“We decided to try take out from here for dinner tonight. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back.My husband and I both wanted garlic noodles and they were really good. He got them with shrimp and it was nice to see they had a lot of options: beef, chicken, veggies, tofu or plain. The portions were great too!The bulgogi fries were bomb too. Cheesy and flavorful with really nice grilled onions mixed in. I would definitely get these again.I was also impressed to see their big selection of boba teas and smoothies. I will definitely have to try those next time.A few year back this used to be the best little breakfast and lunch spot (Amy’s Cafe) and I was so sad when it closed. It’s nice to see that another good place is in there now at least.Vegetarian options: Looks like a lot of vegetarian options were availableParking: Free parking lot right in front. “As a Taiwanese person who grew up in boba land, I can tell you that the boba milk tea is pretty good. It's more towards milky end instead of rich tea flavor ones. Their original recipe is not too sweet so there's no point to adjust the sweetness. Or just ask the owner to make his favorite ratio. You should totally give it a try. (I cannot endorse other items as I just tried one product)“

“Came across this hidden gem while driving down from the valley!  Great quality and flavored drinks and one of the best Matcha latte with brûlée and oreos. An absolute game-changer! They use ceremonial grade matcha straight from Japan. The earthy matcha flavor combined with their cream brûlée made it an unforgettable experience.Not to mention their service and attentiveness is top-notch.“

“I really wanted to like this place more, but unfortunately there were a few things that brought them down to 4 stars. First thing first, the drinks. I like to get the regular milk tea from these places to really assess their quality and taste. If you can get the basics right, you're a step ahead! So, got their Brown Sugar milk tea with boba and it was okay. Nothing spectacular. I want to give them another try because they have some very interesting flavors and options in their menu such as the Hokkaido creamer milk substitute and the Oreo series blended drinks. I give them props for their ingredients as you can watch them make the drinks right in front of you and they made everything fresh to order, no premixed teas or powders. Their decor and theme is quirky and fun. You can tell they put an effort to make the place catch your attention and everything looked clean and organized. Prices are reasonable and within the market value for this type of stuff. The ding for me was the limited seating inside and the smell. It's not nasty like "I need to get the H-E-double-hockey-sticks outta here!" type of smell, but definitely a bit off. I tried to come back and try another drink when I was waiting for my tacos from the other place next to them, but that smell threw me off again. A little ding for not having any snacks at all. Not even like cookies or prepackaged Japanese treats or something. Anyway, that's my take on this place.“

“Absolutely humongous sizes! I always get the strawberry milk tea with no tea, so it's kind of like strawberry milk. It's very sweet, so I recommend asking for it less sweet. Their boba also always comes out super fresh,s o it is very warm at the bottom of your boba cup.“

I accidentally ordered the wrong boba, and the employee was kind enough to remake my drink with the one I wanted. Will definitely be coming back!“

“I used to frequent Bambu growing up and all the ones in my area closed. I saw this spot next to the restaurant I was having dinner at and knew I was going to be getting dessert from here. If I just hadn't had a pasta dinner, I would have ordered a Chewy Pandan but I knew that would be too filling so I opted for the Jelly Coco. The Jelly Coco is coconut water based instead of coconut milk so it's more refreshing and lighter. It fruits (coconut, lychee, longan) and fun pandan and basil seed bits. I enjoyed my drink and would definitely be returning to try the Chewy Pandan. Service was quick! We were there arounf 30 minutes before closing and although there were a few people who ordered ahead of us, we still got our drinks fairly quick. The inside has very few seating so I would'nt hangout there for too long.“

“Came here on a Sunday around 8pm no wait we ordered at the kiosk. Parking right in front. Phone number to text when order is ready however it wasn't accurate we still waited like 10 minutes after it said our order was ready. Service was ok no greeting and when we checked up on our order they didn't acknowledge us really. Ordered the and marble mango it was alright taste was artificial flavoring. The strawberry milk tea and plain milk teas was ok. The best was probably the mango smoothie. Boba was good. Overall, good for a one time try.“

