“The menu, which is limited, looked good with a section of standards that do not change and, another with more seasonal offerings. We had a nice Burgundy wine that was a fair value, a Caesar which was pretty good and deviled eggs which were unremarkable and a bit salty. My wife had the salmon which was lovely, cooked just right and served with lentils and I had the Chicken Cordon Blue which was stacked on top of mashed potatoes and carrots and green beans. I'm not much for a pile of food like that and the chicken was “good” but not more. Our server and the ambience great although it got a bit loud. We don't mind paying for great food but this was overpriced for the food. We probably won't go back but haven't closed the door.”

“Went for our 30th wedding anniversary. Whole experience was fabulous from start to finish. The house special steak was incredible. Wait staff and the owner made multiple passes to make sure we had everything we needed. Great experience!!”

“The food was amazing and the staff was great. Don't let the atmosphere rating fool you. This stop is small and has limited seating but so worth the stop. I can only imagine what sort of business they do in the summer months. Only thing I regret is not stopping to try them out sooner! If you're in town this is definitely worth a stop.”

“First time at The Federal, and it was hands down the best dining experience I’ve had in the Delmarva area. The food, people, and overall ambiance was phenomenal and I will now recommend this restaurant as my go to when I have visitors.The truffled Mac and cheese was “light” and had tons of flavor, and the little crust of breadcrumbs on top elevate it further. The hanger steak was cooked to the perfect medium rare and had a balance of flavor that didn’t take away from the quality of the meat being the first thing I noticed when I ate each and every bite.Owners Ellen (and Todd) were active in the kitchen and the bar, and still made time to check in to make sure everything was great. Loved their story and how they came to bringing their fritters idea to life, which are genius and after trying a free sampling of the apple fritters, a perfect treat on a beach day!I look forward to when I can return and try even more of their delicious creations!”

“Did our weekly date night here on a Friday night. We did the Friday night special for $32/person. It was a 3 course seafood dinner. It was excellent and worth every penny. I had course 1 - A seafood chowder. Course 2 - Seared scallops in a very light mushroom sauce. Course 3 - Large stuffed shrimp with crab meat.”

“Every time we are in Rehoboth, we stop here. They have a wonderful happy hour, which is just a bonus. We love to get a lobster and enjoy all of their food. The decor is beautiful and the service is always great!Parking: Paid parking along the street, but we have never had a difficult time finding any.”

“Ava's Detroit style pizza!! I had the plain cheese to set a baseline, and the baseline is well above average (closer to perfect). The crust, the sauce, the cheese! Maybe I'm biased cuz I like pizza, and who doesn't. If you want an upscale dining experience but are still in the mood for that heaven on a rectangle piece of dough(that's how they're Detroit Pizza is), definitely give them a try.”

“We had a wonderful dinner here just after it re-opened with new owners. The food and cocktails are amazing. We loved that they have half portions of many dishes which made sharing and trying multiple dishes fun and easy. Atmosphere is great- we love the changes in decor especially the new comfy chairs. Ben always makes the best cocktails in town and everything we had was delightful. Highly recommend for a delicious dinner out or special occasion. Can't wait to come back for the patio!”

“Lovely Craftsman house for dining and a modern bar that features live entertainment and events. The staff is attentive, unobtrusive and makes excellent suggestions every time we go. Kudos.Both the seafood and the steaks are delicious. I spoke with a customer who raved about the lamb chops and duck, and gladly drives a half an hour for it. There is a satisfying wine and cocktail list. Love the GG vodka pear martini. Give yourself extra time for parking, which is always a challenge when you are this close to the beach.”

“We've walked by a million times over the years, and finally decided to check it out on a recent Saturday night - definitely glad we did! There was a brief wait for a table as we didn't have a reservation, but we sat at the bar and had a cocktail, and were seated right quicker than the time they had quoted us. Our server was lovely, and the meal was fantastic. The garlic bread, meatballs, and pasta fagioli were awesome, to start off with. Both our pasta dishes were beautiful, and we enjoyed dessert as well. It was a great time, and we are excited to go back.”

Duck seemed a little dry ish. It was dumpling night, so had a few of those too. Seemed sticky with fried edges and inside wasn't all that flavorful. Nice for Rehoboth to have another Asian restaurant, but don't know that we'd go back...”

