“Everywhere you look there’s food and it’s hard to decide what to get. I’ve been here probably 5 times before actually reviewing because I keep forgetting but I do love this place. I typically get the tuna salad on a bagel. You can add tomato, lettuce, cucumber and onion to the sandwiches. Their pastries are awesome. I love their brownies but they do sell out. Their prices are cheap too compared to other places. There’s usually a wait but the employees are really fast and I typically need the extra time to make up my mind :)“

“Ordered a 6-inch guava cake and it was so fresh, moist, not too sweet and delicious! ? Beautifully decorated as well. The staff were communicative and I appreciate them being able to make the cake two days earlier than initially stated. Also a big fan of their convenient online ordering system!“

“We stumbled upon an incredible pizza company at Off Color Brewing. Four large squares of pizza, mix and match, boasting a variety of flavors that left us super impressed. As newcomers to the area from the Pacific Northwest, we've been eager to explore different styles of pizza, including deep dish and more. This particular pizza experience stood out as one of the best we've encountered so far! Not only is it reasonably priced, but the fun and inventive flavors, like cacio e pepper, added an exciting twist we hadn't tried before. The leftover slices even made for a perfect Sunday breakfast. We can't recommend it enough!“

“Food was great, but service was lacking.Wait was quite long on the weekend, but that was expected. If I were to go again, I'd probably bring my own latte for the line, ha. But the maiz con leche was everything I hoped it would be. The longanisa was superb. I couldn't identify the spices, but it had such a different balance than what I'm used to in Latin cuisine. They have an odd ordering/seating system where you order at the front, pay, but then they don't sit you for a while, then they sit you, then they bring you out your food. They came by 4 times during our brunch to tell us that they couldn't find our lattes in the system. Not once did they ask what the lattes were. They eventually brought out the lattes as we were just finishing our meals (and obviously found them in the system since they brought out the right ones). Since we already tipped, I guess no incentive to do anything about the poor service. They didn't comp the lattes, they didn't bring out a little dessert, etc. like you might see in a any other restaurant.Obviously they need to make the ticketing system more accessible to their waiters or train them on it better.“

“What an absolutely wonderful experience! The people working were helpful, kind and full of suggestions. We got a tiramisu "cookie" which had the texture of a moon pie, not sweet, just perfect in flavor. The brioche with sausage, egg, cheese paired perfectly with a coffee. The shortbread with dark chocolate, sea salt and strawberries was delightful. Lastly, the chocolate chip, sea salt and tahini cookie was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I'm definitely coming back. For those flavors it was worth every penny.“

“Small interior, but very nice outdoor patio space to eat at. Started with the chicken pot pie. Nice crispy crust and a great balance of peas, carrots, and chicken. Great flavors but the chicken was a little overcooked messing with the overall texture of the pie filling. The reason I came was to try a sweet pie and ended up getting the chocolate pud’n. The pudding and cocoa whipped cream had perfect consistencies with the pudding being slightly thicker. Dark chocolate curls on top being a nice touch and everything being encompassed by the crust which reminded me of brownie brittle. The slice was not overly sweet but gave me all the chocolate flavor I needed. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their other sweet pies as well the mushroom pot pie.“

“Absolutely delicious! So light and airy with amazing flavors! Plus friendly service. The lady that helped me was also very sweet to my dog, she even came around to pet her and give her a treat. (She made sure to wash her hands immediately after!) I'll be back!“

“I was parking and saw a crowd of people hovering around a storefront like they were waiting for doors to open for the Nordstrom Semi Annual Sale! Thus, I had to walk over and see what all the fuss was about. Tons of people were waiting outside in the cold for pastries. I looked at the menu on the window and noticed all the pastries are gluten free and they have a large selection of vegan options! There were so many vegan options that I bared the cold trying to make a decision. I settled on the vegan brownie. The staff were all friendly and processed orders quickly. While walking, I tasted a piece of the vegan brownie. It was simply, AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back and try other vegan pastry options.“

“I ordered these cookies on DoorDash, so I can’t speak on the atmosphere. I was not ready for what was delivered. There should be a rule of getting more than two cookies because I could barely have the one that I had. Each one was uniquely amazing and I was only upset at the fact I ate real food before. This is for sure a guilty pleasure reward after a hard day of work in the field.“

“Me, my fiancé and our friend came here to check it out on a rainy day and super glad we did! The three workers who helped us were super chill and made it a very comfortable experience. We all got different infused lemonades that were super tasty! We will definitely be back to try their other flavors and pastries. If you have been considering coming in, it’s definitely worth it :)“

“Cheap, fresh, and delicious Chinese pastries. They also sell a few dim sum items, I recommend the siu mai (steamed pork and shrimp dumplings). The BBQ pork buns are a classic and the Portuguese egg tarts are a must when fresh. Bring cash and be prepared to wait in line on the weekends.“

“I was walking by and saw this place and decided to try it; I'd never seen it before nor eaten anything from it because I hadn't been in the area for several years and it didn't exist back then. I got a biscuit and it was perfect. I've had lots of biscuits over the years and this was among the best. The decor is really cute and the place is like a gem along Grand. I will definitely go back and try the other baked goods. I should've taken a picture but I was too busy enjoying the biscuit :)“

“We just visited the brand new Wicker Park location on Pierce around the corner from the Damen Blue Line stop. The pastries we tried (pistachio croissant and various biscotti) were incredible. The staff and owner Ciro were so welcoming in their new beautiful establishment. So many delicious authentic Italian options to choose from!“

