“I'd like to start this post by saying most of the reviews that are 1 star seem like very sensitive people that are giving it a VERY bias review based on their own personal experience and not with the food. I ordered 3 meals and everything was outstanding. My own personal meal reminded me of a meal I got back home in St. Louis and could not be replicated in the Chicagoland area. The lomo en chile with a side of jalapeños. I mean outstanding. So much flavor and great portion size. As full as I was I couldn't stop eating it. The other 2 were asada taco dinners. Outstanding once again. Very authentic. Also got a large horchata and Jarritos. All of that food for only $50. Not only will I be going here again but I am having my company order meals for the store lunches we do. Do yourself a favor and come here for lunch or dinner. I personally can't wait to try breakfast.“

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that immediately transported us to Mexico. “The Company I work for has used Authentic Taco twice for Summer lunches. We just had out lunch today. We will probably go to them again later this summer. Good food at a good value. They'll provide anything you might need like utensils and the like. Highly recommend for lunch as well.“

“My wife, daughter, and I stopped by early this morning and it was great to find this hidden gem. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and prices were more reasonable than several other Mexican restaurants in the area.I had the Chilaquiles (without meat or additional onion) and it had just the right amount of taste and spice. My wife had the Huevos Rancheros which she liked but were a bit too spicy for her. It was her first time trying them. I found them D-lish (I love me some spice!). My daughter had the breakfast burrito... it had chorizo, scrambled eggs, pico de gallo, and 1 or 2 other ingredients.There was plenty of parking and a small outdoor seating area as you walk in if that's your vibe. Definitely will be coming back to try out the rest of the menu. The hours are limited though so you'll have to plan accordingly.“

“I stopped in for lunch and had a carne asada Burrito. It had fresh ingredients and was good. This was my second visit to the place. The service was good. Order at the counter, take a seat and then your food is prepared and brought out to you.“

“I decided to try this place with the recommendation of a friend. I've seen some random ads on social media, but I've never seen it. I'm glad that I came here for lunch. It's a small spot with big flavor. The person taking my order was really nice and delivered my food rather quickly. I had the birria and agua fresca. The food was fresh and the aqua fresca was refreshing. The meat was tender and the consume was hot hot. Not just your regular hot, but a little extra hot so be careful. The salsa was also delicious. At the time, I believe there was a birria special on Wednesdays, but that could change. Overall a nice little hidden gem that I would come back to. The only thing I'm unsure of is if there's a bathroom. It's a small spot, so there may not be one.“

The drinks are good but *drinks may lead to mischief* lol it is beautiful outside this time of year so I would recommend outdoor seating as you can enjoy the warm weather without the sun beating down on you and the aroma from their flower plots compliment it all. “Had the steak taco with onions and cheese. Also opted for refried beans.I normally don't frequent these fast food places but I was in a hurry. The young lady who took my order and made my food was very nice.The steak meat was decent. “I would say this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Streamwood and Hanover Park areas. I usually call in my order and ten minutes it's ready. The owners are always cool and the food is amazing. We usually get the shrimp and steak burrito and the queso birria tacos with the consume. Great taste and size for the price. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the salsas, I feel like there to runny and need a bit of heat. Other than that this is a really great place to get burritos and birria“
