“Always have a good time at Mahoney's every time I'm in town I always go the little local bar They don't serve food but there's plenty around to get something to eat and they will deliver to the place and you can eat there , nice little patio smoking area in the back highly recommended nice place“
“Basic dive bar in Villa Park with a few slots and an overall greasy a** feel. Fitz's, also known as the Irish Bulldog, is a pretty worn out looking place. It has what you expect in a place like this. Cheap booze and fried greasy bar food like wings and crap. The best things are the slots and TVs for basic entertainment. Came in for a bit. It wasn't busy but it felt crowded because the place is small. The crowds are kind of rough but they usually don't start fights and thankfully I haven't seen any yet. Beer is the best thing on the menu. It's $2 for a typical draft and they have the basic s*** like Miller and stuff. There's usually a few taps not working. Such a dive bar. The food is basic fried and greasy stuff. It doesn't have Irish food. They do occasionally like on St. Patrick's Day and so. Get some cheap a** beer. It's your best bet, including on the slots. The place smells like farts and fries though.“

“I believe the bartenders name was Lauren (long blonde hair), and she was fantastic. Great recommendations, never a wait to request something and very sweet.Another girl with cute shorter red brown hair ran us our food, checked in with us and was super friendly. She may have been a manager? All staff i met were great, no wait time for the bar, excellent food, wonderful drinks. Thanks for a great time!“

“Stopped by for the first time. Had the meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and they both were delicious. My daughter had the Mac n cheese and it was kind of bland but she's 6 so she still ate it.Other than that the waiter was awesome and the price for 2 meals was very reasonable! Will be going back.“

“Been going here forever. Being half German means getting fed here mandatory. This time Wiener Schnitzel (2 HUGE pieces) was my choice. I've had so many things and they're all good. Spaetzle & the sweet & sour red cabbage this time. And I got to warm it up again 2 days later; they are generous portions. Like beer? List is endless.“

“Went there for Wife’s Birthday last week. Great Salad,Soup and Deep Dish. Couple cocktails too were yummy“
“This place is truly a hidden gem. We were recommended to check this spot out by a local bartender, and we are so glad we did! The ambiance was really chill and non pretentious. Our mixologist, David, was super personable and well versed in his craft. He’s bringing experience from cocktail programs in the city to the burbs! It was a cute little spot that gave speakeasy vibes. We initially thought we were underdressed, but this place wasn’t booshie at all, and there was no judgement like some places. The cocktails were creative and well balanced. I’m so glad we have a place like this nearby. We will definitely be back soon!Update:We just went back because of our previous experience. I brought a group of 10 (all industry people). We spent over 1k as a group for my friend’s 40th bday. I raved about this place only to feel unwelcome in the end. A young female bartender tells us we were too loud. Honestly, we obviously had a lot to drink, but nobody was being reckless. We were told people were complaining. From a business standpoint you made us feel unwelcome in an establishment where we spent money. Take the $60 2 top who complained over what we spent there tonight? At least pull one of us aside instead of making a grand announcement. Chad you’re a great and talented owner, but train your staff how to talk to people. Just tell us, dont make a scene.“

“Met a friend here for dinner. I glanced at the menu before arriving & there were several tasty sounding items. My friend & I split the tuna poké with chips ? I ordered the Derby Burger which was mouthwateringly delicious. My friend ordered the Greek chicken with Naan which also looked yummy & my friend confirmed. Our waitress was training but she did a great job ?? I would be more than happy to return!“

“Great time!! My first time there but we had a blast! The band, Claremont Drive was playing! They were awesome! Their baby boomer music had us up and dancing all night long and they had a nice size dance floor. The food was good and everyone was wonderful and welcoming. Unfortunately I can’t remember the waitresss name but she deserves some kind of award. Apparently they had some people call off but our waitress ran around like she had a rocket in her pants. Took care of everybody in record time with a smile on her face and a good word for everyone. Hope I can be notified if Claremont Drive comes back!“

“Ordered pizza to go and food was good, took longer then I'd except to make a pie but It reflected in quality. Can't really speak of the service since it was to go order and the atmosphere seemed like a typical sports bar, nothing special but if you come for the food you won't be disappointed, worth stopping by if you're in the area and want a quick drink and some food“

