“The passion of the owner is so apparent when you walk in the door. With a warm hello, you immediately feel welcome. The decor is warm and comfortable with a “Turkish eye” on each table. The service is top notch, selection of craft beer and wine is also impressive. But the real beauty is in the food. We ordered knots, a calzone, and mom’s pizza. We took home half of the food with a chicken parm sub for later. The taste of the sauce is great, and all ingredients were fresh, up to and including the dough. We were extremely pleased and look forward to our next visit.“

“We had dinner on patio area. It was lovely. The Sunday gravy was the best I've ever tasted. The special branzino fish was delish, moist and thick cooked perfectly. The meatballs and calamari to start were big hits ... the calamari not your traditional fried but drenched in lightly spicy red sauce. We had the steak special which was also cooked to perfection.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful experience when we visited the restaurant in Alton. The music was loud and we were going to leave but my wife decided to go speak with one of the managers to see if he could do anything about it because we have hearing problems. He immediately got the music turned down a little and then got us a seat within 5 minutes. The food was wonderful and Chris the GM kept checking with us that we were being taken care of. “A classic Italian deli/bakery. I had my NYE party catered by Antonio’s and everyone loved the food. I’m a vegetarian and have several vegan friends, and Antonio’s made me a meat and a vegan mostaccioli option, which the meat eaters of the group couldn’t even tell the difference between the two. The catering was very reasonably priced, and I had a pretty tight timeline they were able to accommodate as well.In addition to their catering, their store is so classic Italian deli, and I love it. All the ladies are so sweet, and the cannolis are insane. It feels very old school when you walk in, like you’re in a neighborhood deli in Chicago or NY that’s been in the family for 75 years.Antonio’s is one of my favorite hidden gems in the area.“

“I like Sal's. They do a darned decent job. I don't think I've ever had anything here that I didn't really like. Today, the service was super efficient.. but not overly personable. The picata was really good, but the pasta could have been drained just a little bit more. The garlic rolls are Outstanding. The red sauce is Outstanding. The meatballs are always Oustanding. Pizzas are great! The atmosphere is quiet, and you never feel rushed. Prices are fair, and the portions are generous. I'd be in a lot more if I lived closer. Nice job, guys!“

“I have never been disappointed in the pizza. Our office orders several times per month and always order the Veggie Special (love the fried eggplant on it!) and a large Cheese pie. Garlic knots are awesome, and their antipasto and other salads are extremely fresh and tasty. Their house dressing is refresing and light.“

“We sat for awhile before we were approached for drinks. Finally the owners noticed and took our drink order. After that all was smooth, a waiter came and service was on track. Food was delicious. Cocktails were very good. Had the zucchini and calamari appetizer and beet salad to start. Tortellini, sausage and peas special was very good and filling, and the pappardelle and mushroom pasta was great. The ahi Mahi was great too.“
