oven and frying capabilities. Bonus equipment that they have is two large mixers and ice machines that are serviced regularly! There are two pull down dishwashing machines and sink areas. Outside truck storage areas have power outlets built into each stall with different size outlets to fit 220/110 connections. Another bonus for city view is that they have a high pressure washer and DSD machine that can be used to service your food truck or trailers grey water and water tanks. Restrooms and a shower if needed! We did not get to use the commissaries event space but they do have a large event area for parties. Last but certainly not least is the greatest asset that city view has to offer which is CJ! Cj is the manager at city view, he has been an absolute pleasure to work with since we joined the commissary. Knowledge foresight collaboration empathy humor all wrapped up within this awesome human being.”
“This is the best spot in sf between midnight and 5. Give James and Gus and may and tony and Ming a raise already. The best place on the Main Street of the best city at night.”
“AWESOME. A COFFEE-MAKING ROBOT! it lets you choose the blend of coffee you want and dispenses it. The robot also does the cutest little waves. Coffee was surprisingly good albeit a little expensive at 7.25 but it didn’t ask for tip so it cancels out for a regular Californian price latte. it offers oatmilk as well! The matcha is great and tastes like actual matcha. 10/10 would recommend.”
“It's an express so out of a machine! I got a spicy kimichi beef and OMG first time trying it and was unbelievable good! It took less than 5 mins to come out. It was inside the UCSF cafeteria so it's a little loud.”
“Gersón gave us a great experience with a smile. I ordered online and he brought the food to the table, even waiting to bring it out until the other dishes ordered in-restuarant were ready. Excellent friendly service by this man. Food came out extremely quickly and was the quality I expected. Will definitely be coming back.”
“All the times I ate here, I always had a pleasant experience. The staff is super friendly and polite. Their food selection has more variety. Their food is actually very tasty. The only thing that was a downer this day was a homeless man quietly talking to himself while eating his food.”
“So, when deciding how many stars to rate it’s important to keep everything in context! For example, the atmosphere here is not very welcoming. The seating section is often closed and the energy from security is very “get in, get out. No loitering. Bye!”, but when taken in the context of how central a location this place is and that it’s one of the only remaining 24/7 spots in The City, in that light I think they’re actually doing a pretty good job!Their food IS expensive AF! OMG! But it’s also always satisfying. Every time. Consistency is a virtue. Unlike the food you get from REDACTED or REDACTED. So, I guess, you get what it is that you pay for.Oh yeah AND they accept EBT, too! And in my eyes that’s exceptional and appreciated FR!All things considered, I’m just happy this place still exists at all. Because without it our options are Orphan Andy’s, Denny’s?, Bob’s Donuts, Allstar Donuts, Pizza Zone ‘N Grill (but only until 3 or 4am weekends), 7-11, or Walgreens. What happened to San Francisco’s Night Life?”
“Lots of space, upstairs. Great pan handle and free soda fox like lokey.Parking: Drive-through is long as f yet fast fast.Wheelchair accessibility: Do a Wheely in it too”

