“I was in the USN about 30 years ago and had my first experience of lumpia back then. There is nothing finer in life than when a flavor from way back comes to life again. I pulled in. Darted in. Ask if it was possible to get 20 count of lumpia. No. How about 25? Well sure I'll suffer for the good of humanity. Only $9.00 for 25! Great experience. In and out with deliciousness.“

“This place is the best. The food is to die for. I have been to Boonies several times now and i have yet to have a menu item that i haven't absolutely loved. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere and playlist are great. I can't recommend this place enough!“

“Love Kasama! I’ve been back each time I visit the city and the breakfast is banging. I know the sandwich + hash-brown is iconic and a must try but their other food is equally as delicious. Would highly recommend ordering online to skip the line if you don’t plan to eat inside.“

“Good food, decent portions, but overprice. Fast service once seated. Wait times are Looong! Waited over 1.5 hour outside cold weather. Wish there's feedback on wait times in the scheduling app or from staff. Wish they'll advertise their online scheduling online before arriving at the restaurant.“

“By far one of my fave spots in Chicago. Every time I’m there they’re exploring something new and delicious but are consistently true to their flavors and culture. This Cuban Filipino fusion rings true to its inspirations and never disappoints. This was our first time getting the 5 course tasting meal and every dish was amazing. Great flavors, textures, and as a couple that doesn’t drink a lot we loved the N/A drink pairing. We were definitely full by the end.Alfredo was an incredible server/host and was very attentive to our needs and creating a special environment for us. Would highly recommend for a good date night or to celebrate a happy occasion.Very intimate setting!Dietary restrictions: Good with my shellfish allergy. The substitutes were still incredible. Mushroom for lobster.Parking: Easy street parking. Def can find a spot within a block. Maybe harder at peak peak times.“

“Absolutely love new Filipino restaurants popping up in the area. Street parking, open early and through dinner. Fireplace by the front windows, multiple drinks and foods available. Handicap entrance, but the counter to order has stairs so I'm not sure how that is handled. My wife and I went early morning on a weekday as soon as they opened. Limited seating inside, but we were able to get out items quickly. Filipino breakfast is served all day but it is very expensive for their servings. We got the longanisa (2pc) and spam (1pc) combo and it was around 10 after tax, but compared to Uncle Mike's around the corner, their portion seemed like an appetizer. I ordered an Ube latte. I took the pistachio milk (cost extra) vs whole milk. I was surprised and happy to see the it was not overly sweetened for a latte or an Ube drink. It's was more creamy from the milk and very subtle Ube flavor. The milk almost masks the purple potato flavor.I noticed that their lattes depend on their espresso machine. Unfortunately it produces one at a time so during rush hours, expect a wait.“

“Had a great experience my first time here. Food was delicious, portions were huge, and the service was phenomenal!! Service is what really stood out to me. Also they were very fast and gave a complimentary cookie and fortune cookie with the check. Highly recommended ! Try the combination rice can't go wrong.“
“The puto is amazing at Ima’s! It’s spongy, moist, and subtly sweet. Perfect! I purchased the plain, ube, and pandan and my family was very happy.I spoke whom I believe was the owner and he was very knowledgeable about dietary allergies (gluten-free, dairy-free, nuts). He also explained they make their own rice flour in-house by grinding their own rice. Amazing! They also have a hot bar of food and frozen desserts.Everything is to-go. No dine-in.“

“Had an amazing dining experience at Max's Restaurant in Chicago! The Filipino cuisine was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The warm and inviting atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment. Don't miss out on their signature dishes—they're a true culinary delight! Can't wait to visit again. ?? #MaxsChicago #FoodieHeaven“
“This place was soooo busy during the weekend and I LOVED to see it! However.. lol, I don't love that I wasn't able to try anything that I truly wanted. The options were sparse since I didn't come when they first opened. Shelves were pretty empty other than pan de sal and a few other bread options. They do have a fridge that contains traditional Filipino food items - pancit, menudo, etc. Although I wasn't able to try any of the pastries I wanted, the items I did try were of great quality. Both owners were at the shop when I was there. In my opinion it shows that they put their heart, soul and time into their business. Other staff members were friendly and ready to help and explain any items that individuals weren't familiar with. There is indoor seating, maybe about 15-20 chairs and a few tables. I'll definitely be coming back once the grand opening jam packed busy the entire time settles down.“

“Excellent food. This is a true family operation with Lola in the kitchen making everything homemade. The bangus (i.e. deboned milkfish), chicken adobo, garlic fried rice, and lumpia Shanghai are ALL the best in class. The chicken adobo is so soft that it falls right off the bone. And the family is very nice, too. Great people, great food, and very reasonably priced.“

“The Batchoy (hope I spelled it correctly) was extremely delicious. My wife is from Iloilo and we looked all over town for it and she says it is very similar to what she has in the Phillipines. I had it and it tasted really good. I also had the chicken (Paav I think) and garlic rice and was delicious. Will definitely be back for sure.“
“We ordered three boxes of lunch (two items with rice; some meat curries and stir friend vegetables with meat). It was yummy with great taste and reasonable price and portion. We paid 30 dollars for it and i found it reasonable for the food and quantity.Though, food choices were less, maybe some food items might have finished till we reached there. But, taste and price was reasonable.“

“Delicious food and great service!Cannot go wrong with the longsilog for a hearty breakfast! The longanisa was juicy and very flavorful, and it was complimented by the garlic rice! The sizzle sisig is my personal favorite so far!Lechon kawali is another great choice! Crispy skin and fat was rendered well with a good balance of meatI’ll be back!!“
