“Got a drink here on Saturday night and there was more than enough space for us! I liked how we got to decide if we wanted to sit on the quiet side or the bar side. The signature mule was amazing and my partners drink was made exactly to his liking.“

“Facing a lengthy layover in Chicago, I sought refuge (and sustenance) at the iconic George's. Opting for a classic, I dove into their corned beef omelet – a revelation. Perfectly cooked and bursting with savory flavor, the tender corned beef was a textural and tastebud-pleasing counterpoint to the fluffy eggs. While the service was attentive, the true star of the show was this omelet, solidifying George's reputation as a Chicago brunch institution.“

“The food at Little Gem Cafe is always so good. The service is great even though they are always super crowded. Stuffed pork chop with Brussel sprouts, so awesome! Fun little joint with usually some jazz playing in the background. Thumbs up!“

“We've eaten at Cooper's Hawk a couple of times - the food is surprisingly good, like much better than I would've imagined for even a small chain. The wine is, of course, particularly good. I don't drink anymore but I loved their Zinfandel when I did, and we always get rave reviews when we gift a bottle of Cooper's Hawk wine.“

“The front of the house staff and the food envisioned by Chef Laura and well executed by the talented kitchen staff are outstanding. Simply outstanding.simple yet intesting eats. Whitney is beyond attentive to his guests' beverage interests. "George" Harrison, Jack and the under 21 staff are eager, respectful, and engaging. What a treasure in this neighborhood spot, with beyond just the nearby geographically located closeby fan base. Who's going to gift me with a card to Kettlestrings Tavern for Christmas? "8 days a week" left until December 25“

“Agustana was an excellent, patient waitress (one of our group took a lot of time with questions and requested menu changes).Service was slow, but they may have been missing staff. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Food was as expected from a Denny's franchise. One disturbing item - it was raining hard, and we asked if we could go out the side door nearer where our car was parked. We didn't realize it was an emergency exit, so the refusal to use it was understandable. What was disturbing was that the on-duty manager said the door was locked, and she did not have a key. Just imagine needing to use that exit but unable to do so because no one there had a key, and the franchise owner (who had the key) was not on the premises. As I said, disturbing.Parking: This is one of the few businesses in all of downtown Oak Park that has a free parking lot. Thank you, Denny's.“

“I got a sausage and cheddar breakfast wrap today and it was great. Good food and it was packed full. Staff was friendly and actually other customers were friendly as well. The wrap was a good portion and worth what they charge for it. I work in the area and don't get in here nearly enough. I would suggest this location to others.“

“My family and I were visiting Chicago for the first time last week and we stumbled upon Scratch on Lake when we needed a quick meal. I don’t ever write reviews but the service we received from Bridget was the best I have ever had! She was so kind to us and answered all of our questions. She even gave us recommendations for activities for the rest of our trip. Overall there are not enough words to describe how amazing of a waitress Bridget was! I will now tell all of my friends to visit Scratch on Lake when they are in Chicago!“

“The first thing that I noticed about Amerikas was the super lively and bright ambiance. I went I on a Saturday night with my wife, so I wasn't surprised by all of the people dining and having a good time, and as I ate my dinner I definitely learned why. The decor is bright and fun. The walls are lined by mutuals, mostly yellow, with big splashes of color. I liked how then kept the lights on to keep the atmosphere bright and fun. The food was delicious too. My wife and ordered the pulpo, barbacoa, tacos (shrimp and pork shoulder), tostada de pescado, ceviche and the dragon fruit cheesecake for dessert. I enjoyed all of the dishes, my favorites were the barbacoa and the pulpo. The barbacoa was super flavorful and fell right off the bone, no knife was need. The pulpo was cooked to perfection and was tender and delicious. The risk with pulpo is that it can be chewy and tough, definitely not the case here. One note, the tostada for the tostada de pescado seem a bit too dry, but the flavor of fresh seafood made up for it. If you want a fun show with your food, order the ceviche, it comes out with a cool smoke effect. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, and the overall experience at the restaurant was enjoyable. While they don't have a parking lot, street parking is cheap (at least compared to Chicago) and plentiful. Amerikas is a must visit in Oak Park.“
