“Delightful atmosphere. Service astoundingly top notch. Alwin was our server. Hes great. Two more staff members came out to greet us and check on us!!!! Food - so freaking good!!!! I’ve had Indian but this was more than expected (coming from a food critic and my mother a chef: had the Paingan Pakora ….was awesome. Truly a delightful change from bread batter! It’s chickpeas for the batter!! Slightly crispy on outside leaving the eggplant moist n perfect on the inside. The three sauces; one mint, one spicey and one sweet. Kashmiri chicken was a Juicey yet creamy n spicy tikka sauce; it complimented beautifully with the jeera byrani!!!! Naan - spinach naan ….good choice ! Gulab Jamun - sweet finale to the spicey Indian flavours …..you will be happy you tried Om Indian Cuisine as your restaurant choice for the day/night.Incredibly filling n reasonably priced!!!!!Christopher Moen and Deborah Moen“

“Mashaallah started out as a food truck but now has a stall in the food court of Westfield San Francisco. Despite its humble appearance, this small business offered some of the best Pakistani food I've had in the city from its steam table of freshly-prepared meat and vegetable curries. A star dish here (which came recommended by Soleil Ho) was the Lamb Korma, made of super tender, lean, meaty chunks of lamb in a spiced curry. On my combination plate, I also got the Chana Masala (chickpea curry) and the Palak Paneer (cheese cubes in a velvety puréed spinach sauce), served along with rice. Every item was delicately spiced and flavorful without being too salty, and the garnishes of raw onion and cilantro brought out the freshness of the dishes. On the side, I also had an order of Garlic Naan (another star item), which was perfectly soft and chewy and had a wonderful flavor and aroma from the garlic and herbs. Overall, the food here was absolutely delicious, and the owners were so friendly and hospitable too!“

“To me the biggest testament of great service is when you are the only client late at night (although it was 9 and their closing time is around 10-11) and they treat you with hospitality instead of contempt. Really grateful to the team and I can’t wait to come back. The food was incredibly delicious.Mango lassi 10/10. Saag paneer 10/10. Lamb curry was 10/10. Rice pudding 10/10. Chicken pakora was juicy 10/10.I think people should consider this place if they are trying to host a big party though because they do have a lot of space and the ambience is nice.“

“I've been coming to Himalayan cuisine since 2009. When it first tried their cheese naan with chicken korma and chicken tikka and yellow doll, I fell in love with the food, the customer service, the atmosphere, the stop, and the owner. I wish felt so taking care of and so valued whenever I would come in. So I kept coming back and then two years ago I moved to Portland and there was not one Indian or Himalayan restaurant that had as great food as Himalayan cuisine in SF. In If you I want the best of the best. Come here for dinner and bring your friends ;)Vegetarian options: The food is so good. You can't even tell that it's just vegetarian food. ;)“

“Placing the order online was quick and easy, picking up was fast as well. The food was fresh and hot still by the time I got back to my office. I ordered a medium Tandoori chicken and it was delicious! Second time trying this place, so glad they opened up in the neighborhood.“

“Noe Indian Cuisine is top notch in every way! We stopped here for our lunch during our bachelorette weekend with six of us, and we were in a hurry to get to our next activity. They took our orders right away, brought the drinks and food quickly, and all of it tasted incredibly delicious, hot, and fresh. Not only that, but they brought all the boxes we needed too. Honestly, this is the best and speediest service I have ever seen at a sit down restaurant. If I'm ever back in San Francisco, I will be coming back!“

“This is my second or third time here. I decided to go off the beach and path and try a non-dosa or non uttapam dish. I am glad I did because the biryani was excellent as was the chili chicken appetizer. Even the naan was good, it was thinner almost like a parota but yummy. The flavors really reminded me of eating in South India. And Andhra food has always been of interest and I'm so glad we have this restaurant here. Used to have to go to South Bay for the best Indian food but this place proves that to be wrong!“

