“This place was legit! Fantastic flavorful food. Stopped by at 830 pm on a Friday and the ladies were smiling and willing to serve us. I know a lot of places get upset when you go there close to closing time.Order a total of 6 tacos and they were all fantastic. The steak ones were my favorite. They were full of meat, cilantro and onions and super flavorful. The sauces they give with them are really good too. One is really hot and one is mild.I would definitely give this place a try. Way better tacos than the chain ones down the road. $15 for 6 packed tacos, I’m in!“

“I've traveled all over Florida and Marifer's is THE BEST. Sometimes I eat here twice in a weekend...it's that good. I recommend their Carnitas, Pastor and Elote. There are a lot of taco trucks in Gibsonton these days but Marifer's has been here for years.“

“We really enjoy Trivia Night. However, service is poor. We visit every Wednesday with our family. This past week was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I was alone for a bit this week and had my laptop and books spread out on the table. It was impossible not to notice my setup. The waitress had one other table and it was right next to me. I waited over 30 minutes before going inside and ordering a drink. She said she didn’t see me. We made eye contact multiple times. I’m sure she probably thought the big party was a big tip. However, the rest of my family was joining me. We tip well, so definitely her loss.“

“The food was great. I am a frequent customer. I would have loved the give 5 stars but unfortunately the customer service was poor. I left my eyeglasses there and when I noticed I immediately called back and spoke with the owner the next morning to ask if anyone turned them in and if not, could they review their camera. She wasn't willing to help, and she offered many excuses. She had a nonchalant attitude. Why have a camera system if they are refusing to check it when needed. After numerous requests from me insisting she follow up; finally, she took my name but still I have not heard back from her or anyone else at this establishment. It's sad they treat a loyal customer this way. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!“

“I've been a loyal customer at Los Chapos since they opened their Ybor location and frequent the food truck in Lutz close to my job. If you're familiar with the Tampa area, you know that the long line of cars on that side of 7th speaks volumes about the quality here.Last Friday, I was unfortunately in an accident on my way to pick up a pre-ordered meal before closing time. Once things settled down, I remembered to call Los Chapos and explain the situation. To my relief, they were incredibly understanding and assured me that I could get my original order at no charge once I was feeling better. They even extended an invitation for me and my family to their Cinco de Mayo event.A couple of days later, I managed to visit the restaurant, and true to their word, they welcomed me with a warm hug from the manager and my order, complete with a large horchata. The food, as always, was fresh, flavorful, right down to the jalapeño on the side. I'm immensely grateful for their kindness amidst the chaos and will continue to support and recommend this wonderful business.“

“A humble fast casual restaurant with really nice staff and the best chicken quesadilla I've ever had! This is no Americanized menu. There are tacos, quesadillas, sopes, and tamales, and each one looks better than the last. You can even have a bowl! The tortilla was crispy, the mozzarella cheese was generous, and the chicken was delicious! The chicken was chopped into small pieces, sauteed in something incredible, and had fresh cilantro sprinkled on top. Whenever I'm close by, I'll be eating here and trying their sopes next!“

“Over the course of a few months in Tampa I ate here a few times. The service and atmosphere here is great. The food is ok. Overall I would describe it as bland. If you want something healthy at a decent price this is a great choice. Just don’t expect much in the way of seasoning.Parking: Ample parking in the front of the restaurant. It was never that busy over 4 or five trips. It seemed to thrive off of the takeout market.“

“Empanadas filled differently. 4pk/$25($7ea. hey, it's Armature Works). Fresh Prince: take on a Philly. Buffalo Soldier 2.0: buffalo chicken. Cheeseburger in Paradise: as advertised. Tampa Girl: a Cuban in an empanada. All delicious. Taste like they were baked or air fried. Thank God, because the insides were pretty gooey with cheese ?. Cute baking mold with the names. There's tacos, too. I hear it's another great transition from a food truck. If you're trying not to have a full meal, most of the places in AW don't help, even the smaller kiosks seemed geared to larger(and pricier) offerings. See my review of AW.“

“The owner is kind and helpful. The food is amazing! And prices are great! Portions are good to! I had the Al pastor burrito! Guac is automatically included inside with no up charge. And I tried a fried plantain desert that comes with a sweetened condensed milk sauce ? the whole thing will probably be 3 meals for me. The burrito was $9 and dessert $3.“

“This is authentic Mexican food. The owners don't speak English so brush up on your Spanish. The burrito, quesadilla, and mangonada were delicious. There is no outdoor signage and no seating. It's difficult to find, but it's good if you enjoy trying mom and pop restaurants like I do.“
