“Papa Llama, 2840 Curry Ford Road, Orlando- 4-Stars Michelin Recommended- Bib Gourmand! Peruvian immigrants, Kevin and Maria Ruiz, say they founded Papa Llama in 2016 as an experimental pop up and opened the doors of this location in August 2020. In 2022, they earned the Michelin Guide's coveted "Bib Gourmand" award for establishments that serve good food at reasonable prices so naturally, I got excited. Paulina, my server, was well prepared and knowledgeable, making for an auspicious beginning in a gorgeous environment featuring good prices for dishes that could be made to satisfy both carnivores and herbivores alike. I ordered the entire family style menu which was, according to Papa Llama, "designed to be tasted together, shared, and fought over." So much food for just over a hundred dollars. The prices may have been cheap but the taste and quality of (most) victuals valieron un Perú! A hearty Big Boy Thank You (Sulpayki!) to Kevin and Maria and the culinary dactylograms of their ancestors, on this amazing cuisine (Somaq Mihuna!). The first item on the menu was Olives--whole green Castelvetrano olives marinated in house with aji panca--which were so delectable I could eat them all day. Next, the Red + Gold Beets, a minty beet salad with honey ají amarillo vinaigrette, queso fresco, and candied pistachio, which started out smooth and creamy and ended with a pleasantly piquant bite. Papas a la Huancaína followed, a fingerling potato dish with spicy aji amarillo cream, wakatay (black mint) salsa verde, and beef chicharron, topped with a fried egg. The potatoes themselves were not the star, but the combination of flavors in the sauce were amazing, unctuous but smooth. Papa Llama carries a long list of natural wines, more wines than food items, actually. That evening, I chose the Yuzu Sake, and may I say, "Holy smokes!" How refreshing after consuming so many peppers. The rest of the dishes I would give 4.5 to 5-Stars, EXCEPT for the side of frozen Sysco French fries which almost ruined an otherwise stellar meal. There are over 300 kinds of potatoes in Peru. Over 300! Perhaps in the United States we don't have the same abundance as found in El Valle Sagrado (the Sacred Valley) but, por favor, do not stoop to this! The Big Boy says, "Eat here. All the authentic Peruvian flavors at Papa Llama are 5-Star, but skip the fries, which are a corporate conglomerate frozen food disappointment."“

“Wow! My wife and I have been past this restaurant for years and never thought to come in as we actually thought that they were closed. We realized that we have been making a big mistake and we are already figuring out when to return. Everything that we ordered was phenomenal (Bruschetta, Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, Carne Trio, and Cannoli.)“

“Went to Eola Wine Company a while back with some coworkers. It was a great time. Trying to find parking was a bit tough since I went during a busy time, and I ended up having to pay for parking. But the food and drinks were worth it. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seats to choose from.“

“We shared FB memories with our server for the last several years where we have celebrated our anniversary at Seasons (43 this year). This is our go-to "nice" place as the food, service and ambiance are just terrific. We are also thrilled to see that servers and staff we have gotten to know over time are largely still there which is super fun. I'm looking forward to the menu change next week.“

“Amazing!!!!, the service is super. You feel so welcome, had the fried goat and burrata appetizer, incredible, very well done and the presentation so attractive. I had the ahi tuna stack, really good but my husband had the red grouper and it was much better. Would definitely come back again and again. There is plenty of parking in a garage very near by.“

“Rob provided excellent service! I love it when a server senses when we are interested in being chatty and when we are ready to just chill. Rob has that down! Food was fantastic, as always. Cocktails are filled to the brim and delicious. Lobster, perfect. Shrimp cocktail, perfect. Salads, sides, perfect, perfect. My husband loves the corn side dish! And we have always loved their deep wine list. Thanks again, Rob & Capitol grille for a lovely evening.“

“Came to see Nesto's jazz trio. Chill atmosphere and good drinks. My drink had gin black sea salt and basil. It was only nine bucks so reasonably priced. It wasn't too packed which we loved. It's a small spot with friendly staff“

“Myself my daughter her boyfriend and her boyfriend's mother met for dinner there and our waiter was outstanding our meals were exceptionally good two of us had chicken piccata one had a pizza and one had a pasta dish with vodka sauce and then we shared a Tiramisu for dessert the only reason I did not give it five stars is because my pasta was stuck together and rather chewy but I'm assuming it was because it was Al Dente but it would have been nice if it had not been stuck together. I actually had to use a knife to cut it so I could eat it, but other than that everything was above and beyond.“

“I have had cheese and wine samplings here in the past and everything was delicious and nicely handled. The wine selection is always unmatched in 99% of Orlando. Serve yourself stations are a big bonus. This is the wine-down Wednesday you want. (Buy a wine card and they put a matching amount, for the night, and/or future use.) Surprised to find no entertainment, the din of the crowd was fun, and music enough to my ears. Tons people totally engaged and in great moods. The staff was equally nice and under such a constant flow of biz; great.Parking: The free parking garage is 1.5 blocks north and 1 block east. Easy access to all of Park Ave from there“

“The coolest bar in the Milk District! Tasty Takeover (multiple food trucks) on Tuesday night is awesome. Live music on first Fridays of the month is always spectacular. The owners are the only staff, and are the friendliest bartenders in Orlando. You have to check it out!“

“Cool looking wooden lacker tables and bar top, it was clean, great verity on the options I could chose from, great craft beers, great service from Analiese when I told her what I was looking for she delivered. She gave me multiple samples to find my favorite choice and I am very grateful.Parking: There is a lot off to the side and in the backKid-friendliness: not kid friendly but the patio in the back would be best for small children to accompany you“

“Fantastic food. Service was quick and kind. Prices overall were a little high, but the portions and quality are equivalent. The best yuca fries I've ever had, no exaggeration! The flan is also amazing. Plantains were too soft for my liking, but have very good flavor, so they were still enjoyable. We had the pork and the picadillo, both fantastic. The outdoor seating was nicely sheltered from busy Colonial Dr. Wish parking were better, but that's just a problem in that area. Prepare to parallel park.Parking: Not many spots and may need to parallel park.“

“My wife is immunocompromised so dining out is generally not an option. I saw that Digress offered a private cellar for dining and I contacted them to see if they'd allow just the two of us to dine there. I was contacted by Jenna, who was very accommodating and arranged for us to have the room on a Thursday. We could not have had a better time! It was so nice to be out and enjoying a wonderful meal and wines for each course! Jenna made the wine selections after we worked out a menu with Heberto from Duck & Drake and they were all outstanding wines and paired beautifully with the meal. Jenna was a wonderful host and Randy was a great server. Both wore masks to keep us safe, which we greatly appreciated! We had great conversations with Jenna about wine and the history of the place since the last time I had been there, under the previous owner. We will definitely be doing this again and cannot recommend this experience enough - you must give them a try!“