“We visited this location for lunch while on vacation. It was a pretty nice option. Not busy during the week day. It looks like they had a great selection of drinks on tap. We didn't partake, so can't speak to the quality. We had a crab soup that was very good, and was gone in a flash. The fried rice was really pretty good, and had good portion of shrimp. The Cuban was ok. The highlight was our family signing up to play the trivia game they had on the displays. It was fun, and made the experience all the better.”

“Disregard any negative reviews from patrons, this restaurant is a complete experience from the unique Russian martini menu to the authentic Russian entrees. I dine here monthly and enjoy every visit. This is not a place to just stop in and have a shot or beer; take your business down the street to any sport bar for that. This is where you come for martinis, caviar, vodka flights, borscht, salmon, dinner, and Russian desserts. Plan on a 2 hour experience while Victoria shares stories of her childhood, family recipes and her Russian artwork and dishes.”

“It's extremely rare that I eat at the same restaurant twice while traveling, but on a recent trip to Rehobeth Beach, just couldn't stop myself from lunching here twice. A few blocks from the beach, Henlopen City Oyster House seems to avoid the crowd and tourist trap of some of the other eateries in the area and provide elevated seafood and incredible service in an upscale dining room. Focusing on really fresh ingredients and homemade almost everything, I needed the bartender to help guide me in what to pick my first visit: there were just too many incredible options to choose from. Crowd favorites seem to be the salads (particularly the Caesar which comes with a whole anchovy on top!), the clam chowder, the old bay shrimp, and the lobster roll. I was in town for a wedding where I knew we would be having clams, raw oysters, and lobster at the reception, so on both visits, opted for things I wouldn't get at the wedding or in the landlocked state I live. I landed on the fried clam strips, the super fresh and incredible Caesar salad, grilled oysters (topped with Johnsons bays, sumac butter, just insanity), and the crème de la creme: the light fried scallops dish. I could write sonnets about that fried scallops dish. My neighbor at the bar ordered it on my first visit and found it so amazing, he insisted on letting me try it, and oh jeezus this dish is a love letter to the seafood gods. Ordered a full plate to myself on my second visit and it is genuinely one of the most perfect things I have ever eaten: lightly fried scallops and fried slices of lemon, sea urchin aioli, sea beans. No notes, just perfection. The Caesar salad was so satisfyingly umami, crunchy, perfectly lightly dressed. The grilled oysters had the most heavenly sumac butter, herby taste. A total win of a casual lunch, made even better with an excellent wine menu for pairing with seafood (the skin contact orange and alberino were unreal and very reasonably priced!) For dessert, I got the key lime pie which was completely homemade, huge (required saving leftovers for a late night snack) and just the *chef's kiss* way to end my meal. Took a nap after each lunch here and had my friends at the wedding asking about this place, I raved about it so much. This restaurant will forever live in my mind as the Meals You Dream About from Vacation.”

“We originally drove to the Big Fish Grill located in Ocean View. When we arrived ours was the only car in the parking lot! Closed. So, we drove up to BFG in Rehoboth. We had the Fried Oysters and a Fried Cod sandwich. Both were excellent. She had an Orange Crush (Vodka, Triple Sec, Orange Juice & a splash of Sprite. Delicious.”

“This place caught (no pun intended) our eye as we were headed to Thrashers at Rehoboth Beach. I LOVE fish and chips, so we decided to give it a shot. The cozy interior has a variety of signs and such with a clear British theme. The music is an homage to British music. It was quaint and comfortable. Due to it being the off-season, there was plenty of seating. We perused the menu for a moment and decided to sample a few items to get a feel for the freshly made items. According to our server, Mo, everything is freshly prepared, freshly battered, and, where appropriate, fried. We ordered the shrimp sampler which included a cornucopia of fried and stuffed shrimp. It was delicious. The stuffed shrimp had the perfect amount of crab. The coconut shrimp had a wonderful coconut flavor. It wasn't too overpowering. We also sampled the freshly made onion rings. They were amazing. They were very crunchy, slightly sweet, and slightly salty. The star of the show was the fish and chips. The filets were perfectly battered and crunchy. The fish was flaky and tender. I tried some with the malt vinegar, and it was tart and crunchy. I also tried some with their tartar sauce, and it was also delightful. We saved some room for the battered and fried cheesecake. Wow. It was piping hot, so we had to let it vent for a moment, but afterward...incredible. There was a smattering of powdered sugar, a drizzle of raspberry sauce and a few dollops of whipped cream. It was decadent. There were some additional British items that I'd love to go back and try, like the bangers and mash, shepherd's pie, and the sticky toffee pudding. The prices were around what you'd expect for the location and well worth the value. We'll definitely be back.”

