“We had a belated birthday celebration and wanted to spend time catching up with a group of friends. The service was impeccable-not to fast paced that we felt rushed, but not to slow that our water glasses ran dry. The food was tasty - especially the Maryland crab soup.“

“Dwayne is the best server! Attentive down to earth and just all around great customer service example! If there’s an employee of the month recognition he deserves it; maybe the year! He is the reason we will patron Bertuccis in the future.“

“Truly the nicest human running this ice cream shop. And the ice cream is so tasty!! We walked in in a Sunday afternoon and no one else was in the cozy store, so we asked if we could taste every flavor. I'm vegan and from seattle, so felt like this might be my only chance. All their ice cream is vegan (cashew based), soy free, gluten free, and in an effort to keep sugars low, sweetened with dates. They obliged, and as we were tasting another customer walked in who joined in on the tasting party. Soon there were a handful more people. The baklava flavor was my favorite, the chunky monkey flavor had the perfect amount of banana flavor ("because we use real banana"), and the kulfi was a cardamom treat. The sweet potato pie was really impressive (because his son challenged him to make it into an ice cream flavor) and the horchata was the first flavor because his son had food intolerances as a baby. There were three or four flavors of cones you could get, and little premade ice cream sandwiches. If you can't make it to the scoop shop, this ice cream is available in Whole Foods in the wider area, and will be available for nationwide shipping in just a few weeks! I'm going to go into my local store and request that they carry it. Really cute shop, great ice cream, lovey humans. Would recommend!“

“Food was bomb! The food came out pretty quickly, and our waters were were always filled. The food came out hot and pretty quick and it was just so flavorful. It's pretty dim inside but still nice inside. Don't skip out on this place, you won't regret it.“

“Vegetarian options: Stopped in to get Easter dinner for my sister and nephew who are both vegan. I purchased crabcakes, spinach, and mushroom tarts, kale, Caesar salad, and several desserts. They raved about everything. My nephew kept saying how delicious it was.“

“Food was amazing…..wait time was less than 10 minutes despite being during the hours of brunch. Service was impeccable and my server was very attentive. I can’t wait until I come back to Baltimore and visit. I will definitely be coming back again.“
“I've been here several times with friends, and every experience has been great! Not only is the customer service fantastic (very attentive, willing to check in on you, knowledgeable staff, etc), they have a nice variety of liquor and wines that are easy to find in the shop based on region. Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember. What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes. Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area. In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him. P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it's good!“

“Sarah made a half sheet cake for my son’s graduation party and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious! We ordered a lemon cake with raspberry filling and a buttercream icing and everyone at the party LOVED it! I gave her free reign on the decorations and she did a great job, especially free handing the college mascot. Sarah was very easy to reach, worked with my tight schedule and the price was very reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend Plant Baked by Sarah! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“It's still really cool inside, booth style Markets. Many little tightly wound eating spots squished into a smaller space. Takes you back years . A neat own version of cross street market, Broadway Market etc.Parking: Parking is free on the lot. But however 2 hr time limit is enforced“

“Can it still be koshary without pasta, cumin or crunchy onions? No tomato sauce either. This must be an American version of the Egyptian street food.Filling and fun-just different than one wouldexpect.Chicken schwarma (which feels like saying beef vegetables) was an excellent chicken dish with a spiced sauce that made it rock!“

“We recently discovered Sweet 27, had driven by many times but never stopped. We were getting tired of our same favorite spots and decided to try something new. They did not disappoint! Family owned, which we love supporting. Food was very good and different things on the menu that I had not seen on other Indian restaurant menus. Vegan bakery is excellent! Highly recommend trying! One of the owners helped us so kind and warm.“

“I was visiting Baltimore, and this was the best place to eat from all the places we tried. There were three of us and we each got one of their sandwiches and they were delicious. They were super busy and there was a bit of a wait; however, since I was away from my typical life, I didn't mind waiting as much. I would think it could be hard to wait if you are super hungry. I loved the atmosphere of this place. It was great for lunch, not just for coffee.“

“I went with out-of-town guests who thoroughly enjoyed their meals. There were a few glitches along the way: one friend ordered a spinach salad and was served a mixed green salad instead; another ordered a local beer with his lunch which was forgotten until we asked one of the hosts to check on it; I ordered the same entree I usually order--the salmon alla bella.. Unfortunately, everything was just lukewarm and the spinach had so much garlic (and I love garlic) that it was almost inedible. I had to stop eating it after a few attempts. Nonetheless, I love Gertrude's and will return.“