“I tried the coffee milk tea 50% sweet, and it was the BEST coffee milk tea I've had. Even at 100% sweet I think it would still be a good amount of sweetness and not too overpowering. It was honestly really good and I would definitely get it a hundred more times.The one thing though is that they are a bit on the pricey side, almost $7 if you get it with a topping. That's definitely the upper limit I've seen, different places range from $4.50 - $7. But it seems worth it here.“

Thai Milk Tea with brûlée and boba- don’t be shy to be extra! Oreo Cookie Milk Tea with Boba- of course the automatic kids favorite! Sour Strawberry Jasmine with Lychee Jelly- balanced sweet and tart Fruit Tea amazing with the lychee jelly Mango Milk with crystal boba- takes me back to my childhood, the mango they use is familiarly the same as we had in the Philippines (the best kind!) Red and Purple Latte- our new favorite! Red bean and purple rice is one 7 Miles showcased childhood drink and we are obsessed!“

“Podong offers unique Korean drinks from injeolmi to Korean pear! I was immediately drawn to their retro interior and free Photo Booth inside. The decor is extremely well thought out and fits their concept perfectly. You can order on the tablet or with the cashier. Even though they have 4 tables with chairs, it feels more like a grab and go place. Large parking lot outside. As for the drinks: - soul Thai milk tea 5/5 - strawberry yakult 4/5 - - Korean pear 3/5 Note: the boba is on the sweeter side I'm really sad they discontinued their sweet rice drink! I hope they bring it back. It was my favorite!!“

“After bowling a couple games, I decided to stop in Cal Bowl Coffee Shop for a bite to eat. Went with something simple and healthy. A salad with the works. After placing my order (I was the only customer) I started wondering what was taking so long. Grab the salad out of the fridge and serve. Much to my surprise, the guy made the salad there on the spot. Fresh ingredients, including bacon, turkey, cheese, crisp fresh veggies and slices of egg! No pre-made salad sitting for days ... made there on the spot, and wow! Excellent. Seems everything is pretty much made this way. Definitely worth a short wait because the food and flavor is rewarding. AND my order was just a salad. LoL. Will be back to sample some of the special doughnuts and a cooked meal. Don't let the 'cafe' fool you, this is quality dinning.“

“I have been wanting to try Boba Bee for a while now, and I finally got around to it! I went on a Saturday night and it was not busy, I placed the order online and it was ready as soon as I got there. The inside is very nice and it seems like a place where you can hangout with some friends, I ended up getting the Ube Creme Brûlée drink and it was absolutely amazing! The Ube taste was amazing and the Creme brûlée was chunky which was a plus. I will definitely be coming back here! Love this place!“

“Cute little spot by the beach ?️. The drink I got was good. Prices are decent. Nice customer service. I like the aesthetic of this place, the photo wall is a cool touch. Summer vibes. This place is perfect for a quick bite and/or drink while strolling in Old Town Seal Beach or walking down the beach waters near by. I have yet to try the food here, but other reviews are saying it’s worth a shot. I look forward to coming back. Seating is not available here. Car parking in this area may be a bit difficult.“

“I had just landed from LAX and knew I wasn't going to survive the drive back home without food. I had heard about Bopomofo and had always wanted to try it, but never managed to make it out to the SGV. Luckily the Artesia location was on my drive home! Now I'm not a SoCal native but I'm able to distinguish an average boba spot from an above average one. I tried the guava matcha latte (Ba-La matcha) at 25% sweet and man it so tasty. They use ceremonial grade matcha which I think does make a difference (a little less bitter and more smooth). The boba was just *slightly* overcooked, but the drink itself was so good that I looked past it. What puts this boba spot above the rest, is the food. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp burger with a side of the veggie mapo tofu tots. Now I haven't been impressed by a meal from a fast-casual restaurant like this in so long. The patty was juicy and had big chunks of shrimp, but was still so light and crispy. The walnuts weren't in the patty, but rather a thin layer on top. I actually preferred this bc I'm not a huge fan of nuts, but I think it was a smart addition to add some texture variation. The sauce is a honey, wasabi, and yuzu mixture. I'm not usually a fan of wasabi but it's pretty understated and everything else was so well done, I didn't mind. It's all served on a toasted Kings Hawaiian bun which is already delicious on its own. Almost equally as impressive are the mapo tots. Tons of flavor, a decent amount of spice, and so much crunch! What more could you want in tater tots? I got the vegetarian version bc they typically have ground pork. I also saw that there's a vegan version. As with everything these days, their prices are kind of steep. My entire meal was $30+ tip, so be prepared to pay more than your average popcorn chicken and boba snack. But trust me, it's worth it. I know this place has a lot of hype bc of its connections to the AAPI Hollywood scene, but I think it deserves it if not for the food alone.“

