“Went in for our first visit during the first weekend of the NCAA Basketball Tournament and they were hopping right from noon on. The bar area is a great setup to watch games, staff and bartenders were excellent. We were there for about 8 hours so had a wide array of drinks, bar food, happy hour food, and sandwiches. Everything was good and is definitely the spot to watch games and grab something to eat.“

“I don't like the screen order board it's just a pain.was so glad I could just order at the counter. The young man was kind and very polite. I just really don't like McDonald's food my son and husband like their food. Bathrooms were clean and the drunk area look good. Other than it being expensive now not bad if you need to stop somewhere“

“Really cozy eatery with friendly staff. Came here for a quick breakfast and couldn't decide between the omelette or the French toast, so I got BOTH! Hahaha. The French toast was soft and moist on the inside (the soak it overnight so your not eating some dry piece of bread masquerading as French toast), the berries were fresh, and the syrup sweet without being overly sweet. Perfection. The omelette was delicious. The home fries were a mix of sweet potato and Idaho potatoes-yum! Overall, it was a great experience. Will be back for sure.“

“Great atmosphere, the people who work there are really friendly. The burgers are amazing! I got the Black and Blue, it was perfectly cooked, loaded with bacon, and had a delicious sauce. The fries and tots are great too, not too greasy and very flavorful. I would recommend Blazes to anyone who likes a good burger.Parking: Not a whole lot of parking spots on the street, may be tough to get a spot during busy hours.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butcher Burger, and my experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Hawaiian Burger, a culinary masterpiece that left me craving for more. From the first bite, I was transported to a tropical paradise of flavors. The perfectly grilled beef patty was juicy and succulent, complemented by the sweet and tangy pineapple slices that added a delightful tropical twist. The combination of crispy bacon, melted cheese, and the chef's special sauce created a symphony of tastes that danced on my palate. The attention to detail in every aspect of the meal was evident, from the fresh, high-quality ingredients to the expertly crafted presentation. The service was exceptional, with the staff displaying a genuine passion for providing a memorable dining experience. The ambiance of Butcher Burger added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. It struck the perfect balance between a cozy atmosphere and a vibrant energy, making it an ideal spot for casual dining or a special celebration. Whether you're a burger aficionado or simply someone looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Butcher Burger is a must-visit. The Hawaiian Burger is a taste sensation that will linger in your memory, and I can't wait to return to explore more of the menu. Five stars without a doubt!“

“Beer rotation is always dope. Will be going back for a burger because you can get one for less than $10. I'm not a burger aficionado but that sounds like a really good deal. Will update the review with burger info when it's available“

“We were nearby visiting my brother at his job and wanted some dinner. Found this place in a local search and the reviews were good. Inside the decor is nice. A mixture of booths, tables, and a bar. Very hip vibe (if I'm not too old to say that unironically). We were greeted right away and found a table. Service was attentive and very personable. Made some recommendations and then we dove into the menu. Good selection of American pub style food. Music was good and not too loud. Good came out in good time. The food was better than I expected. My mom had a haddock chowder which she and I both loved (I stole a spoonful). She split a cranberry walnut salad with me. It was tasty but over dressed. Would have been a lot better with less dressing. My Dad got the honey mustard wrap and he really liked it. He also got an espresso martini that he thought was just ok. I had the fish and chips. The fry on the fish was no joke. Thicker and crispier than I am used to but was so tasty and very well seasoned. It was so much I brought half home and ate it straight outta the fridge the next day and it was delicious. The star of the night were the fries. Seemed like a double fry method that again were so crispy and well seasoned. Delicious! Will for sure be back again if I find myself visiting family in Maine and want some great food in a friendly spot!“

“This place is a rare find. They are local folks in a sweet part of a Portland neighborhood right across from Morans market. It is very clean and the food is amazing. Their prices are fantastic and every day they have a few specials and a special drink. The service is also fantastic always served with a smile. This is a must try. Support local!!!“

“Came here with a big group (7) for dinner on a Friday night during the off season in early March. We were seated right away upstairs which was extremely convenient. We ordered a few of the mojito pitchers for all of us which were really good. Each of us ordered appetizers for ourselves. I got the sunchoke dip and the rock potatoes. The sunchoke dip was interesting and thick in texture. The flavor was okay but maybe missing a little spice. The rock potatoes were AWESOME, really well seasoned and the dipping sauce complemented it really well. Super cute vibe and watching the karaoke at night was a fun way to end the night!!“

“All the recent bad reviews of this business is the result of them being targeted by a private facebook group of antivaxers upset about the mandate. Most do not even live in Portland. Most running the group 1k strong are the same leaving the reviews. Feel free to DM me if you'd like the receipts or the names of the people going after you.“

“The location is great for the downtowners who need an easy bite or drink after work. It's a bit out of the way for me, so I normally would have to come here with purpose and intention. The burgers are great. They remind me of my greasy-spoon days in Chicago where burgers were no-nonsense, done right, and inexpensive. No need for poncy crap like foie gras or truffles or three additional exotic animals stacked on top. Nice interior space. Walk-in seating still possible on weekends, with a fairly decent turn-around.“

