“We had a fabulous meal at The Chef and Gardener. It is such a cute place....decorated very nicely. We were greeted immediately. The choices on the menu were hard to chose from....but the two meals we chose were OUTSTANDING. We had to try 2 different desserts which were also incredible. We Will Be Back!!“

“Our server Kurt was so attentive and kind and made our evening out to celebrate a very special experience! The seafood stew wasn't exactly what we expected, we found the Thai broth flavor to be a bit overwhelming but the seafood was cooked perfectly! The halibut main dish was amazingly delicious, the scallops literally melted in my mouth and the doughnuts (as always) were heaven! We will definitely be back!“

“Really enjoyed my experience at Bandaloop. The food was fantastic I had the carrot soup and wilted spinach salad as well as the Kailua fudge brownie for dessert. They were somewhat busy when I arrived and seemed to be serving a lot of tables, even midweek. So I would say to expect that and possibly make a reservation. Overall a good experience and nice atmosphere.“

“I have walked past this place dozens of times on my numerous trips to OOb. My youngest found this online when searching for a good burger... They do not take reservations, it is small inside so best to go during an off time. We were seated upstairs. Waitress and service was top notch. Drinks were great and the food was outstanding. If you want a sit down dinner this is in my opinion the best option on the pier.“

“My family went in for brunch and it was good food! The service was great and the atmosphere inside was really lovely. Definitely a nice restaurant. We got the crab cakes for appetizers and they were really delicious. I did bite down on a bone inside. For my entree, I got the Atlantic salmon with garlic and ginger mashed potatoes. It was delicious! The rest of my family got the cheddar burger, linguini with seafood and poblano cream sauce, and the spaghetti with meatballs.My mom got the Mark’s mule and it was delicious!I think the presentation could be heightened a little in comparison to how nice the restaurant is. There also were no vegetarian options outside of the appetizer-sized salads.Overall, we had a good time!“

“Squaretoes is without a doubt my favorite breakfast restaurant. Such a cheery,cozy place with amazing food and very reasonable prices. Corn beef hash is the best I have ever had! Waitresses Kellie and Korin are awesome! I can not recommend this place enough. If you are ever in the area definitely stop in. You will not be disappointed..“

“What a great find! Booked a table after reading the reviews. The meal was perfect, the new to us cocktail was potent and delicious, the servers were amazing, the owner was gracious. “Our first visit and we’re impressed with quality of the food, and eclectic choices. Waiter was polite and attentive. It has a nice local vibe, but I bet that during the summer that changes. We will be back!“

“Every time I go to a new city I try to find a nice place to have a cigar and relax. This place is JUST the spot for that. You can have coffee or liquors depending on what you want with your cigar, and the people are lovely. Wonderful atmosphere and the perfect way to kick off a vacation.“

“We ate there on St. Patrick’s day . We were seated upstairs and it was really nice and cozy . Service was great . We started with the onion ring appetizer. Delicious. We both had the corned beef dinner . It was a huge portion and really good . Fork tender ! Best I have ever had . The chef sent up 2 servings of mashed potatoes to us . The waitress said he felt the potatoes with the meal weren’t enough . They were but it was a really nice of him . Also delicious. Stout chocolate cake and an ice cream sandwich for dessert. Fabulous. Thanks for making our St. Patrick’s day so great . The food here is really outstanding.“

“Every time I come up to Old Orchard Beach, my family and I stop here! It's no frills, but a solid, straightforward meal. Everything is reasonably priced with portions that will leave you full. Once you walk in, you feel like you've been transported back in time. Old school decor, your classic American restaurant. On the menu, they have an option for a 3-course meal. They have various options to choose from for a fixed price! It's great . My only complaint about it is that they used to have steamers as an option for an appetizer in the fixed 3 course meal, and it is no longer included. I decided on clam chowder, Caesar salad, and stuffed shrimp. I enjoyed the salad, and the stuffing for the shrimp was buttery and rich, but the clam chowder was terrible. No flavor at all and extremely watery broth. Would never get that again. Overall, enjoyable sit down, family restaurant, and will be back next year!“

“Good service and good food. I've been here a few times and it's certainly a little different every time. We went on Monday so they had trivia starting at 6. Because of this it was a little rowdy, but a nice time overall.Parking: There are parking spaces right in front of the resteraunt, but it is also in a shopping center so you can always park near the grocery store and walk over if you really needed to.“

“This is a hard one. A mixed bag. I ordered a special. Bad news: it was truly awful. Good news: waitress quickly replaced it with another dish. So it worked out fine. My companion was happy with his burger and beer. Wait staff there are most typically delightful.“

“After covid I don't like dining out much. But we had a wonderful experience at 50 local. Service was top notch, pleasant experience as soon as we entered. We weren't rushed through our dinner. Arrived at 5:30 and left at 8:30. Now we are still not in peak season so not sure if that will change during the summer. Our dinners all came at the same time! And all were hot! Not warm, not cold all hot! The background music was classic rock, which us 60+ like! This is the type of dining I missed and I'm so happy I decided to leave my stomping grounds and venture over to the next town to dine! I'll be back! Keep up the great work!!!“
