I wondered why the server looked at me so oddly when I asked for a refill on my diet Pepsi. My glass wasn't completely empty, and she looked at me like I needed "to finish" my first glass. But then I got the check and was charged for 2 drinks: $5 (for a diet cola with 1 refill, both heavily iced). I believe in supporting local businesses whenever possible, but I won't be back here again. (And yes, I had dinner. My total check was close to $40) $2.50 for a soft drink, and $2.50 for a refill is absurd. I have been coming here for several years, and I have brought friends. Won't Be Back!

The food is good, Went when it was a little busy so the wait was kind of long to get the entrees. Also ordered a sandwich without tomatoes but it came with tomatoes. So if you have any food allergies just be extra careful. I recommend the club sandwich.Vegetarian options: Several labeled vegetarian options on the menu.Parking: Free street parking and a free parking lot across the street with others nearby.

Excellent meal & service. The grilled pork chop was wonderful. My wife said the shrimp & grits were the best she had ever tasted. Bleu cheese slaw was a tasty treat.Mom loved the pot roast. We were tickled to find this jewel in Canton.
Excellent food and outstanding service! Chenders with bourbon bbq sauce were so good with great onion rings. So glad to have found this hidden gem in Canton!

Burger was soggy which was surprising because they forgot the bbq sauce that was it's namesake. It was also closer to rare when I ordered medium. We also ordered the bbq hush puppies that came with 5 TINY pieces for like $13. Wife got the shrimp grits, and those were pretty good. Overall, not a great experience

This is absolutely the best restaurant in town. I’d wager to say it’s the best in WNC… Do yourself a favor and give these fine folks a chance to serve you with great food, great drinks, and even better staff. Top notch from the front of the house, to the bar, kitchen, waitstaff, and management. I am a local business owner myself, and it’s our hometown communities that keep us going. BTW, Beck is AWESOME!!!
This was completely random. We were driving back home from Tennessee and wanted lunch. Let me tell you, the service was awesome. Everyone was so nice. The food is top notch. The pimento cheese is some of the best I have ever had, second only to Augusta National. Shrimp and grits were absolutely in my top 3 of all time. Fried okra lightly breaded and cooked nicely. My daughter had a Caesar salad grilled cheese and fries. She enjoyed it thoroughly. Next time we go to Tennessee it will be a designation stop for us. It was a great way to end our vacation!

My neighbors have lunch together once a month and today we ate at Southern Porch. The menu is large and varied enough for everyone’s taste. The food was great as was the service. I believe our waiter’s name was Hayden.