“extremely bad tasting food and bizzare combinations....miffed at kichadi like biryani with no flavour and being served with aam ka achar....god knows how this restaurant got Michelin star rating ....Shame on the chefs and the owners for ripping off the customers with overpricing of the food for poor service, absence of any ambience or decor“

“Best Indian fusion place in the area! A little sketchy to go at night but just don't walk around the area too much! Pani puri: SO GOOD, I've never had pani that tasted this good that wasn't in India. It was stuffed with the potato and Chana and it was spicey and just everything I wanted. We also tried the green pizza with chicken and the sauce was actually spicy. It had great flavor and one pizza was plenty for the 4 of us with an appetizer and another dish. Chicken“

“I first ate here in April of 2023. On that day they received a five-star review. Almost 1 year later, it's even better the second time. The Paneer Tikka Masala is the best I've ever had. It is seasoned to perfection. I order it mild but there is still a tiny tinge of spiciness just for flavor. The garlic cheese naan could not be more fresh. It too is cooked and seasoned to perfection.Service is outstanding. The restaurant is immaculately clean.Castro Indian Restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best, Indian restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area.“

“Tara is the best North Indian in San Francisco for its price point of ~$15 per entree. The level of effort and attention to detail represents exceptional value. Case in point, the tamarind sauce (provided with the mint chutney and chili sauce for the papadum) is mixed with subtle spices to cut the tartness, has a consistency that clings perfectly to the papadum, neither too thick nor too watery). Their curries all have distinct character, with specialty spice blends. Their meats are all good cuts and tenderly stewed. And their naans flavorful and freshly baked. You will not be disappointed if you dine in the restaurant, in fact, food prepared with this much care deserves to be enjoyed fresh.“

“Had an amazing experience here!First of all it’s a gorgeous space, extremely intentional, airy, unique and feels like you are in another world. The sequence of the meals were perfectly spaced out and someone came to explain/introduce each dish.Highlights:-the cauliflower curry was tangy, filling, complex and beautifully presented. Amazing.-the Lamb Shoulder might have been the star. Extremely rich but not overwhelming. Spicy but balanced. Paired so incredibly well with the glazed sweet flatbread that came with it, that combo of rich savory and sweet was amazing, ended up using the glazed flatbread as a utensil Injera style.-the crystalized coconut crystals with chia and mango was such a unique dish. Crunchy yet soft, tart but coconut creamy. Pairs perfectly with the chai.-the fried chicken, a dryness to it but the dryness almost really worked especially with the lime flavors involved.-clarified Mango lassi drink, clear and fresh but all the flavors of a boozy mango lassi still present. Yum, curious how they clarified it.Everything else was delicious but these had me moved, will definitely return.“

“Great little hole in the wall for Indian food in the south side of San Francisco.Pros: Great parking space, very favorable, lots of different options, able to walk after lunch in the outlet area, clean place and restaurant, rice was included was entrees, and chai tea was great.Con: only con was that both chicken entrees seemed small as we only eat out once per week for our "cheat meal" I was hoping for more chicken to hit my protein intake. However the taste was amazing.Parking: Huge parking space in the outlet which includes other businesses.“

“I had an amazing time at this restaurant for iftaar/dinner! Our favorites were the chicken tikka masala with Naan (they have the finest Naans!) and the beef/chicken seekh kababs. The cleanliness was excellent, which was a major benefit.I'll be recommending my friends and family about this place without a doubt! Our entire experience was made better by the owner's warm welcome and her kids. We had a great time eating at a Pakistani/Indian restaurant back home because of the atmosphere!“

“Aslam's is my absolute favorite Indian/Pakistani food in the Bay Area! Huge fan of their chicken madras and saag paneer. The naan is always perfectly toasty and I'd recommend a mango lassi to accompany it all. The quantities are satisfying and we often end up taking a whole extra meal's worth home in a to go box. On top of the excellent food, the service is phenomenal. It's the type of warm, friendly, family-owned business that makes SF feel like home. They've been a low-key institution on Valencia st. for at least as long as I've ben here, and quickly became a go-to. If you want to impress someone by taking them to that 'sleeper spot' with incredible food, take 'em to Alsam's!“