“First time trying this spot after driving by the plaza so many times. The food is delicious and literally evoked a sense of comfort. The Yuzu slush was quite refreshing, my toddler loved it. Ahjumma is very sweet and told me more about the menu and catering. The ambiance has an old school vibe. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area.“

“Haven't been to a taste tea cafe in a long time Located in a parking lot - looks to be order to go only as the seating and entrance area is blocked off For the online order aspect only - easy to use site but I did notice somethings on their menu was not available online Also there is a .99 fee when placing the order online. The physical menu shows the item order actually cheaper than what is posted on their website. Order place for pork and bamboo meal - menu shows 15.99 and online shows 17.59... The owner did reach out to communicate when placing an order to either call in or simply order in person as it is a 3rd party site utilize to placing orders.. so an FYI For the food! (Also note when placing the order online pickup time will literally be close to the minute stated on order) Boba, teas, meals, and appetizer - large variety !!! Food was piping hot Well package Pork stew and bamboo shoot - tender, meaty, great ratio of meat and fat, fat was tender and not overwhelming Bamboo shoot crunchy goodness! Came with hot fluffy rice, broccoli, eggplant and garlicky potato side, and a dessert item? Easily shareable! Leftover yes or very sizable meal to consume! Will return! 2-3 chairs outside to sit. Appears to be very minimal folks working so just be patient as the gentleman see was making drinks, getting food prep, and handling orders. Thanks for the tasty treat to self!“

“LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! This place is very local to my area, yet the first time I went was a few days ago. Well, I did go previous times, but I never stopped to think about the environment and amazing service. The owners of this place are extremely nice and welcoming. I always walk in smiling because they shine from a far:)! I can tell they enjoy why they're doing, which makes the food even better. I always have my order ready "#6, no onion no pickles, mocha cappuccino small." It's one of the highlights of my day and my moon always brightens when I go here. There's lots of regulars too! I come here with my uncle and he also agrees that he loves the service and food of this place, it's also priced very well :).“

“Another stop in my California review trip, and I stumbled on this Chinese food spot, and what a treat!I had the 2 items half and half on the rice and chow mein, we tried the orange chicken and spicy orange chicken and an egg roll to try.Everything was on point, fresh and delicious. The orange chicken was one of my favorites of the many I've tried, and the spicy was good to but not as fresh as the newly brought out regular orange chicken but was still good and something you don't see often.Overall, I definitely recommend giving them a shot. Keep in mind there was only one table, so plan on getting it to go.At 10 dollars for the plate, I have 0 complaints and will return for more.“

“If you want quality tea, this is the place to come. We tried the Jinxuan oolong tea which I highly recommend if you want a taste of genuine Taiwanese tea while imagining you are strolling down the iconic night markets, sipping on fragrant oolong tea paired with the signature blend black tea jelly. I also had their Taiwanese milk tea with sesame jelly which will be my regular drink every time I visit. What I also enjoy about Hechalou is that I can drink this tea regularly and buy multiple drinks and store it in my fridge because I live quite far. The jelly is very tasty even the next day, unlike other tea places that focus primarily on boba. I frequent chi cha and orobae and this will definitely be my new go to! Yes, expect some lines. And yes, people will complain about the lines but it is 1000% worth the wait.“

The place appears clean and exudes the pleasant aroma of the various drinks being crafted on-site. The lady taking orders, who might possibly be the owner, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the experience all the more enjoyable. There is an extensive selection of drinks to choose from, and the option to customize sugar levels and toppings adds a personal touch to each order. One aspect that could use improvement is the slush consistency. On both of my visits, I noticed that the drink wasn't blended thoroughly enough, leaving chunks of ice behind. However, this didn't take away from the overall taste, as everything we ordered was delicious. Overall, I am eager to return to this cozy boba spot and explore more of their unique flavors.“