“The best dessert/ice cream in San Francisco and an absolute gem in sf. Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great! There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. I wish I took a picture.Hila herself is so funny and kind- and patiently practiced speaking Italian with me.Her space is in a lovely part of mission near Dolores park and has a few seats inside. If I lived closer, I’d probably come every day ;)Grazie Mille Hila :)”
“We had an amazing experience at Abrazo with our friends! We tried a lot of tapas and all of them were simply delicious. I would particularly recommend the charred octopus, croquetas, albondigas, and gambas. The paella was exceptional, it was one of the best I have ever had in the States. I enjoyed my Rioja a lot. The restaurant had a very lovely vibe and it reminded me of the restaurants in Madrid. The people were kind and the service was excellent. So, I would recommend Abraza to anyone around.”
“Sandy’s never misses. The muffuletta and pickled egg sando are a favorite. We’ve been several times and the quality is always consistent and amazing. Such a brilliant idea to put chips in the egg salad sando. 12/10, can’t recommend Sandy’s enough! If I lived closer to Sandy’s I would definitely come here once a week.”
“What a lovely place. Top end dining with no pretentiousness. Pleasant, cozy setting with likeable and capable staff. Don't hesitate to take an earlier seating; by the time you are done dinner, it will be late. The zero-proof drinks are genius; I didn't miss the ethanol.”
“I’ve been here twice now and only eaten the tasting menu, an option Copas and chef Julio do on thurs/fri. Incredible experience both times, getting different, creative dishes like a Dungeness crab taco and a brisket mole. The price point of the menu and the bev pairing, done by Erica, are fantastic. For the quality-to-deal ratio, this is prob the best in the city. I’ve been to californios, a two star spot and many of the dishes here at Copas would fit seamlessly in there if not outshine them. Chef and Erica are wonderful to chat to and have a o-so obvious talent and love for their crafts. There’s zero doubt I will return for a third time”
“When there’s a portrait of Nina Simone on the wall, that’s all you need to know, the foods gonna be amazing, and it was. Everything was delicious and the Socca was exceptional. What I loved most is that its the kind of place friends come to enjoy each other.”
“This is my favorite italian restaurant in San Francisco, the closest thing you can get to authentic italian cuisine. The environment is very cozy (that of a traditional trattoria), and the staff is super friendly & helpful, Milo is the best :)”
“Beautiful ambiance and delicious Portuguese cuisine, I loved my first outing here with my boo who has been here before. We started off with a yummy potato soup followed by cod and potato fritter. For our entrees, I ordered the bacalhau à Gomes de sá, and my boo ordered the carne de porco à alentejana (I liked his dish a little better). We didn’t skip on dessert, and ordered the beautiful pastel de nata. Will be coming back again!”
“I always forget to take pictures of the food here because we did in so quickly. I love the food here, the restaurant is lovely and comfortable, and the staff are very kind. I love their rotating menu and delicious cocktails. I look forward to the next special occasion that we choose to spend at The Morris.”
“Super yummy pizza at a pretty great price. Only thing stopping from a five star is the combo slice was a little soggy from being over topped w/ veggies (tomato slice, zucchini, mushrooms, onions). Definitely stick with the classic pepperoni.”
“La Ciccia is a gem of San Francisco. If you like Italian cuisine and you like seafood, you must try this Sardinian restaurant, featuring a seafood-heavy Italian cuisine that's unlike most Italian restaurants in the area.I thought the place closed, and only recently learned that the restaurant survived the original owners retiring. A real estate agent who lived a couple of blocks away and who was a regular customer decided to purchase the business. They kept all the staff, including the head chef. Supposedly, it was just as good as under the original owners. We were certainly pleased with our visit. We started with simply grilled squid and an order of their Sardinian flatbread, pane carasau. The flatbread reminds me of Indian papadam, but flavored with olive oil and intense rosemary. For her entree, Marcia got the house specialty -- homemade spaghetti with spicy olive oil and shaved bottarga (cured fish roe). Whenever we've gone to La Ciccia, at least one of us orders this dish, and in this visit, it did not disappoint.I decided to try something different and get the fettucine with a tomato and sea urchin sauce, topped with a shaving of cured tuna heart. I love Marcia's pasta with bottarga, but I'm so glad I tried something new. The sauce was amazing -- the tomatoes didn't overpower the sea urchin, and that wonderful flavor of the sea shined right through. For dessert, we split the chocolate panna cotta. It was fine. Marcia liked it more than me. Toasted hazelnuts added a nice texture and flavor to the dish.”
“Hands down THE best croissant in San Francisco. But they have so much more than that. Pates, quiches, desserts - and they all look so Parisian. Walking in is an exercise in self control. But the good news is, if you do cave in, it’s worth it!”
“So many amazing sounding pastas I couldn’t decide. Had to settle with 2 and I’ll definitely be back to get some more of them.Everything just tasted so good and unique. Sit at the chefs counter to see how it’s all done :)”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“I stopped by Barebottle Brewing and had a blast! Their flight option let me taste some cool hazy and stout beers. The stout was my favorite—it was really tasty! The place is huge and has lots of different beers to try. Plus, they've got games to play, which is fun. It can be a bit tough to find parking, but they've got a food truck for snacks.”
“Discover a slice of Japan's exquisite culinary tradition at this premier omakase and Tapas fusion restaurant. Each dish is a masterpiece, blending authentic flavors with artful presentation. The chef's passion for cuisine shines through, promising a truly authentic omakase experience. The Chief, George, adds to the ambiance with a welcoming presence that's attentive yet unobtrusive, ensuring a memorable dining experience.”
“We didn't realize this place was cash only until we arrived, so as a workaround, we ordered online and checked out using square payments. Fortunately, we were still able to dine in, and the hostess checked in with us and brought us water. The food was solid, not the best I've ever had but nothing wrong with it. It’s a good place to share a meal with friends or family; just don’t forget to bring cash!”
“FoodI always order the NAKED CHICKEN plus fries. Very flavorfulServiceFriendly staff and great quality of burgerAtmospherePerfectly fine. There napkin and handwipe on every table.”
“First time at Rocket Sushi.I had the Tonkatsu Curry at my friend's recommendation and it was delicious. My friend ordered the udon and ate every bit.Service was good. We dined on a Monday so the atmosphere was pretty mellow and everyone seemed to be having a good time.Would definitely go back.”
“A great neighborhood bar serving fine casual restaurant quality American food, hand crafted cocktails, import and craft beer, served in a cozy atmosphere where the friendly service makes you feel at home and always welcome. Add on plenty of outdoor patio seating, a variety of live music, dancing, a pool table, darts, and a hip vibe, and this place makes you want to come back again and again.Parking: Paid parking meters available during the day, free after 6pmKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome during the day”
“Been here a couple of times but must say in San Francisco because the one in Oakland get only 1 star from me, food is good and service as well, parking on the street might be a little ”
“Very friendly staff and I love the music that was playing wasn't too loud and perfectly appropriate. Great mid-evening crowd giving the place a warm atmosphere filled with friends. The gumbo was easily the best I've ever had. A little on the pricey side but every bite was rich and fantastic. Will absolutely come here the next time I get the chance.”
“I just recently relocated to the area, and although there are many spots to choose from I just love this cafe. There are always people sitting in the cafe visiting, watching a soccer or football game, and the workers are so nice. I am always making "special" orders (modifications like no cheese, no dairy. etc) and the staff has always welcomed these requests and exceeded my expectations while making my order with care. It feels like you popped into a friend or family member's house to grab a bite/ coffee. I will be coming here often!”
“This is your cue to visit this beautiful location if you haven't already.Wonderful people, an authentic interior, but food! It's beyond words to describe. To believe it, you have to feel it. each dish is cooked to perfection, with an excellent flavor balance. I love it.”
“Good menu, good food and perfect service. Recommended to spend an afternoon with the family, after a long tour of the wonderful views and streets of San Francisco.”
“Great food but small portions. I’d order the rice again but the wings and spring rolls were basically cut in half to make it look more fuller.3 spring rolls for $12 cut into 6 piecesAnd about 5 wing flats cut into half also $12”
“OMGWhat just happened?Go to MaMo restaurant.Have the beef arrepa. It comes with salad.?I couldn't believe what happened to meThe flavor experience was not only startling, but bafflingly enjoyable. What a pleasant surprise to find such a hidden gem in the North Beach neighborhood. I don't know how I walked past it so many times and never even noticed it is right here...Finally, I have a suggestion to share with the Texan who usually gives me all the recommendations for this neighborhood. It all happened so quickly, I didn’t think to get a photo(s) to share, and it was already over.I’ll go back, though—that’s for sure!Selection of beer and wine.Clean bathroom.Really friendly service.Free parking on the street up to 2 hours.Dine in or take out.If you choose to give a thumbs-up ?? or not, I hope you found my review helpful!Vegetarian options: vegan options. salad.Dietary restrictions: vegan optionsParking: free street parking up to 2 hours.Wheelchair accessibility: no step. wheelchair table.”
“The quality of their coffee and the skill at pulling espresso shots is the best in the city. They roast their own beans on site and have a health + delicious food menu. This is my favorite spot to grab a great americano in the city.”
“Order was delivered very quickly and sandwiches were still very hot.I got the Pastrami Sandwich with the eggrolls and both were excellent. Perfect amount of meat and tasted fresh. The eggrolls were so awesome, never tasted anything like it.Will order again soon.”

Pizzetta 211
“One of the best pizzas in San Francisco. Very small place with a parklet out front. About 5 individual sized pizzas on offer, with a daily salad special, and two daily desserts. Very casual and unpretentious but the food is glorious. Has thrived for about 25 years.Parking: Challenging. Allow time. Or take Lyft, Uber, or the bus if you can.Wheelchair accessibility: Outside seating is accessible, inside would be a tight squeeze.”

