“My husband and I went to Bistro Nota a couple of weeks ago on a cold rainy Friday night. We went because one of the owners/chefs is Jake - formerly of Chop’s Wine Bar (when it was at it’s best). As is Jake’s forte, the the food was fabulous! We tried several different things. We ordered a bottle of the “house” red wine from their varied wine list. It was a great wine, far superior to what I expected from anyone’s house wine! The Pain et Fromage was delicious-Homemade Sliced Rosemary & Sea Salt Focaccia served with Roasted Pepper Cheese Dip. For dinner we tried their delicious Bistro Mac & Cheese - for an “a la carte” item it was a large portion. We ordered Low country Shrimp (GF) from the “small plates” portion of the menu - my husband doesn’t eat pork so they graciously omitted the bacon. We ordered Beef Teres Major entree -Petite Shoulder Tenderloin, Roasted Garlic Marinated, Potato Veloute, Sofrito with Grilled Focaccia. The staff is engaging, congenial & professional. The atmosphere is comfortable, urban, slightly industrial. We will go back to Bistro Nota again and again !!!“

“I didn't really take any pictures of this one because let's face it pictures of ice cream in a dish are just not that compelling. We tried the Turtle and Yippee Skippee ice cream flavors. Turtle was good as you would expect but as with many ice cream flavors with nuts in them, the nuts can get kind of soggy. That was the case with the turtle ice cream today. The yippee Skippy is a peanut butter-based ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels. It was pretty good. I enjoyed it. We would obviously try different flavors the next time we went and I would say overall it was a good experience.“

We recently visited Takaoka at the request of my son for his birthday, and it was hands down the best dining experience we have had there. “This is the only place in Fort Wayne to my knowledge that has sushi burritos. If you are a person that loves burritos and love sushi, this is your place. You can customize your burrito to have whatever you want in it just like chipotle. Instead of having Mexican flavors and meats, it's fish. Is the great place to go for lent if you are fasting from meats on friday. It is right off of coliseum. You can order online and it's pretty quick. The email told me to wait 20 minutes but I got a text within 10 minutes that I was ready. It's more for takeout but they do have places for people to sit if you want to eat there. Do you feel overwhelmed with making choices, they also have pre-selected choices for sushi burritos. They also do burrito bowls and they also do boba tea. If you're not into touching food for your hands the burrito bowl will be a good option for youParking: Kittle's furniture has a big parking lot next to it. But there's other stores that's the aa poke that takes up their parking. There is parking but it is a busy parking lot“

“This pizza place introduced us to Neapolitan pizza and we've been spoiled ever since. Friends of ours moved back here after living fairly close to NYC for many years. They decried the lack of good pizza. We told them about 800 Degrees; they say it reminds them of their favorite pizzas and maybe be even better. Though the pies aren't cheap the texture of the dough and quality of all the ingredients makes them worth every penny. They use only 00 flour from Italy and a wood fired oven just like the name suggests. Locally sourced meats and cheeses add to the love we have for this pizza restaurant.“
