“It may sound presumptuous, but thanks to Chris and the Mr. Hot Bunz crew, I've got a taco guy. I discovered Mr. Hot Bunz years ago when we were looking for someone to do Sonoran-style bacon-wrapped hot dogs for my son's birthday party in a local park and that initial experience was amazing. Since then I've had Chris and the Hot Bunz crew come out to my office to feed my colleagues street tacos and bacon-wrapped hot dogs to celebrate my 5-year and 10-year work anniversaries. I've referred numerous friends and colleagues to Chris whenever the need for a taco guy comes up. Chris is extremely easy to work with- I just tell him how many people I want to feed and what kind of items, meats, and sides I'd like and he texts back some pricing options. On the day of the event everything is taken care of. The Hot Bunz crew arrives with all the equipment, food, condiments, serving ware, and fixtures needed to feed large amounts of people- allowing me to relax and enjoy the food and festivities. If you're looking for a taco guy, Chris and the Mr. Hot Bunz crew is the guy you need.“

Los Tapatios lunch truck Mexican •

“This place was really good. The tacos have double tortilla and the condiments are laid out for you to prepare your tacos how you like. I gave it one less star because the salsa was too watery. The tacos alpastor were good but the mulitas were fire!!“

Oso's Tacos Mexican • $
3672 S Bristol St, Santa Ana

“Everyone I know has always raved about this place. I had to try it for myself. Shrimp Tacos are amazing. Serving size is about average. Not a real bargain price wise, but the quality of the food is top notch. I recommend ordering your food online and avoiding the line that's usually out the door.“

“Outstanding impression of how clean this place is for a taco stand. We were looking for food in the area and saw how close this taco stand was (in Westminister!) And new. Also such a benefit in that there is parking!! But no seating, and so popular. The grill is clean and the service is friendly. They refreshed the meats and toppings frequently, everything was freshly cooked despite being like 9ish? And the service was nice/welcoming despite not being Spanish speaking and generous with toppings. They take zelle/cash. The grill was so clean and the pastor you could tell was fresh. The food looks great.. We shared nachos. Another benefit to this stand is that they have an abundance of toppings and their red sauce salsa is super spicy. Everything tasted fresh and didn't make you feel greased/heavy. Nachos were a generous portion for only $10 with meat!! And another 2 with extra meat. The nacho cheese is your basics and plenty of toppings available, especially their grilled onion and jalapeño is spicy! (But no pickled jalapeño like American style lol). The reason I didn't do five stars, is because oddly enough I found the meat to lack flavor. It looked and felt amazing (not that fatty), but I think it was missing something in the marinade or some sort of seasoning/spices. Definitely needs a lot of lime to "awaken" the flavor. I'll probably go again to try the tacos. I suspect their tacos are where its at because of how nice quality and fresh everything is.“

OC Night Market Street Vendors • $
88 Fair Dr, Costa Mesa

“We have visited our fair share of night markets in Los Angeles and 626 seems to be the best. Not in terms of quality but quantity. They have the biggest venue and a few really good food spots. It is always fun to hang out and eat. My complaint here is the charge for parking, the charge for tickets and the the 20.00 price tag attached to most food items. Don't get me wrong, the experience is so much fun. I just can't say that the food is great. In fact, most of it is average to plain. A few place get 5 stars and we ultimately eat at the same spots every time we go. Blue Main Lobster is Def worth every dime. Lobster fries and Lobster rolls here are among the best in Los Angeles and for 18.00 to 20.00, well worth the cost. Lobsterdamus is good, not great. Very pricey though for street Lobster. The Bao bun scene is overwhelming here. I think every other stand is Bao or dumpling stand. In general, the variety is just lacking for the venue to be so big. But it is fun and you will find some good treats. Be prepared to spend at least 100.00 for 2 people and at least $150 to $200 for a group of four. $20.00 per dish, a drink or 2 and maybe some $20.00 icecream should sound about right. Have fun“