“It was always pleasant to experience chef making your the nigiri in front of you.My favorite dish from the menu was:Honmaguro Toro Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Anago Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Kamasu Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hojicha Ice Cream ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Recommended to visit this restaurant to experience high quality Japanese cuisine!”
“Love the omakase. The food is not just fresh/tasty, but VERY creative. Alex is very charming and it’s always fun to interact with him during the meal. Highly recommend the bar experience.”
“Absolute perfection. My husband and I will remember this evening for the rest of our lives. The food was divine. Flavors, inspired. Service, attentive, delightful, and not intrusive. Each dish was presented with a brief but detailed description so that we could appreciate the food even more. You’ll want this to be your next dining experience. They take it all to the next level of sublime.”
“What a wonderful, though pricey, lunch! We splurged and enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The caviar, Krug Champagne, oysters, and so forth paraded before us over the course of three hours. Of particular note is the fabulous wine list and the very helpful sommelier. We enjoyed a delicious Puligny-Montrachet, 2019.”
“Beautiful and classic restaurant with great food and drinks. The service was phenomenal, the food mouthwatering, and the atmosphere incredibly chill. We had a fantastic time on our date night here. Highly recommended to try their lamb!”
“There are very few restaurants that serve amazing vegetarian prix fixe menus (every single item on the menu was a 10/10), and also leave you feeling full / content at the end of your meal. Flour + water does that! Highly recommend for a special occasion splurge!”
“This is a restaurant I've been to numerous times and each time the space takes you somewhere special, a culinary journey really. Very upscale restaurant and environment. A perfect experience. The staff were all so awesome, fun group, and very professional as well. The food was incredible. The service is impeccable, presenting each dish to highlights it's freshness and meticulous construction. Highly recommend!”
“The entire evening was perfect - the service, excellent; the explanations of each course was right on; the food, outstanding; the wine list, perfect. In other words, it was an excellent experience. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the birthday special - from a hand written birthday card to a surprise additional birthday sweet with candle at the end. In addition the staff was very careful to meet our dietary restrictions. I cannot state more than this: it was noteworthy and will return.”
“This was the most amazing culinary experience that we’ve had so far in San Francisco! We had the tasting menu (8 courses) and enjoyed every single dish so much. Also the wine pairing was spot on. Would highly recommend to go here asap!”
“One of the best meals we’ve ever had in SF at an amazing price. ???Amazing flavors from finish to end. Excellent service. It was wonderful to see the chef dancing while cooking. What a gem.”
“This is a really special place in SF. Not what you expect as a typical Omakase place or sushi place. I've been here once and excited to go again with my husband!”
“A gem. SF is so lucky to have a place like this to call its own. Non-caricature chef’s tasting: in every bite you feel the chef’s soul and peer into his vision (if you frequent nyc fine dining or read Pete Wells’ piece on Nōksu, fair or not, you know what I mean.) Seasonal ingredients, personified in the chef’s diverse culinary journey.During the winter months, be sure to round up a crew of 4-6 and pre-order the king crab. The vibe is cali-convivial, in the best sense of laid back but get it done way.Early weekday seating, the restaurant is sparsely seated and it feels like you are a guest in chef’s home, warm and inviting.”
“A phenomenal omakase experience. The customer service and food is top notch. Recommended for either those who fly solo or are looking for an intimate dinner date. Not cheap by any means, but you get what you pay for; which, in this case, is the quality and experience. Reservations are recommended since there are only 12 to 16 seats - walk in without a reservation at your own risk. Will be visiting again at some point.”
“Was a happening spot. Portions were quite large, soo full at the end.Did the kitchen cooks - which just means we try most things on the menu in “sample” size.”
“There are not enough stars to describe the experience. The food was not only incredible but the presentation was beautiful. The service was magical from the hot towels to the goodie bag you go home with. The space is fabulous and I would go back in a heartbeat ?”

Cheap Eats
“The absolute best bagels (I’m partial to their Everything), and their cream cheese selection is also stellar. Better than anything I ever had during my years living in NYC! I like how you can toast and eat them at home since it’s all take-away. For dinner, the Detroit-style pizza is tasty and the place has a chill vibe with great music playing usually.”
“Holy Water is a fantastic neighborhood bar. Amazing selection of whiskey and mezcal, the Zombie is Delicious, and they always have some sort of high quality stout from Private Press. The lighting is mood, and they are dog friendly!”
“If you like vintage music and retro atmosphere this is the place!Great quality well made cocktails at prices that won’t break the bank. Hands down one of the funnest bars in San Francisco!”
“Honestly, my favorite sandwiches in SF. Really high quality meats... crisp, fresh produce... several homemade condiments... and Acme bread! It's always hard for me to make up my mind about what I want. Call or use an app to order ahead, it might take a minute to make your sandwich.”
“What a fish burrito! Perfectly cooked, and great flavor. I had the fried fish of the day with their signature hot sauce and it was perfect after a day of walking around. A must-stop if you are over by ocean beach.I went on rainy day which means seating wasn’t great as it’s a walk up restaurant with outdoor seating, but could imagine it on a beautiful sunny day. (On the plus side I got my food really fast).”
“Everything you want from a bahn mi, it's cheap, the bread is great, and it's got plenty of meat. Go in the off hours if you don't wanna wait in line. And bring cash.”
“Creative flavors that are delicious. The saffron/jaggery and black sesame was one of the best ice cream combos I have had in a while. The workers are also always super kind and generous with samples.”
“Great service and ambiance. Place where there are great places to sit for a quick coffee, go heads down on your laptop, or have lunch with a small team or group of friends.I was not blown away by the coffee or food I tried, but was decent and made up for by the rest.”
“My friends highly recommended this place to me, and I tried it for the first time today. It definitely met my expectations. Their combo menus are best-sellers and they are really satisfying. You can choose your own meat, which is great. The food was delicious. One of their most popular menu items is the mushroom garlic, but I didn't try it because I don't like mushrooms. Just something to keep in mind!”
“Wildly popular and mostly lives up to the hype! Although, I think the Breakfast Sandwich and the Morning Bun are overrated. IMO, the Smoked Salmon Tartine and the Pressed Ham & Gruyère Sandwich are the can't miss highlights of the menu. The standard baked goodies like the Almond Croissant are also v solid. The big open seating space give me "easy like Sunday morning" vibes that you can keep going by swinging by Heath in the same building or just taking a stroll through the neighborhood.”
“Best croissant I've ever had! Absolutely loved the almond croissant- flaky on the outside but so buttery + soft on the inside. Parallels Paris quality (maybe even better). So good.”
“Came to try a famed Mission burrito, stayed for the chicken tacos! We visited on a Sunday around 3pm and there was a line out the door! The line moves very quickly though so don't let it deter you. An important thing to note is that El Farolito is CASH ONLY. We ordered the Chicken Super Burrito, a Steak Crispy Taco and a Chicken Taco. The Burrito was large and filling! I would not recommend the Steak Crispy Taco because the hard shell was cold and reminiscent of a store bought shell. The Chicken Tacos on the other hand were AMAZING! We ended up ordering two more before leaving. They give you a ticket with a number and the servers will bring the food to your table so keep an ear out for when your number is called. Drinks need to be opened at the cash register with a bottle opener. Happy eating!”
“Recommend:- batata starter and the eggplant starter: both were super flavorful- chicken chich touik- namura : unique and delicious dessertCould be better:- super falafel wrap: the falafels were kind of dry- hummus: more variety of flavorful hummus would be goodEasy to get a reservation at and friendly staff.”
“We tried a bunch of coffee in this area, this one by the best one out of all of them. The croissant with chocolate was really good and we tried special coffee with coco y choco, which really good and my sister tried the cafe con morro which was good too but we found ourselves to be more of the coco choco gals. The cute lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful in explaining things to us, the cafe is nice and spacious and clean. You want good coffee stop by here”
“The funghi pizza which I took away to eat in front of the painted ladies could have been one of the best pizza I have ever had. A lot of mushrooms and other delicious ingredients. The crust was also not too big and was really good. The service is not very friendly though and the prices are relatively expensive. I would still strongly recommend.”

