“I don’t fully get this place. They only have burgers (no fries or shakes), the service is very slow (waited 10 minutes to order, 30 min for 1 burger and 1 soda). Cash only. And they’re located in a bank’s parking lot that you technically can’t park in (tho no one stopped me). That said, the burgers are truly great. In-and-Out style arrangement, but the patties have much more flavor, closer to the steak-y texture of Shake Shack.I do miss getting a side of fries tho, so don’t be scared to order two burgers or a triple if you’re hungry.“

“I've lived in Mexico but had never had this in my life. Unfortunately. This is a flavor bomb! All the ingredients are super fresh and good quality. I had the Cecina asada the first time and the marinated Cecina the second. Both are very good, but maybe the Cecina was better. I like the jalapeños better than the chipotle sauce, it breaks the grease of the food. You cannot dine there, you pick up your order through a small window. Make sure you get the string cheese. It costs 2 additional dollars but makes all the difference.“

“Been a few years since we've been here and they've modernize the place. Menu got an update as well. I got #1-pho special and my husband got #4 also pho ? still delicious, we both almost emptied the huge bowl but the broth towards the end felt too salty, still as good as I remembered it and price is somewhat affordable compared to other places6 years ago:Love their pho, my husband love their #51. Portions are big for the pho and I'm always full, satisfied and happy after consuming the big bowl of noodles and broth.Very occasionally I order the porridge with ofalls and deep fried bread - just hit the spot for me. Prices are still affordable even though they've raised a little. Everyone that I brought to this place enjoys their food. It's a very simple restaurant, nothing fancy and get very crowded during meal times.“

“This truck is always a delight to see in the playa Vista area. There is something really enjoyable about getting a plate of lasagna, a tiramisu and going to sit at the park with the little ones for a nice evening. The owners and operators are super friendly and helpful. If you see this red truck around your neighborhood, I would suggest stopping in and giving it a try.“

“Visiting from WI, randomly chose Mr Pizza and I was blown away! The guys in charge seem to really care about the food they send out. Not much of a dining room, I would recommend just doing carry out. That being said the ingredients and overall taste were FANTASTIC, one of the top 5 pizzas I’ve ever eaten! If you’re in Van Nuys give these guys a shot!“

“Everyone should try Baked It Myself. I tried their beet burger ordering on doordash a couple weeks ago, and it was incredible. I can't stop ordering their bim bowl, and they always listen to my modifications which showcases their incredible customer service. Nonetheless, the food here is high quality, affordable and delicious, making this an incredible restaurant to consider in your weekly rotation.“

“This is a great family-run sushi spot. The sushi was good. We order 3 full rolls and we ate every bite. We could've eaten a lot more. The prices and service are good. There are only two things that could've been better: the ambiance and the wait time for receiving are order. Other than that, we were satisfied. I would definitely eat here again.“

“Whenever I'm craving for pastrami, DeFranko's is the best choice in Van Nuys. The meat is not dry, steamed bun is soft, they don't skimp on pickles or onions. It's a very small place that can seat about four inside the store. Seating at the back. I am craving as I write this.Parking: They have parking on the street as well as the back.“

“Grade A (96): Food was excellent, Had 4 different type Kebabs and they were all amazing. The Antakly Bread was the best I've had, (Awesome and rich with veggies and Pepper paste). Krdiyeh (Cheese, Tomato & Jalapeño inside a toasted bread. Tabbouleh was very good with the right amount of lemon juice. Hummus & Babaghannouj were very good, but we had to order another Hummus because the quantity is a bit thin. Price per person can be anywhere from $20 to $50 depending on how much you want to eat, but I think $25 is a port good standard portion.Vegetarian options: Middle Eastern food has a lot of vegetarian options like Tabbouleh, Fattoush, Hummus, Mutabbal, Falafel, fries, Krdiyeh Cheese beureg etc.Parking: There was parking when we went.“

“Tried this lunch spot today based off Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. Quiet, clean, and the food was delicious. The owner, Lusy, was there and brought us a sample of their leek soup before bringing our order out. It was fantastic. We took some to go after finishing our meal. Highly recommend you seek out this hidden gem. My only complaint... parking is a little tough.“

