Mount Everest has arrived to fit the bill.Don't be misled by the standard store front looking exterior. Step into a world of deliciousness. Absolutely outstanding. Some of the best Indian food (Nepalese) I have had in years.The food was stellar. The portions perfect for take home with enough for two follow on meals! Our waiter knew the menu exactingly and almost had the sense of love and respect for the meal. It was beautiful. He guided us for terrific choices and pairings.We even talked about how we kept thinking about how we couldn't wait to get to the leftovers.You will thank me... go have a great time. “Been here twice, once was years ago pre-pandemic and it was fabulous. We said we should come back here more often but never did… then the pandemic messed everything up and we went travel nursing. Now we’re back in town again… AND ITS STILL AMAZING. I got a jalfrezi, and hubby got tikka masala. The medium felt like a true medium, not whitewashed. Service was lovely. We were one of two couples who dined in, but looks like they have a busy takeout business. So glad they didn’t disappear in the pandemic like so many other places! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!“

“By far the best food and service in Baltimore! I always come in for the lunch buffet and the food is DELICIOUS! A lot of options and sometimes there is this special desert that is this doughnut drizzled with honey(?) which I love, and always have it with the complimentary Nepalese milk tea. Great options for vegetarians too.“

“Family Kitchen is a fantastic find in the heart of Perry Hall. It is located in the Festival shopping center, so parking is plentiful.The food and service are amazing.The staff are super friendly and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied, and are just friendly people in general.The lunch buffet is a great way to sample various items. The buffet line includes a nice variety of poultry, vegetable, and goat options along with rice, samosa, and other side items. There is also chai available at the buffet line which is delicious, as well as Gulab Jamun or other dessert option.The only downside to the buffet is that it is prepared for the masses, so if you enjoy your food with a kick of heat, you might find the food underwhelming in that regard. It is still delicious, though.Their menu is filled with Indian and Nepalese comfort classics that are perfectly prepared.The garlic Naan is fantastic, fragrant, and served piping hot. A perfect accompaniment to the meal.The dining room is spacious and can accompany larger parties. They also have a separate banquet room you can reserve for catered events.If you are looking for an Indian/Nepalese restaurant with a lunch buffet option served seven days a week, be sure to stop by Family Kitchen. “This place is Definitely a hidden gem! It's beautiful inside with wonderful atmosphere and decor. The food was fantastic, great flavors and perfectly made! We went here for my birthday, I had Lamb Korma (wonderful, the lamb was exceptional and so tender) and my partner had something with paneer that had the most wonderful smokey spicy flavor! We had wonderful appetizers and great tea too. I ordered Gulab Jamun as a desert treat and it was amazing, and the wonderful server was so sweet! She had caught that it was my birthday and came back to the table with another Gulab Jamun with a candle and sang me Happy birthday, it really made my day! We will absolutely be back!“