“We came here for my husbands birthday, we got their at 3:30 pm, since they close at 6 pm. I had the double stack burger, it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bread was so soft, the patties were tender and cooked médium well. It was so good. The fries were extra crisp and salty, I love fries, I would go back just for the fries! I also had an M3 I think that what the drink was called. Get it! My husband also bought two pizzas and a salad. Which were both yum♡ And of course you get a beautiful view. I would layer, if your planning to be their a while.Parking: Don't worry about parking, there is tons of it.”

“Modest neighborhood cafe with very tasty vegetarian food. I recommend the mushroom burger. It's really more of a mushroom sandwich on house baked buns that remind me of croissants.”

“Raving reviews online so expectations were extremely high. Oven roasted chicken was very good but portion was too much for two pax. Pretty much one chicken, some oysters and we are done. Nonetheless still a great restaurant”
“Service was speedy and polite. The staff was always eyeing the customers to be ready to tend to. There was nice music playing and the restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean too. Food: Onion bhajjia was delicious 10/10 Chili momo: 7/10 Kadai Paneer: 8/10 Tandoori naan: 9/10”

“Overall: A nice restaurant for a prefixe dinner.Would I come back: YesThe extended review… - Had a really nice three course meal that was delicious. A very nice blend of tastes that left me very satisfied. - Friendly and attentive staff. - A mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately I booked outdoor on cold day. So if you decide to do so be sure to layer up.”
“One of the best dumplings I've tried! The line on weekends lunch wasn't too bad, it was about 30min ish. Everything was just on point! I was shocked to see the XLB to be see through but yet it wouldn't break. My favorite was the mala spicy XLB, the soup was delicious with just a little bit of a kick of the numbing spicy flavor! The spicy red chili dumpling was filled with the nutty flavor of peanut with just a dap of chili oil for the fragrance. Hands down one of the best dumpling places that I wouldn't mind waiting in line for~”

Ju-Ni

Outerlands

AKIKOS
“18 piece dinner omakase was so dank. I would say the appetizers were better than the actual nigiri because they were more unique in flavor and texture. However, the fish was all around outstanding.”
“I get the hype - food is delicious. We had a galbi bibimbap and the braised beef rib / oxtail kalbijjim. So flavorful and meat very tender. We were 4 people and probably would have been full with just the large kalbijjim, as we had trouble finishing everything. Servers were really friendly and kept the banchan plentiful. Also, the kimchi was one of the better kimchi’s I’ve had. Great meal, I will be back!Parking: Large public parking lot across the street”
“There is a reason there's always a line outside...the ramen is phenomenal! Quick and attentive service, but it's a very small space and they leave the door open even when it's rainy and cold out. Definitely bring a jacket if it's chilly out. Good selection of imported beers and other drinks as well. Definitely recommend for any foodie.”

“My first time visiting and it was great. San Francisco so you're paying SF prices but the food was good, the atmosphere was great, and the drinks were tasty. I would go back”

La Ciccia

Sushi Hakko
“Love the omakase. The food is not just fresh/tasty, but VERY creative. Alex is very charming and it’s always fun to interact with him during the meal. Highly recommend the bar experience.”
“Canela is a fantastic go-to in the Castro. The service and ambiance are great. The food is consistently good and there is a great wine list. It's great for a friends night out.”

“Was a happening spot. Portions were quite large, soo full at the end.Did the kitchen cooks - which just means we try most things on the menu in “sample” size.”

“If there’s any complaints possible is that the Chef’s pick was too much food. The lamb Massaman curry was unbelievable. It is quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten. It was a fantastic meal with fantastic service. You cannot go wrong eating here.”
“ONE65 is a hidden gem. They offer something for everyone. We were 7, we ordered loads of small plates & 2 dinners. Just wanted to try it all. Nice surprises! Great cocktails! We'll be back!”
“This is one of my favorites in the Marina. Constantly very high quality food. I almost don’t want to review it because I don’t want it to get too crowded. They are very close to getting a Michelin star! Omg get the pavlova for desert. Their fish is amazing too.”

“Great omakase and a good value at $125 for the highest tier. I would definitely return for this. However I would NOT recommend the wine/sake pairing which costs an extra $90 -- completely overpriced and not worth it at all.”
63
Chao Pescao
“Super cute inside & great food! Chao Pescao was awesome, and big shoutout to the manager for making it extra special! She really went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Definitely coming back for more!”

