Ekiben is incredible. The humor and skill is apparent in everything they do. Options can be ordered as a sandwich on a pillowy bao or as a box with rice and different pickled vedge (carrots, onions, etc). The neighborhood bird made them famous for a reason, not only is it massive, it's the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. It's crunchy and juicy and flavorful-- I cannot hype it enough. Truly incredible food. Unique flavors and super friendly and helpful staff. We got the neighborhood bird bowl and the same thing on a bun and I texted three different people about it while eating. It was that good. Absolutely a must visit if you're in the area. The art on the walls, cool music, and alley entrance only add to the already incredible experience. Looking for lunch? Stop, you found the best.

I don't generally eat fried foods but the fried chicken is at another level. Crispy and flavorful but doesn't taste greasy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not a lot of sit down space in the small joint. Everything else is top-notch. A neighborhood gem.