“Probably the best pizza in baltimore. Completely old school, no pretentions. Best part has to be their dough - expertly fermented for a thin crust with lots of crumb. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Make sure you tip well - gems like this place are harder and harder to find in Baltimore.Parking: Plenty of parking in the lot out front just off belair rd.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, small curb but accessible.“

“Always a pleasant experience here! Yummy food, prompt and attentive service, and so many different ambiances throughout the restaurant to choose to sit in! I often forget of this place, cause it's off the beaten path, but am always delighted when I remember and go! Highly recommended!!!! Only downside is never enough parking. I don't want to be forced to do valet because there are no other spots. I had to tip for the kid to walk like 10 feet to get my car! Haha“

“OMG to think we almost didn't get in! Without a reservation on a Saturday night only a manager with great customer service skills could have made it happen. Our first time at Villagio, but definitely not the last. Food is absolutely delicious. If you haven't tried it yet, you're really missing out.“

“The service and atmosphere overall was okay. I gave them a three because the couple behind me was offered samples because it was their first time however I didnt receive the same hospitality as it was my first time as well. I ordered the vegan crab cake wrap, chick pea burger, vegan Mac and cheese, greens and chocolate chip cookies. The crab cake was flavorful, the sauce complimented the wrap and tastes just like crabmeat! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they used dark green vibrant lettuce on the wraps instead of non-nutritional iceberg lettuce. I would order every time! On the other hand the chick pea burger was okay although I must be upfront I ate it a day and a half later. The mac and cheese was okay, needed a little more seasoning and taste like nutrients yeast and macaroni noodles, nothing to write home about. A little bit of spice would have taken it to another level. The greens were basic with an after taste that I couldn't quite but my finger on, same for the cookies. They lacked moisture and taste like your average off brand cookie. The crab cake will call you back every time and for that they get a 4...it's that damn good!!!“

“This is an iconic place with the best of baked goods from tarts to croissants, tarte tatin, every French pastry. Delectable all. I don't get there often, but if you want choice, try to get there before 10. If I did go there often, you would not be able to get in because my body would be big enough to block the door!“

“I went to college years ago at Loyola just up the street from Alonso’s and remember it as an area institution, but I was very pleasantly surprised tonight when I had a dinner with friends that was just fantastic. The pizza was great, the crab and cheese topped tater tots were amazing, and the wings were crispy and tender. A wide selection of beers, including a good number on tap. Both the ladies working there tonight were totally Baltimore and a lot of fun. I thought it might be a little loud on a Saturday night, but the noise level was just fine for conversation at dinner. Note that around the back of the building which you can access from the street or alley on one side or the other, there’s a little parking lot with spots designated for Alonso’s and other nearby establishments. Be sure to stop and being mesmerized by the rotating tower of refrigerated cakes.Parking: Around the back of the building which you can access from the street or alley on one side or the other, there’s a little parking lot with spots designated for Alonso’s and other nearby establishments. “We stopped in here one evening to have dinner however it was absolutely packed and unfortunately all we could get was a couple of drinks and we had to move on it looked like the food was pretty good but who really knows unfortunately there are a lot of locals that pack this bar and it's very hard to get a seat we were a party of six and were unable to obtain a table.“

“I loveeee me some Atwater's and their Belvedere location is spacious and has quite a bit of outdoor seating. I tend to order over the phone for pick up and they're always polite and quick which is perfect for on the go! Just wish they would branch out into the white marsh area :)“

“I love this place. I usually get my signature Iced vanilla chai latte w/ almond milk and it's sooo good. the almond milk they use is great. My only complaint is there's rarely ever any snickerdoodle muffins. I've come a handful of times and 2 times were the only chance I was able to get my hands on one. I would say maybe make more if they're so popular or make more at two separate times. I usually don't get a chance to go during weekdays and only weekends and never get them on weekends. But lovely place a staff (:“

“Best cupcakes ever. Rich, yet light. Aesthetically pleasing, as each cupcake is a work of art. I tend to be frugal, but I do not mind treating myself to Cake because it is worth it. The cupcakes are a great alternative to a standard cake when you are trying to please a crowd that has various flavor preferences. I brought a dozen to a farewell party and they were a complete hit! The flavors and textures are unique. Also, for every single holiday, they have special cupcakes in celebratory colors to appropriately commemorate each occasion. So far, my all-time favorite cupcake is coconut with a graham cracker crust. It's exciting to not know which flavors they will have on offer. I enjoy being surprised and trying them all! The cupcakes freeze well. However, I think the cupcakes taste best when they are fresh. I prefer to eat them immediately and for breakfast the next day. If Cake had a membership I would eat more Cake. So it is probably better that, to my knowledge, they do not.“