Copas
There’s zero doubt I will return for a third time”
“So many amazing sounding pastas I couldn’t decide. Had to settle with 2 and I’ll definitely be back to get some more of them.Everything just tasted so good and unique. Sit at the chefs counter to see how it’s all done :)”

SAN HO WON
“Came here with a reservation and needed to wait about 5 minutes to get seated. I was sat at the bar in the back which could see into the open part of the kitchen which was fun to watch preparation and plating. I really enjoyed the pancake with mountain yam. I thought the lettuce/greens basket was fresh with good variety. Service was very friendly.”
“Impressive. Impressive agiotage. Very classy place with awesome history and rituals around every aspect of dining. Simple short menu, home made sauces, bread, fermented dressings. By the end of the meal you will be most likely full, but if you spare a bit for the desert - there are a few great items like: Creme Brûlée, tiramisu, Fantasy cake and strawberry shortcake. You have to book a table ~ 6 months in advance, but the trick is that if you book a table for more than 2 - you can get it much sooner.”
“If you want to eat cioppino in SF, this is the place. Garlic and spices combine with the flavor of seafood to create a rich flavor. The clam chowder and crab cakes are also delicious. You can't make reservations so you'll have to wait in line, but it's worth it. You can also take it home, so if you live nearby, you can take it out and make pasta with the leftover soup for a great deal and delicious?”
“My first visit to this new Kuma location. If you enjoy good sushi Kuma is the place to go in San Francisco. We go to Kuma every time I'm in San Francisco to see my daughter and I feel like the food and experience is better each time. I highly recommend the tuna collar. I've never had it anywhere else and it is awesome!”
“Every dish was delicious, original, flavorful, and memorable. Managed to not get over anchovies despite having it in almost every dish. Definitely recommend the gravlax, jerky, focaccia, and sundae. Duck schnitzel was good but not on par with the rest.”

JJamPPong
“The Korean jajamyeon is the best I've ever had, and that includes in Seoul. The sauce is so interesting: chunky with meat and lots of vegetables, and it's not at all too salty.”
“Treating myself to a Friday brunch and couldn’t have picked a better place! I was immediately greeted by a genuinely friendly waitress and there was plenty of seating to pick from. I’m always on the search for a good breakfast sandwich and theirs hit the spot - so good!! I actually really enjoyed the smaller portions because they were so flavorful, didn’t make me feel stuffed, and allowed me to try the doughnut plate too:) Will definitely be back for more!”

Rintaro
“Dinner here never disappoints. Everything we had was uniformly fantastic and I'm confident everything on the menu is equally good. Rich, flavorful, beautiful. One of my favorite restaurants.”
75
Pinsa Rossa
“Pinsa Rossa is absolutely amazing! Their appetizers, salads, and, of course, the pinsas with their crunchy, flavorful crusts are all top-notch. Ken and his team have done an incredible job creating a dining experience that’s simply outstanding!Dietary restrictions: My daughter, a brand new lactating mom who can’t consume lactose products, asked for a pinsa with vegan cheese, and we couldn’t tell the difference, it was great!Parking: There’s parking available half a block away from the place.”
“This spot is pretty great. Solid vibes, lots of high quality beer and wine, and their Sangria is delicious! I've been getting their Chicken Sliders lately which are bomb.”
“Got take out from here the other day. We ordered the huarrches and enchilades rojas. We like the huarrches because you don't see it on a lot of menu's. I liked how it had beans inside the masa and it came with a generous portion of carnitas. The enchilades were delicious too. Both were slightly pricy, but good food overall. Look forward to eating here in person soon.”
“The food, service, ambience, music...everything was FANTASTIC. What a wonderful place. We will definitely come back soon- a great place to bring out of town guests or celebrate a special event...or just have a really great date night. We had dinner here and then went to a comedy show at Speakeasy Brewery around the corner- so fun!”
“Food is great, but a little on the pricier side. Vibe / atmosphere is spot on. Most of the staff are well trained and pleasant but the host/ seating process feels inhospitable and overly optimized for efficiency as they will not seat tables even if the majority is there, ready to order, and knows that the table needs to be turned over for a second sitting, making it a bit dysfunctional for larger groups (things happen, sometimes a person will be late and the show must go on).”

Bodega SF
“Incredible food, everything on the menu was delicious and unique. I could eat the prawns all day and the crab fried rice was next level. My coworker ordered a little bit of everything and there wasn't a single thing that we had that I didn't love. I don't often give places 5 star reviews but this one is worth it, the only downside is maybe it's a little pricey but come here with a big group and split a bunch of plates and you will walk away full and for less than a fancy tasting menu. Also, apparently the $90 tasting menu is really good, so I'll be back again to try that :)”
82
Ox & Tiger
“Such an easy 5/5. One of the tastiest and most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in SF. The price is very reasonable for the experience you get. The chefs are incredibly kind and shared their stories about the food. I can’t wait to go back.”
“I do not give 5 stars lightly. Excellent calamari, sole, pork chop, fresh beans, perfect potatoes. Excellent service. Cute and lively environment. Highly recommend!”

“Stop reading and go have the Moto, it's epic. Rest of the pizzas are legit if not outstanding. Props to the Nutella dessert pizza, quite good as well. Nice vibe in this joint too. Well done, West Add, well done.”

Angler
“What a wonderful, though pricey, lunch! We splurged and enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The caviar, Krug Champagne, oysters, and so forth paraded before us over the course of three hours. Of particular note is the fabulous wine list and the very helpful sommelier. We enjoyed a delicious Puligny-Montrachet, 2019.”
“Very relaxing ambiance, very large restaurant. The stand outs for our experience was the Turkish coffee service and the Kataifi dessert, they were both amazing. The Branzino was simple and delicious. The Melizanosalata had too much dill.”
87
GOLA
“What a delightful, charming, and tasty oasis in the Mission. The food and drinks are thoughtful and packed with flavors, some familiar and soul-warming, others surprising and eye-opening. The space is just the right amount of decor that sets the perfect tone. Most importantly, the owner is so hands-on, a friendly and attentive host who truly cares about every single person who walks through his doors.”
“This is my go to sushi spot for eating solo. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the sushi is always on point. Highly recommend the featured rolls they update ”