“Driving by with some friends and we noticed this spot and decided to stop by since we're bánh mi aficionados. The number 1 special was fantastic. My only critique on the banh mi is that the bread was a bit crunchy so it scraped the roof of my mouth pretty good but I'll pay that price anytime. Definitely hitting this place up whenever I'm in town again.“

“My wife and my go to bakery spot in Chicagoland. Everything we’ve gotten here is fantastic, and it is a regular spot we will frequent until we die! Order anything and you will not be disappointed. A short list of everything we love there: cookies, lemon pound cake, olive oil cake, Georgie cake, and their cold brew. The ambiance is also awesome for a date or to just chill with friends. Can’t go wrong here!“

“Yum! Love a bao place. I think everything we got here was good. Cute atmosphere. Lots of natural textures and fun art. You place your order on the one side and can go through to the other to sit and eat. Got a London Fog Tea Latte too, but it wasn't the strong pick-me-up I needed. If you don't prefer strong teas, this might be a nice one to try.“

“Vietnamese people support Vietnamese people, but no matter what, it must be evaluated as such. The banh mi and pork sausage are just average and cannot be called the best.As for the roasted pork, it still hasn't reached perfection, but if you crave ?, you can eat it for now.You can eat rice and wine, but you can't eat them.Food is a bit less than before. But still support.(Forgot to take pictures)“

“Always a solid, delicious sandwich. The owner is a feminine force, sweetheart and also tough. Always a line out the door, expect to wait 20 minutes for your sandwich when it’s busy. But you get to wait and people watch, so that makes it interesting. Feels very much like a cool neighborhood place.Forget nasty potbelly’s, why aren’t you here?!!!OG Chicago vibes“

“We had the Passionfruit Merguine pie and Coconut Cream pie and they were both amazing. The sourness of the Passionfruit hit you in the back of the jaw in a very good way. The Coconut was flavorful but light, a perfect balance. They also have selections of coffee available but we decided against it due to our plans for the night. I'm very happy we decided to come here for dessert.“

“Absolutely delicious. I went on a Sunday morning so there was a bit of a wait (roughly 15 minutes), but it was so worth it! I chose the vodka sauce, basil and Parmesan bialy and the labneh cheesecake danish. Both were to die for and I will definitely be returning!“

“The food is excellent. However, there was only one person taking orders and serving, so we had to wait a while for our food. A great place for a relaxing lunch.Vegetarian options: The summer omelet and the Athena omelet were both delicious, filled with lots of veggies. The eggplant, pea, and potato varenyky were very good. The desserts were scrumptious, so be sure to leave room for dessert.Parking: Many of the nearby streets require a residential sticker.“

“I went there craving for something sweet after 6 PM on Friday. Ordered a chocolate brioche, a coconut chocolate chip caramel cookie and a chocolate cookie. Everything seemed to be freshly baked, unexpectedly heavy, and full of filling, so it took the two of us three days to consume this good stuff. And I never had an issue with a lack of appetite.I personally prefer less sweet options, but these cookies are not as sweet as traditional American staples, and I appreciate that. If you want a cookie so packed with stuff it becomes a bit overpowering, the coconut one is a good choice. Not complaining though. It fed the two of us.Brioche was a bit too thick for my taste, but it was also good. The service that I experienced is what I assume to be typical for Chicago: slightly poker-faced and nonchalant but not rude or anything like that.I would give this bakery another try for the items that I haven’t eaten yet.“

“new favorite cafe!! love everything about this place, from the staff to the pastries and coffee. the girl that took my order was so sweet and when i was leaving another worker even gave me a free canele! i got the iced lavender latte with oat milk, my first time trying a lavender latte and it was so good! if you like the flavor of tea, you will love it. i also got an artichoke and cheese pastry (unfortunately forgot the name...), a nice portion of tasty artichoke and warm flakiness that made me want more. theres a small nice seating area on the main floor and i spent an hour getting some work done, there isnt much noice or chaos so its a good place to relax or bring some friends. as i was leaving, i took two passionfruit tarts for my family to try. i will say though the pastries are a bit pricey but the pretty presentations and ingredients make it worth it i think, especially if youre just treating yourself to something good. also consider parking because most of the spots around the area are full!“

“This is easily the best cafe I've been to in Chicago. Ordered an almond milk cappuccino and a whole milk iced cappuccino. The almond cappuccino was literally perfect - the proportion of espresso to milk was perfect, and usually almond espresso drinks are extra hard to have good latte art but the barista made it look so beautiful. Also the first time I've ever tried a ICED cappuccino (didn't know that was a thing). And after that I cannot go back to having iced lattes - iced cappuccinos are on a completely different planet. The barista also kindly presents your drinks that they just carefully crafted to you when you pick them up, making the experience extra personal and endearing.Don't get me started on the coffee beans and the quality of the shots. They are unlike anything I've had before. What can I say, this place has a special place in my heart.“

“Best cheese cake, I have ever eaten. Visited their corporate office yesterday and bought some frozen cheese cakes. If you buy frozen , it is cheaper but you can eat after at least 90 minutes. They have a small operation where they sell sliced ready to eat ones but they are more pricey. They have great selection. Especially I recommend the samplers.Parking: Huge parking lot available for free“

“How have I passed by this place so many times and never tried it? I got to know about this bakery through a customer who gave us a box of danishes and they were so good that I had to find out where he got them from. Lo and behold, it is from Schlegel’s and I pass by them pretty regularly. Now, I have stopped by around 4 times and each time I am very pleasantly surprised by their fresh and delicious pastries. They also do Paczkis around Fat Tuesday and they are so good. Sad I just found out about them but glad I did.“
