“Wow. Throw away any idea of visiting other taco trucks in Bakersfield. Wife and I stopped for lunch. Carne asada .. fully loaded, onions, fresh guac, beans, and Cilantro.. outstanding!! The lovely ladies threw in free hot chocolate as well!“

“El Duran taco shop is one of the best taco shops in California. I was greeted when I first walked in by the friendly employee. It almost feels like walking into a family member's house. That's how friendly the staff is here . Now let's talk about the food. It was hot, fresh and most of all delicious . I will definitely be back to this wonderful taco shop. “Nice taco truck, plenty of seating available and conveniently next to a mini market where you can grab your favorite drink.They're super quick. We order for 5 people and it was ready in less than 15. They give you grilled onions and grilled chiles. We come here every other week.“

“I have only eaten in the restaurant once, and my experience was excellent. I had carnitas tostadas. Delish! I have had Carnitas burritos ordered from here several times. Their burritos are not filled with rice and beans. They are FILLED with meat! A LITTLE bit of rice. I make two meals out of one burrito. And, what is most important to me, is the QUALITY of the meat. These folks pick their meat like I do - fat, gristle, ect. belong in the garbage, not in my burrito! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! Clean meat eaters rejoice! Not once have I gotten a bite of fat or gristle in my burrito. I hope I never do! Keep up the good work!“

“Wow!! We stop by Buttonwillow off I5 all the time coming and going from LA to Sac, so we frequent all the food vendors.I’m glad we decided to try this one, the food is seriously authentic (hard to find)! Something as simple as a bean tostada was sooo good! Freshly fried tostada and authentic beans…yummy! I couldn’t wait to receive my order. And my order did not disappoint, salsa flavors and just everything was good!!!I recommend stopping by next time you are driving by. Nice menu selection. I can’t wait to try more next time I stop by. Aside from the good flavors, they have handmade tortillas!!! ?“

“My friend and I came in and ordered around 12:30pm. Server behind register was polite and helpful. I ordered the shrimp empanadas and side of rice and beans. You can order 3 or 6, I order the 3 empanadas. Oh Lordt Geezus. They had a perfect crispy shell and shrimp and cheese inside. The chipotle sauce was perfecto. Place was clean and roomy. $17 with a side of rice and beans that I didn't take a picture of.“

“Tasty food and friendly service, Tacos J Torres is a great place to stop on the long between LA and the bay. Everything was good, but definitely try the quesabirria taco. Don't forget to ask for some consomme to dip the quesabirria (or easier yet, just drink some with every bite).Note: some of the dishes can get pretty drippy/messy. Fortunately there's a starbucks next door to clean up and grab a coffee for the road. (Alternatively, order one of the more car-friendly menu items!)“