“TL;DR: Worth the visit, unique flavor profiles and pairings! Exceptional service. I celebrated my anniversary here and they did not disappoint! As soon as we got seated, there was a note to acknowledge our anniversary and it was a warm welcome! As someone who is indecisive, I enjoyed the structure of the menu, first two dishes were included while you had options to choose from for the next three courses. We had complementary Japanese milk bread to start and it was probably the best bread I've ever had! The cultured butter and warm bread make such a cravable combo! The second dishes were light and refreshing! The cured hiramasa had the perfect touch of spice from the Fresno vinaigrette and the Asian pear cut through ever so slightly making it a delicate pairing with the fish. The beet tartare has good texture with the horseradish foam and crunch from the pine nuts. Second course, the celery root ravioli was different and had a light herbaceous note that made the dish not too heavy like other pasta dishes. We added the supplemental agnolotti and they did not skimp out in the truffles. We're not usually fans of truffle but it was not overpowering and complemented in flavor and texture. Third course, we had all three dishes! Seared black cod and the A5 wagyu melted in your mouth, we didn't even need the knife to cut through. The sauces in both dishes cut through the fattiness and paired well with the decadent taste of both the fish and meat. The Sakura pork had a good chew and smokiness from the breakfast sausage was unexpected but made for a desirable pairing. Fifth and final course, we opted to try both desserts! The profiles of both sweet dishes were different but worth the try. The spiced chocolate had subtle ginger notes while having a good crunch complemented by the meringue. Spring forward definitely gave the feeling of spring with light and airy flavors of nutty coconut and green herb granita! All in all, I'd revisit to try out the revolving menus, the chefs really put time and thought in the courses and left me intrigued for what's coming up next. Service was kind, informative, and attentive. Our waters were always filled, dishes bussed, and table was marked all at appropriate times. Thank you again 7 Adam's team!”
“The food was very good. And the restaurant wasn't busy, so we got seated right away. Our waitress was quick and friendly. The swamp water tea was delicious, if a little small for $6. Fried Okra was great. I enjoyed my Po' Boy sandwich, it was a bit messy, but the oysters were flavorful. My husband thought the ribs were perfectly cooked, and enjoyed his beans. The only real disappointment was the Sweet Potato Fries which were limp and soft. The outside seating made it so we could enjoy the pleasant afternoon weather.”
“Expensive but deff worth it!Staff is amazing, great vibe, fantastic food!Must get Ceasars Salad - prepared server-side per original Tijuana recipe! Ask waiter to explain the history of it”
“I grew up in a Chinese restaurant so my bar for any kind of Chinese food is very high. There are rarely ever any Chinese restaurants that I'd return to, never mind feel confident in bringing other people with me... this is one of those rare gems. Not only is the food fantastic, but the service has been really nice. I love this place and would recommend a visit to try any of their items. My favorites are the pan fried pork juicy bao, braised beef noodle soup, green beans, and pig ears. All of their recipes are super authentic.”

“There are not enough stars to describe the experience. The food was not only incredible but the presentation was beautiful. The service was magical from the hot towels to the goodie bag you go home with. The space is fabulous and I would go back in a heartbeat ?”

“Loved their Al pastor cauliflower tacos! They're delicious! Haven't seen this vegetarian option on menus. We also got the mushroom cheese dish to share. They give about 6 fresh tortillas with it. Great for sharing between 2-4 ppl. Great service. The decor and the vibe of the place totally goes with the menu. Came here for a friend's birthday. We were group of 10 ppl or so!”

“Wow. An incredible omakase experience! Had the 18-course dinner, sitting at the chefs counter and I could not be more impressed by the quality and creativity of the food presented! Each course was distinct, delicious, flavorful, and there was nothing “basic” or “common” that was served. My favorites were the chawan-mushi, otoro, uni on uni, Hokkaido scallop and uni, Kyoto-style pressed saba, kelp-cured flounder fin… and more!A few minor critiques: the wagu sukiyaki was tender and delicious, but tasted too sweet. The miso soup was overly salty. And the yuzu sorbet had nice flavor but was served hard like an ice cube.Would definitely return to dine again. Recommended.”

Frascati
“Myself and 3 coworkers were in town for a work conference and we decided to ensure we try local restaurants. Frascati was absolutely fabulous. The food was extremely delicious the atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant is right on the cable car route and that gave it an extra special touch. The service was fantastic. By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. Thank you Rebecca and Jon, if I make my way back to San Francisco I will definitely be back!”

“MIL's request for her birthday breakfast. 8am on a Saturday and it's a little less than half full so we got to choose our spot. Definitely where the locals go. Sometimes we walk over but with the rain, we drove in. We sat at a booth with a view of Bayshore Blvd below and San Bruno Mountain in the distance. Pretty straight forward diner breakfast fare, huge and satisfying portions, and friendly, efficient service. They make sure your coffee mug is full. My usual is the Bayside Omelette (yummy hot links inside) and vary the sides depending on my mood - today it was hash browns and sourdough toast. Eric gets the Country Fried Steak and Eggs more often than not and MIL likes the Denver Omelette. Leaving a little before 10am, most of the booths are full! There is a small parking lot adjacent to the cafe and when that is full, parking along Hester is the next option.”
“This is a San Francisco treasure! Easily accessible from Chinatown, FiDi, Rincon Hill, Embarcadero, and the Ferry Building, there is something for everyone here for breakfast or lunch.Prices are reasonable and the breakfast burrito was perfect. It was large, filling, and delicious. Service was warm and friendly and fun and personable. The decor inside gave me old-timey vibes. I will be back to try sandwiches or a bagel.”
“My hot matcha drink is made with Matcha powder that is organic and from Japan. The soy milk is organic too. Friendly service. The heat is on and kept cozy on a chilly day. I’m glad I stumbled upon this spot when in need of a little pick-me-up :)”
“Been living in SF my whole life, I always drive by this time place and just thought it was a corner store until I watched a TikTok video that featured them. The staff was friendly and best of all the super chicken and shrimp burrito I got was amaaaaazing. I give this place a 5/5. Can't wait to try something else from there...Oh and definitely get the chipotle sauce on whatever you get!!”
“A cozy Thai place with absolutely delicious food and fantastic service.Since the food is halal, we could try some dishes we normally don't get, and man were they good.If you're seeing this review, take it as a sign to try this place!Side note: How were the chicken wings so good?Dietary restrictions: Halal available”
“Having just arrived in the city, my friend and I were in search of a hefty meal -- fit for two starving children (we're adults). After some arduous googling and thorough research and broken ferry ride -- we arrived, up the stairs into the nook of this restaurant. We ordered the half and half broth, but admittedly wish we had just ordered the non-spicy broth as the spicy broth was just too much and too sour for our taste. But overall, we enjoyed our experience! The meat tasted well and as did the other fresh veggies we had ordered. But what surprisingly elevated this experience was the dessert and drinks. The best advice I can offer in regards to dessert is "Save the best for last." The sweet egg custard buns were an absolute delight. Especially when fresh, the warm custard just sweetly coats your tongue and leaves you satisfied with your meal. After hesitating as to whether or not I should order coconut juice, I finally committed and will admit it just may be one of the best decisions I've made in this lifetime. The coconut was as fresh as it comes, giving me a refreshing and vaguely sweet recovery from the warm broth. At the end of the night I found myself cleaning out its flesh because I found it a waste.”
“This has become our go-to cake for our birthdays, and we love it! The chocolate imperial cake is our favorite and it is a chocoholics dream. I never share it with anyone because it so darn tasty! It is pricier than a lot of other cake places, but well worth the money for a special occasion.”
“Great place for absolute fire ? ramen! It's a little hole in the wall slightly across from the Curran theater. You better get there on their downtime as they get pretty busy, and they tend to have a pretty long wait time as they make most of their menu items on the fly. I tried their takoyaki and kaarage for apps, and they're pretty fire ? as well! Lastly, I ordered their chasiu ramen with mild spicy tonkotsu broth. It's perfect for a cold day at the city. But since the city is pretty cold and windy on average, then this stuff is perfect every day! Can't wait to come back and try their other menu options. Highly recommended ?”
“During the pandemic, my significant other and I found solace in the vibrant flavors of San Francisco's take-away scene, with Voodoo Love shining as a culinary beacon. Recently, stepping into their Belden alleyway location felt like a dream realized, a small wish granted from our shelter-in-place days. The atmosphere was as delightful as their food, with the interior exuding a unique charm. Meeting Eva, the chef/magician/genius behind our favorite dishes, added a personal touch to our experience. Our Po-Boys, the shrimp for me and an extra spicy chicken for my partner, alongside their potent cocktails, were nothing short of magical. Enjoying this meal in Voodoo Love's enchanting setting felt like coming full circle, from pandemic patrons to in-person guests, cherishing each bite. This place, a cornerstone of joy then and now, deserves all the love and accolades. Thank you, Voodoo Love, for being a significant part of our journey.”
“Walked in to the quiet and unassuming location and left sated and with an overly full belly!I began with a spicy tako salad - a perfect mix of tako, cucumber, seawead and a sprig of mint. Enough spice to feel for a few minutes afterwards while my sushi was being prepared.First up was a trio of Salmon belly, Hamachi belly, and Toro. Each one was more delicated and delicious than the previous. Next were two great pieces of Ama Ebi with perfectly fried heads. The Sexy Roll followed - a mixture of Hamachi and avacado topped with more Hamachi, Green tobiko and jalapeno. My desert round was Mackerel, Scallop, and the Buddhilicous Roll. The service was exceptional and the value for what I paid was outstanding. My only negative was self-inflicted and that's because I only found this spot on my last free evening in town.I'll be back for sure...”
“My partner and friends been coming here since they opened. Claudio, Patrick and the whole staff are super friendly and welcoming. We always have a great time here, the alcohol selection is amazing. We also tried the food a handful of time and it's super yummy. They have the games on TV on game days, pool table in the back. This is just what this neighborhood needs.”