Needed a lil more seasoning in the chicken salad but overall yummy sandwich and I'd order just chicken salad from here anyway. What brought my rating down was the chefs salad I got. Maybe it's just me but the ice berg lettuce screwed it up. More meat would've been better. The turkey wasn't good but the ham was. Idk... I threw out most of it.But anyways, it seems like a nice place to eat. I saw lots of older folks there and seems very family friendly.They offer homemade pasta, sauce, hots and other things for retail sale apart from the menu.”

“We love a good burger, these are some of the best we've ever had! My wife rarely eats many of her fries and I usually finish hers off. Not at Hammy's, she finishes them off herself! The seasoning is perfect and the fries are always done just right, not alway the case for freshly hand cut fries. The burgers are perfect for a good appetite, great flavor and fresh toppings. The cheese is delicious as well, the cheddar had a nice sharpness to it. The rolls are delicious, the only thing is suggest is grilling the buns, we think that would make a great burger perfect! We haven't had room for a shake, but watching them get delivered to the other tables certainly makes us want one, the presentation is amazing! We're also animal lovers and enjoy looking at all of the dog pics on the wall.Good job Hammy's!”

Gave the owner an idea to run contests with dogs or do a doggy Happy Hour to get some more clientle coming in. She was super sweet and accomodating, even giving a silver bowl which kept the ice cream cool for my dog since he was taking his good old time with his snack.”

“The Parrot is a uniquely Rehoboth spot that is a must visit. It has a main restaurant and bar, a side alley beer garden, and a hidden beach bar in the back. All fabulous!Food is not gourmet and a couple items are below average (avoid the chili) but on the whole it is solid and what you'd expect from a bar. The crab cake sandwich is top notch, the fried pickles are the best I ever had, and the Asian wings are perfect. Drinks are big and tasty, especially the spicy margarita. There is a lot to love here!Where they lose a star is service. Not for friendliness and capability, but speed. Too many times now it is just too slow, and that is not the servers or waitstaffs' fault. Recently we were seated nearly 15 minutes before we had to remind the hostess we were there, and she went to get the waitress. She was awesome, but drinks took another 10 min, food was close to 30, more, and that is all too long. It is not the workers at all, as they are all great, they just always seem shorthanded.Overall though it's a spot you have to see and experience, as it really is a ton of casual fun.”

Overall one cannot complain over the atmosphere and general condition of the seating and food. It is ideal for a small grub, may get harder when larger groups are being dealt with.”

Total was under $17.My only complaint was the style of steak is chopped. To me, that's pre-digested. “We had First State Corn & More cater our Rehersal Dinner of about 60 people. We had chicken, carnitas, and steak tacos with awesome sauces, street corn, wings, and cheesecake cups w/ toppings. Everything was fresh and delicious and service provided by Kathryn and her daughter was fantastic and friendly. We’ll definitely be recommending them to friends for future events, and we look forward to visiting again at their nice new storefront right in Rehoboth. “I went here with my mom at around 2 pm. They have daily specials so we got a wagyu burger for only $10. We also got a crab cake sandwich which is really good! So fresh and no breaded. We also got a dozen of oysters for only $12 at happy hours (3-6 pm) which is really a great deal and the oysters are high quality. For drinks they recommended me a ‘ crush’, I got the creamsicle crush, which I really love it. The view of the sea is also a big plus. Will definitely come back in the future!”

So was the steamed shrimp, carved ham, deviled eggs and fresh cut fruits. Our omelette took more than 30 minutes after we ordered it and asked about it twice. It was very dry and unappealing. We glanced at the dessert offerings that appeared old and dry and we didn’t try them as a result. To spend over $100 for 2 people it wasn’t worth it. Half of what was offered was good the other half was very disappointing. There are so many good restaurants in this area, sadly, this is not one of them.”

“First time there, it was so nice!! We had the Spinach Pie and Falafel for starters and they were soooo delicious!! Entrees were Shepherds Sauté and grilled Lamb Chops! Again just incredibly delicious!! The Shepherd Sauté was a gorgeous bowl of comfort food! Short ribs in a velvety red sauce/broth with little diced peppers, served with rice on the side. I put my rice right into the bowl and it was just so comforting. My daughter had the grilled lamb chops and well there were nothing but bones left on her plate! Too full for dessert but what a wonderful holiday treat!”