“This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots! My roommate and I would die for the Tilak sweatshirts that they have. This is a reasonably priced, delicious, and fast service place! The place is homey and the food is delicious. The servings are always mountains of rice. My personal favorite is the puri chaat. I could eat all 5 in one sitting myself. I even get them to go and they package it up so it doesn't get soggy. It's perfect for a date or get together with friends. I cannot recommend it enough!!“

“This restaurant serves Indian and Pakistani food. Its just a classic restaurant. The food is so amazing, super authentic to me, one of my favorite dish is beef nahari, a slow cooked chunk of beef in a spicy delicious sauce, if you never had it it’s a must try! service is great the guys there are so helpful:) 4star for what it is, it could use some TLC but with that kind of yummy food who cares ?Vegetarian options: Indian food there’s so much vegetarian optionsParking: Mission district so you know parking will be difficult but not impossibleKid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed.“

“We stopped there on our way to catch our flight at SF airport. We were short on time and we placed our order. Our server was fantastic helping us to order and we were served our dinner promptly. There was a feeling that all the staff worked together as a team, looking after all the tables not just their own station. That is a sign of true teamwork. We really enjoyed our dinner there. Food and service~ EXCELLENT!“

“The ambience is not great but the food and service totally make up for it. The dosas are fresh and very good. We asked for the masala on the side and they were great about it. We also enjoyed lamb, naan, biryani, and chicken tikka masala. All were delicious! Some of us had the chai and some had lassi and we all enjoyed the drinks. The portions were quite good I thought. Definitely worth trying if you are nearby and like Indian food.“

“I had their lamb roganjosh, aloo Gobi, and chicken chettinand. People might say Pakwan is the place to go for good Indian food in the city, but I was thoroughly impressed with what I ate at Keeva. This is not watered down gringofied Indian food. Absolutely loved the lamb roganjosh, the cauliflower and potatoes were very well spiced, and while I personally didn't like the chettinand, I understand the flavor profile and what that dish is. You're missing out on really delicious Indian food if you're not eating here.“

“This was genuinely the absolute BEST indian food i have EVER eaten! Seriously. I do not like spicy food at all and have found that often Indian food is either spicy or lacks any flavor. This food was so damn flavorful! On top of the food being unbelievably delicious, the prices are wildly affordable! 10/10, highly recommend this place!“

“Came here for a birthday celebration and we ordered four dishes - all of which were an interesting fusion. I only wish there was a tasting menu as there are so many dishes in the menu we felt overwhelmed and weren't sure what to order - it was actually stressing us out. I'd definitely come back to try more dishes in the future.“

“Start with this fact that this place has changed name, so don't look for Bon AppeTikka.Given the number of Indian nationals eating here and the huge amount of take out deliveries occurring, there's solid demand for this shopThe meal (3 main courses) was fine as far as it goes. My problem was that there was nothing about the food that makes me go "wow!!". It's nice food, it's freshly prepared but it's just nice. There's no va va va wow there“

“Came for Mother's Day dinner. I don't eat Indian food often but this was very good. This place is clean, many tables available, a bar is in the front of the restaurant. Considering it was Mother's Day, it was not busy? We ordered Calamari Pakora, Coconut Vegetable Curry, Bhindi Masala, Lamb Shank, Butter Chicken Masala, Chicken Bharta, Assorted Naan Bread, and Basmati Rice. All dishes are offered milk, medium or hot. We ordered all our dishes medium. Although the dishes sort of all looked the same, the sauces were all different in taste. They were all very delicious. Sugandh has great service, attentive wait staff, and nice atmosphere. We enjoyed all the dishes. The Calamari appetizer dish was okay but very small (maybe 8 pieces of calamari) for the price; that was maybe my only disappointed dish (didn't get a picture of this)!“