“Came in during restaurant week! I mean, there's not much to say-- places like this, especially FDC, operate at a high level. The quality of the meat, availability, selection are a delight. The ambiance is suiting for any occasion but, of course, leans more formal but still good for even popping in; you'll feel relaxed at at ease. The dark walls and details are quite soothing. My server, Maddie, on 4/10 was wonderful; her presence, attention to detail, and energy made the evening even more special.”
“A wonderful restaurant, you can comfortably wait at the bar until a table becomes available. Local oysters are worth trying, but they are small and different from European ones.”
“Outstanding service, amazing tea and awesome food. The place is beautiful as well. I'm so excited to know this is something in the city we live in so we can do this multiple times.”
“They have a seasonal menu with many vegan options. Visited with friends and we got vegan spring rolls, dumplings, and mushroom pasta. They were exceptionally good and worth the price. I didn't have the pizza as there was no vegan cheese replacement but heard it was good. The outdoor seating is very comfortable with heaters and curtains.”
“Really beautiful building and the service was fantastic. The menu could be a bit more diverse. The food is very limited. You can get a cauliflower steak for lunch or a chicken salad that is essentially butter lettuce and half a chicken breast. It all tastes great but it just isn't very interesting.”
“We just had a nice and quick dinner here. Cocktails and steak. Straight forward. Very decent place, tasty filet mignon, good mashed potatoes. Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. Even the cocktails were really nice. And we got a place without reservation. So all in all a very nice experience.”
“The manager Sonny Gibson blew us away with his amazing service when I came in to get lunch with my mother. He went above and beyond to check on us and make sure we were all taken care of and happy with what we ordered. Not often I write a review, but he had a great service. Will definitely be back.”
“Best peruvian food I've had. Everything was out of this world. The croquetas were different than I expected but better than I would imagine, best of the best. Food was worth every dollar. Service really set the example of professionalism and just the best.”
“We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. This place is located right by the Bay with beautiful view of the water and the Bay Bridge. Our server was great and very helpful during our whole dinner. She helped explain the dishes and all the accompaniments. The restaurant had a nice industrial look with a fireplace by our table. We ordered the filet mignon and my goodness it was delicious! My steak was cooked the way I wanted and it was very tender. They provided chimichuri sauce and their own steak sauce. Also they had different salts to add flavors to the meal. We had an assortment of side dishes to go with our meal and all of them were great. I would definitely come back here for any special events.”
“We like to come to Earl's before the Mirvish show. Certainly the brunch menu is very good. Eggs are a fair value. Prices, generally are a little high. (especially for a veggie burger). Staff are friendly and professional. Although the left side we go in, tables are bar height tables and not as comfortable; I prefer the right side at a comfortable booth table. The right side of Earl's where the lower tables are, was more convenient for those of us who are still trying to distance from crowds or crowded spaces for covid/RSV etc. reasons.”
“We had our wedding luncheon here and it was perfect. We rented the Billiards Room and it was intimate and quiet enough to where all our guests (10) could converse. The food was awesome- best burger I’ve ever had, seriously- and the service was spectacular. Also very reasonable pricing. I can’t recommend enough!!! Also- try the Banoffee Tart. So yummy!Dietary restrictions: Very attentive and knowledgeable with dietary restrictions- my mom is GF/ dairy free, and several of our guests had severe nut allergies.”
“Loved this place only came here for the dollar oysters but unfortunately they got rid of them and now are priced at $1.50 . Food here was great to try always loved the oysters so if money isn't an issue than spend that $36 on two dozen oysters. Once again sadden that the dollar oysters are off the menu and will now need to find a new place that has the dollar oyster gem. Service if you look like you can afford this place is good but if you don't look like you belong service is a bit slow. Loved the view from the outside seats.”
“This steakhouse was delicious. We tried a platter that had filet mignon (literally the best I ever had in my entire life), aged beef and lamb chop. It was also served with asparagus and au gratin potatoes. There were several servers making the rounds to make sure drinks and bread were topped off. All were friendly. You must be prepared to drop some serious money here if you come.”
“Excelente experiencia, cada platillo es una delicia, el servicio es el más amable. Pedimos una sopa, dos dumplings, arroz, curry, noodles, vegetales, unos tacos de pato y porque olvidaron un té y un platillo adicional de pato, nos regalaron dos postres, el matcha lava cake y un brownie. Cada uno de ellos estaba riquísimo, es un must en SF”
“We went for an early dinner yesterday, food was great and service by Shawn C was top notch. Sourdough rolls, butter, mussels in white wine, kids meals, Ciopinno, all delicious. The peach blossom cocktail was beautiful and yummy. Thank you for a great meal and excellent service!! We were seated next to a very loud group of six adults, and that was the only thing that wasnt great but thankfully they left shortly after we got our drinks ?”