“We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a pint and lunch. It was our first visit to Dunkley’s. Overall we are very satisfied with the food and felt very welcomed by bartender Suhei.I had the Spicy Crispy Chicken sandwich and it was delicious. My dining partner had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and loved it. Both sandwiches came with a mound of fries.I particularly appreciate Suhei’s ability to pour a “proper” pint of Guiness (20oz). She was patient and poured it the way Guiness is meant to be poured; with patience. Too many taverns that have draft Guiness do an awful job dispensing a pint. Suhei knows her stuff! For 3 pints and two sandwiches, the bill was just shy of $55. I think that’s good value for what we had.We will definitely be back!“

“We absolutely love Docs, they have amazing food, amazing drinks and THE BEST service. We’ve been there a dozen times and always had stellar service. Very recently we met their GM, Amber and it became instantly clear that the service was a direct trickle down effect from her leadership. Amber went way above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We recently got a new puppy and she made sure he had water and even chopped up some carrots for him which are his favorite. She was constantly talking to guests and moving people around the patio to ensure they had shade and were comfortable. Her dedication to guest service is truly refreshing and very rare in the post Covid restaurant industry. We will certainly be back again and again because of her.“

“Came in here for the first time in awhile. Sat down, and got some of the best service ive ever gotten ever. I look much younger for my age, so the bar owner was understandably cautious when i presented my ID. Once he realized i am the age i do not look. He was the friendliest guy, and everyone at the bar started talking, and joking like i was a regular. The food, drinks, and service is a 10/10. This place is everything a good irish pub should be.“

“Awesome food/drinks and service! Also just as awesome is the interior decor here, especially the ceiling and the top of the bar. How many places have the name and contact info of other businesses on the ceiling along with pennies under the glass top of a table? LOL That is so cool and unique!“

“The ribs were delicious! My fish and chips were eh. My husband liked their buffalo grilled chicken.Kid-friendliness: It wasn't really kid friendly. The high chairs are tiny. My just now 2 year old, who is pretty small, could barely fit in it.“

“The Wolf's Head is a great place for a quick bite or a larger meal. The service is friendly and accommodating, and the food is tasty. Something unique on the menu is the New Orleans Baked French Onion Soup; definitely a must try! They have a nice beer list, a good whiskey list, and the cocktails are well-made. On nice days they have a window-wall that opens to the outside, and they also have a patio on the west side of the restaurant. Felt like a good place to watch a game, too. Go check them out!“

“We came here for breakfast and we will definitely be back. The bartender - who was also our server - was friendly, efficient and attentive. My husband ordered the corned beef hash bowl and I ordered the Southern Benedict. The bowl had corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes, cheese and eggs, and a side of toast. The Southern Benedict was an english muffin topped with bacon, perfectly poached eggs and sausage gravy, with a side of breakfast potatoes.Everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned well, and right-off-the-griddle hot. Plus, the prices were quite reasonable. We will return to try some of the other dishes on the menu, and I would urge everyone else to do the same.“

“Went here on a Groupon on a Friday night - all you can eat fish fry. OBP was really busy but our waitress, Cindy, got to us reasonably quick. We had drinks, shortly afterwards we had an appetizer. The Groupon would not work with the all you can eat fish but the order was so big we couldn't eat any additional orders anyways. Reuben was good too. Prices were great. We will be back - ribs looked delicious.“

“Myrick's is the restaurant inside the Sheraton at O'Hare. We had dinner and lunch here during a training conference. Service was always pleasant, friendly, and efficient and the food good. Prices were very reasonable for a hotel restaurant at this location.“
“The bartender was excellent and very attentive to all the patrons' needs. When new people entered the establishment, they were warmly welcomed. We got our drinks right away, and the complimentary popcorn was a perfect touch. Thanks, Jill, for a great experience.“

“They only serve lunch only during the weekdays (no dinner and no weekends). However it is the best lunch around! It's like your mom went in the kitchen and made it for you. Soups are made from scratch and they are delicious. The BLT on rye is outstanding. And if they have it, you have to try the potato salad. This is a bar with a Northwoods atmosphere that has affordable prices but there are some tables to sit at. They also have a Friday fish special.“