“This place is exactly what I was looking for after a weekend in Portland visiting breweries. The service was fast and friendly and all of our food was delicious. We had the Cajun Scramble and Sausage Scramble along with the cornbread. There were three of us so we each tried a different flavor as they have blueberry, plain, and jalapeño cheddar. You could tell everything was cooked to order and prepared well. The dining room is active with workers and customers and the walls are colorful and decorated with local art. I would definitely return when back in the area.“

“Solid spot. Bit of a dive, bit of a sports bar, bit of a pub. Good wings, tenders, and burgers, and a nice beer list to match. Little parking lot out front is convenient, and there's usually a seat inside even when it's crowded. Fries can be a little soggy and wish their cheap beers were a bit cheaper, but otherwise a great neighborhood spot.Definitely try the sweet spicy chili sauce if you go for the wings!“

“This is a hard one. A mixed bag. I ordered a special. Bad news: it was truly awful. Good news: waitress quickly replaced it with another dish. So it worked out fine. My companion was happy with his burger and beer. Wait staff there are most typically delightful.“

“My wife and I go to Freeport once in a great while so we try to find something new and boy did we find a gem. Nighthawk's Kitchen is off the beaten path, in the same area as the Shaws Plaza and located next to Mast Landing Brewing Company. You could miss it because it's a small space, but the food packs a punch (in a good way). The interior has seating for approximately 16. They have low and a couple high tables. They have a beverage cooler on the left, some business merchandise, a warmer for their breakfast on-the-go options and some confections sugar items leading up to the front desk. My wife and I were met by one of the staff who graciously opened the door for us. He provided us with a menu, said we could sit anywhere and offered us glasses of water while we browsed the menu. My wife ordered the Green Chile cheeseburgers which has hatch New Mexico green chilies and American cheese on a potato style role. She LOVED it as it brought back memories of her time in New Mexico. The owner did tell us that he get's all his green chiles directly from New Mexico through a vendor he has worked within when Nighthawk's was originally in New York. I had the BBQ burger which has bacon, bbq sauce, onion straws and I substituted vegan cheese in place of cheddar for dietary reasons. We also ordered a small fly for us to split. First off, I wasn't kidding when I said the food packs a punch. My burger was a smash burger style with great caramelization on the edges of the burger. One of the best burgers I have had in quite some time and my wife agrees hers was as well. The fries are hand cut, shoe string style. They par cook them in olive oil and then finish them in canola oil. They sprinkle salt and pepper on them and I ate them like I was eating popcorn till it was gone. Nighthawk's Kitchen looks and feels like a hole in the wall style restaurant and they are, but I enjoyed every minute of the atmosphere, customer service and the food. This would be a great spot for a future Yelp Elite event as they do offer alternative options. It may be a smaller menu than some, but there is no need to overload a menu that is already great to begin with. HIGHLY recommend trying!“

“Staff is super friendly every time I come in or drive through. Service is fast and accurate. Food is pretty good as far as Burger King food goes, and the place is kept clean. The property itself may need a few updates, but I don’t dine in so I hardly notice that. If you like Burger King food, then I strongly recommend this place!“

“The burgers are LIFE. The delicata squash salad is outstanding. It is surprisingly hard to find great onion rings in the area and these are by far the best I've had. So so so good. We did pickup and found the staff to be very very friendly. Food was hot, ready on time, and generous portions. We will be back (probably tomorrow to be honest!). Really hope they're here to stay!“
“I have been coming here by whole life. I used to walk here to get my Nana her Dilly Bars. For 45 years when I am in South Portland I always stop here for delicious ice cream. Their quality has never changed and the service is quick from friendly faces. All of my seven kids and seven grandkids will back me up.“

“Great spot for lunch. Good selection of sandwiches, chips, drinks, and candy. I got a HUGE large BLT with an iced tea. I grabbed a seat, which was clean and tidy, and ate in peace. Very close to New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland. Highly recommended for lunch. Lots of parking available and super friendly staff.“

“Ordered two fries, one Cajun, one regular and we got a giant pile of mostly cajun fries, but they were indistinguishable from the regular. Everything tasted fine and I really liked the veggie sandwich. Great option. The shake is a must have if you can handle the dairy, too.“

“These guys are amazing! We get both pizza's and sandwiches delivered relatively frequently. Once they know your order, they'll call you back to make sure you ordered it correctly, had you ordered it differently before! Sandwiches and thin crust pizza are outstanding! Great friendly owners and staff! A pleasure to do business with!“
“Visited while on vacation in Portland. It was one of the only places we could get into on a busy Sunday night. Just a casual bar to enjoy drinks and a quick bite with standard bar food. Cheeseburger and fries were good and service was excellent. I would recommend for a lowkey dinner or drink in the area.“

“The menu pictures and food brought to our table were of no comparison. Food itself was mediocre at best. For example...the brisket sandwich was a thin grilled cheese with a few pieces of meat...so underwhelming. The turkey dinner...well..the turkey was of the pressed luncheon kind...again...disappointed. Do not, I repeat, do not order the coffee...wet socks...wet. socks.“

“BEST ONION RINGS!I love onion rings and think Harmon’s serves the best in Cumberland County. Their burgers are good, too, but I’d definitely order the double patty. Take out only. Picnic tables on site.Kid-friendliness: A great family spot because it’s inexpensive, and they offer food the whole family loves!“
