“Fun place , but this pirates ☠️ ship has sailed. Good food good service and great entertainment. Also it's a good thing this ship sits in the parking lot cause it doesn't look sea worthy!Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome when accompanied by adults. It is a Pirates Patio at the edge of the ⛱️.Parking: WALNUT ST IS A SHORT STREET WITH FREE PARKING. MOST OF THE EAST AND WEST GRAND STREET PARKING IS PAY. “Had a dress suit on and she gave us the drinks and the coffee cup had a leak she even told us that, and spilt all over my dress pants. Was not happy and of course another dry cleaning. Next time serve hot drinks in a good cup better yet dont tell me your sending it to“

“Last month our flight to Portland was delayed a considerable amount of time due to weather issues and it looked as though we would not be able to make our 5p.m. reservation. My daughter called from the tarmac in Boston where we were rerouted and refueled and explained the situation. The hostess, Susie, was very understanding and compassionate And said that even though our table was booked for another party a 7, we should come in and she would see what she could do. We got there late but Susie greeted us warmly and told us not to worry about being rushed that she had arranged things so no one would be inconvenienced. The atmosphere was warm and cozy; the food so very delicious and our waitperson, Anika, was the best. Atmosphere, impeccable service, food and warmth all rate 5 stars and another visit next time we are in Portland.“

“My last trip to Portland I had to make a stop here twice! They have every donut of your dreams and the house made sausage on their breakfast sandwich was phenomenal. I also got an oat milk maple steamer that was just the right amount of cozy. It's a 'must stop' donut shop if you're going to Portland!“

“Bold statement incoming: I would say that the iced pistachio latte ("made it vegan, just ask") with oat milk is one of the three best caffeinated drinks in the entire state of Maine. If you're a lover of pistachio - the actual nut (or ice cream) and not the artificial flavor of it - it's an absolute guarantee that you'll love this drink too. It's creamy, it's nutty, it's sweet without being too sweet. Perfection, really. I'm sorry it took me so long to finally try it - I just genuinely didn't think they could make it vegan. Not only can they, they also make it VERY CLEAR on their menu/signage at the register that they can. (I love places that are making it easier and more clear and more of a comfortable process for those of us who want to order plant-based. “we were SHOOK at how fresh, fluffy, and pillowy these donuts were. they come out piping hot in minutes and all the flavors we tried were wonderful. smaller than we expected (all mini donuts!) but honestly very worthwhile. the cashier was super sweet and took great care of us! our favorite flavor was the cookies and cream!!“

“We had a brief one night stop on our Maine roadtrip. Asked recommendations about local beer place in our dinner spot The Highroller Lobster. Girl pointed to the Maps. We had one beer each, but the bartender knew milliliters (which is odd and great at the same time). The Commodores LP was spinning and fullfilling Tuesday's eve experience. I am from Lithuania, so I did not liked the map with soviet union, even I understand this is a piece of history, but it should be hanging in restroom or somewhere in less respectful place. Great beer and atmosphere overall.“

“I stopped in to the Knitting Nook today and WOW. Lisa makes the best Italians I’ve ever had in my life! Her homemade pickles are so delicious. Along with the herb sauce she adds to the Italian. I’ll never go anywhere else for an Italian again. It’s a cozy environment and Lisa was incredibly welcoming. Best kept secret is the Knitting Nook!“