“Opened my pizza boxes and was stunned at some of the most beautifully made pizza's i have ever seen my entire life. i would consider them a works of art - the fullness of all the ingredients, the way they were intentionally laid out, combined with all the color....and we could have a possible michelin star pizza. we ordered the butter chicken pizza and the combo pizza. the butter chicken was slight spicy but not too powerful. the dough had a crisp edge and bottom with an airy interior. so good. the combo had a fantastic amount of meat and veggies... and the crust was the just as amazing. run by a nice family who took our order over the phone. had it ready to go when we arrived. great service. thank you mr singh's for beautiful and very tasty pizza's~”
“My new favorite Indian restaurant in SF. Once we walked through the front door, we were immediately greeted by smiley employees. The dining area is cozy and intimate. I loved how each table has a vase with a single rose. Romantic touch. The food is sooo delicious! Portions are plentiful, and flavors are immaculate. Papadum (lentil crackers) and 3 dipping sauces is served as a complimentary appetizer. It's quite yummy. But you know that no Indian meal is complete without naan... and WOWOWOW the naan is GINORMOUS here. And butter chicken? Can't go wrong. So friggin good. This place is awesome. The customer service is also top notch. I'll be back again... and again :)”
“Great food, great staff, upscale yet casual feel. Everyone can feel welcomed here. We needed a last minute reservation for a group of 6 for brunch. Coffee cocktails excellent brunch food have high chair and changing table for babies as well. loved their take on all the European food. Really friendly and helpful staff.”
“3.5 stars - Excellent vibe and drinks. Service was friendly but slow. Food was just ok, and portions are small, so feels overpriced. Joodang is in the tenderloin, so inevitably, the area is a bit sketchy. This didn't stop us because I had been wanting to try this place since it opened! You just have to be careful and aware of your surroundings - nothing surprising if you're familiar with the TL. The exterior is quite unassuming. You could easily walk past it if you're not paying attention. The inside of the restaurant on the contrary is bright, modern, chic and clean. We had an early dinner reservation for 4 people on a Friday night and were cheerfully greeted and seated right away upon arrival. The restaurant quickly filled up, but I appreciated that the tables were comfortably spaced out and it didn't get too cluttered. They have Asian inspired cocktails. We each ordered a different one and they were all both aesthetic and delicious! We also ordered 2 bottles of soju to sip on throughout the meal. Loved how friendly and encouraging the staff was of us keeping the alcohol flowing! :-p Though the food was fine, I'd have to say the drinks were way more memorable than the food. Everything is meant to be shared, but be warned that the portions are quite small. We ordered: - Beef tartar: Tasted fresh, well balanced - Risotto: One of my favorite dishes of the meal. The portion was pretty small though. - Bulgogi tater tots: tbh can't remember what the official dish name was, but it was essentially loaded tots, topped with bulgogi. I enjoyed this dish and its flavors, but didn't find it to be particularly special. - Korean Fried Chicken: Portion size for this was extremely disappointing, as we just received a few wings on a plate. They were flavorful, but not worth ~$18. - Kim Chi Udon: Good flavors. I enjoyed the toppings too - Pork Belly Cheese Doboki - I will not be ordering this again next time. While it sounded promising, this was just way too pricey ($26) for a dish that lacked flavor. And unfortunately, the texture of the rice cake felt like it was microwaved from frozen. I really want to support Joodang still, and I hope they succeed. The staff was super friendly and nice. However, some of our food took a while to come out (which generally is fine), but we had to ask them to check on our order and also for the bill at least 2-3x. With that said, I really hope they can work out the kinks because they have a great concept and a lot of potential.”
“Luisa opened her second restaurant in the city, and it is a gem for the city. Her kind soul reflects on how carefully she runs the restaurant, how fresh her food is, and how perfect the wine is.”
“the food was so good! the staff was super friendly and the ambiance was also very nice inside the restaurant - very restful. This is a great spot for a casual meal. I got a dish with lamb and rice and I liked it!”
“The Halfway Club is a welcome addition to the Excelsior. While we were bummed when Broken Record closed we are thrilled for the Halfway Club!Came in on a Friday night as a group of 4 for drinks. We were originally planning to get the $13 cocktails but couldn't refuse the $23 pitcher of hazy IPA.... And then took the recommendation of the Mezcal Paloma which was refreshing with great flavor.Service was amazing with great recs, perfect balance of checking in and letting us hang, and sharing offerings. Also, great music at a volume where you can talk but still enjoy. If you live in the Excelsior or are in the area (e.g. soccer games in Crocker Amazon) you need to drop by and support this place. Will be coming to Tuesday trivia and Wednesday movie night ASAP and getting food (which we hear is great!)”
“Food was great! really enjoyed the atmosphere. I brought my mother here for dinner. We made reservations and no issues at all. The room has this rainforest vibe, love the butterflies on the walls. We ordered Lomo Saltado and the size of the dish is good. the meat, you can taste the leche de tigre to add the extra flavor. They don't have liquor license as of yet.”
“Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the food. I had the 2 papusas + chicken soup combo and I loved it all, especially that soup. Friendly attentive service, she even brought us a little bowl of corn alote on the house when we asked about it. So nice. Definitely recommend.”
“This is a local restaurant which provides outstanding service. The ambiance is simple but nice. For my meal, I ordered the chicken mole which was a generous portion and came with corn tortillas. The chicken was nice and juicy and the mole was good as well -- I personally like the flavors of the mole to be a little deeper, but that's just a personal preferences. The enchiladas were excellent as well.”
“Cute coffee shop on Geary! Convenient location right next to the bus stop. Great selection of coffees and tea. I got a decaf cappuccino with oat milk, and a tomato and olive pastry. Both came out quickly and I loved both. The people working there were also very friendly and efficient. The inside is bright and airy (beige/neutral aesthetic) and there's plenty of seating. Dog friendly too.”
“Fast, convenient, & generous portions! We sat upstairs and people watched while enjoying some General Tso's chicken & Spicy String Beans. Great place if you are looking for a quick bite to eat!”
“I think the square is very good. However, they do not protect their users from scammers, the way I feel they should. People are out here buying products, getting the completed products, and then asking for a refund and Square is giving it without even asking any questions.”