“Came by while my car was being serviced, and I'm SO glad I did.The food is amazing. Everything handmade. Not a heat lamp in the place. The chef is an artist. If you stand at the counter, you can watch him work, and it's obvious how much he cares about every detail. This is not fast food. Fresh ingredients, handmade while you wait.Available for delivery, too.“

“Jo & Go is one of the best kept secrets for fast, affordable sushi in the Valley. It's located inside the Korean market Greenland. Nothing fancy, take-out only. The sushi rolls are big, and the bowls even more so. I recommend the salmon bowl if you just want salmon sashimi over rice. You get a lot of salmon. If I want something lighter, I get the hwedupbap bowl, which is essentially a sashimi salad. It comes with a side of white rice, gochuchang sauce, and miso soup. For rolls, I like the Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll. This is the perfect place to pick up lunch or dinner on your way home. Call ahead to place your order, and food is ready in 10-15min. Cash/credit card accepted. The place is run by a very friendly Korean couple. I just wish they were open later (they close at 7:30pm).“

“By far the BEST Pizza in the Valley - if not all of California. Haven't tasted anything that even resembles a "REAL NY PIZZA" in LA till NOW! Combine the quality of the pizza with the value, and toss in the quick, attentive service and top it all off with a very friendly team of seasoned pros and there you have it, #TheRoyalPizza fit for a King (Or in this case a couple of Queens! This is Los Angeles, after all!) #TheBestOfLA #Love“

“Pao's Pastries was my first time having Bolivian food. Bolivian food is very hard to find in Los Angeles, and I believe Pao's Pastries is the only existing establishment that serves it. Their specialties here are the pastries, most specifically the saltenas, but they do have quite a menu of other stuff. Along with the chicken saltena, I also got the sopa de mani (creamy chicken soup), the silpancho (thin breaded steak) and relleno papa (potato ball). All of it was great. It's very similar tasting to Central American food. What I especially liked is the large portions of the food. Even the saltena was huge, bigger than any empanada I've had in other countries. If you want to try all your basic Bolivian foods, then this is the place to go. Everything tastes fresh, and from what I researched, it's pretty authentic. It's a taste of Bolivia in Van Nuys. Even their ice coffees here are pretty amazing. The only downside is street parking, but other than that, come here to enjoy the amazing food. I shot a Youtube video of my experience at Pao's Pastries, which you can find on my channel, Rockstar Eater.“
“Despite the construction, service and food was on point. Best part was the Pandan Crepe Cake for dessert. Reasonable lunch special price of $7.99. You leave satisfied and full. We'll be back!“

“We stumbled upon Guidos one night and won’t go anywhere else!! In this day and age where it seems you need to take out a loan for take out, Guidos is DEFINITELY NOT expensive at all!! It is delicious and they have never gotten our order wrong! We recently tried the garlic bread with cheese and OH MAN! The cheese is stringy like it should be and the garlic part of the bread is heavenly! And they don’t make you wait an hour for your order. Next time you’re thinking about pizza for dinner, skip the chains and try Guidos! You won’t be disappointed!“

“Now this place really hit it out of the park! The food was amazing the kebab, hummus, and tabouli were on point! The owner is a sweet heart! if you're in the Glendale area they also have a location there as well and they're both equally as good as each other. The owner runs them very well and I really enjoy the food. It's actually very well priced and it's a good deal for the money I love the place and you will like it as well. I highly recommend it“

“I've dined at many of our Korean Restaurants in Los Angeles and Korea too, and I certainly love this small place. Of course their Galbi is the centerpiece of their menu but every dish is unique and resembles what I had in Seoul. The dishes are perfectly measured while the banchan is adequately similar to those in other similar restaurants. What separates Greenland is the nuances that make their dish a little uniquely from the Korean palate. The ambience is simple, but if you look around especially during their busy time, you see a mixture of Koreans and a spectrum of people packing this place. So, if you're starving for some Korean, come to Greenland and taste the dishes that makes them uniquely Korean.“

“I dont know what these other people are reviewing but these tortas are fire lol my gf put me on. Take out only which is great because the parking lot is small and theres always spot since people pick up and go. If you place your order at the window orders usually take 5-10mins. The wait is worth it. Had the #4 and #6 and a order of chalupas. All amazing, the Chipotle spread is very spicy so if you like them mild get the pickled jalapeños. Second time here, will be back.“
