“Don't let the outside fool you. This place has excellent food, service and atmosphere! We went at lunchtime on a Monday and were very pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away by a lovely hostess. We ordered Thai tea with the request to substitute coconut cream for the dairy cream(lactose intolerant), they had no problem with our request and it was so good! We also ordered the veggie sushi roll and pineapple curry. The sushi roll was quite large and very good. I had the pineapple curry with vegetables and my daughter had the same except with pork. Both were excellent and came with a small bowl of soup and a generous serving of jasmine rice! The portions were so large that we had to get to-go containers. I will definitely be a returning customer!Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options offered.Dietary restrictions: I was able to get their delicious Thai tea with coconut cream instead of dairy cream.“

“Even though Ellies has great food, great servers and othe help except Pam who was a different story the first time she was our server. She was pretty miserable and I noticed the busers were doing pretty much all of her work. She just took our order. Busers brought menus, silverware, drinks and even did our refills. One of the other servers on the floor brought us our food. We chalked it up to she was having a bad day and even though I wanted to tip the busers, we did tip Pam! Today we got her again and from what we could tell, nothing had changed! Our opinion, if you don't enjoy working with the public, hit the road before you start causing Ellies to lose customers. We will try again, but if we see her coming to us, we will ask for a different server. No one deserves to be treated rudely!!!! We are out because we enjoy good people and positivity as well as a great home diner!!!!.“

This is the first time I've ever ordered from this restaurant and I did it because I was looking for a deal on it there was a $4 discount applied through GrubHub. That definitely added to the attraction but I know they have to make money so I will not ever begrudge them that. But the $4 discount was nice on this order. This was the most delicious salad I've had in a little while. And I found the value to be good. I got the avocado dressing times two because one is not enough and that was a dollar extra. Not the avocado ranch but the avocado dressing and it was absolutely just the best combo. Wouldn't change a thing. My list of ingredients included three bases of kale red cabbage and spinach then I added green peppers red peppers kalamata olives green olives black bean corn salsa edamame grated carrots and I'm not sure what else but that's a pretty good summation.“

“It's hard finding good authentic style tacos in Tampa bay. This place serves high quality Mexican style tacos. I got the lengua, cabeza, el pastor and suadero (which was actually a carnitas). The tortilla to meat ratio is good. I don't feel they held back on meat like a lot of Mexican restaurants do. They definitely filled it up really nice. All were juicy and delicious except for the carnitas which were super fatty and greasy. The tortillas also tasted great. The ambiance had a Mexican style feel to it. Mexican music playing in the background, nicely decorated interior. The staff that took my order were also very nice. Overall I really enjoyed my tacos!“

It was on the pricey side but I was expecting that since we were by the beach. What I did not expect was the size of the chicken tenders, they were very small and for the price I was expecting larger. The food itself was good and came out quickly. They also had a variety of unique sauces like Old Bay Mayo, Honey Siracha etc.“
