“We showed up after work with no reservation and got seated immediately. Staff were very friendly and professional. The food was amazing. We tried both of the vegetarian rolls and they were probably some of the best we’ve ever had. Very flavorful and not bland like most vegetarian rolls at other places. I also tried the poke bowl. It tasted amazing and it was packed with ingredients. Their chili garlic noodles and their sweet and sour tofu sounded amazing, but I guess that will have to wait for next time. For drinks we only had the Sapporo, but we’re excited to try their cocktails next time.“

It was probably the least stressful part in planning our wedding. The atmosphere was so cute and inviting. During the event, we felt very taken care. Not to mention, the food was fresh, delicious and enjoyed by everyone. If you are looking to book an event, this is your place for a stress free and yummy event!“

“This cocktail bar has so much space which is nice. They do not really have a front facing appearance which can make it hard to find but just trust yourself and go in. They have three main seating areas including one on a second floor. The inside was cozy. They do live music sometimes on the weekends and that does change the cozy vibe so just check ahead depending on what you’re looking for. There isn’t a parking lot so we park in a nearby deck.“

“This place is timeless. The interior is cozy and has plenty of seating options (big tables, small tables, barstools, those old timey school desks with a mini side table). They don’t have much in terms of “real food” but the baked goods are very good (from Ninth Street Bakery). Then of course, there’s the coffee. I almost always go for a latte or cappuccino - the espresso is rich and smooth and without a hint of bitterness- but they also have classic brewed options from local roasters. Once you’ve had a lavender eye opener from here you’ll never go back to those Big Coffee chains.Dietary restrictions: Soy / almond / oat milk options“

“Very nice indoor and outdoor seating, though you may get bit by something outside. Had a beer, pint for $8, pretty light nothing special. My friend enjoyed her burger with sweet potato fries and their spicy bloody Mary a lot. The biggest thing that stood out was the waitress (Amber?), who was super kind, patient, attentive, and personable.“

Weaver Street Market Pet Friendly • $$
101 E Weaver St, Carrboro

“This is the store I want to love, but frankly, while it is a good meeting place, it's a bit overpriced for regular shopping (even higher than Whole Foods for regular packaged goods). I think they'd be more profitable and a better store if they became more price aware. The bakery is excellent, and wine selection is decent. They also have a good selection of local organic produce (which I dont mind paying up for).“

“We brought our puppy. The outside was great. There were more sheltered areas and more open areas. Areas with all different levels of shade. They are very pet friendly. The food though. I feel like I've been eating cardboard - the food is so flavorful and fresh. The house sauce is amazing. But even better than their outdoor space and food is the service. Our waiter Wayne was incredibly friendly and helpful. It's our first time in the area and he put us right at ease.“

“My wife and I stayed at an inn nearby and ordered a pizza for her to pick up. The pie was ready when promised, hot fresh and delicious! My wife loves extra cheese and rarely do our usual places give enough to make her happy but Amantes was perfect. The other ingredients were cut and distributed just the way we like and the crust was marvelous. I just wish that they had a restaurant near where I live!“

“I recently went to Tandem with a friend whom I hadn’t seen in many years. From start to finish, it was a great experience. Our waiter Brad was fantastic - friendly and engaging, attentive but not hovering. He gave us suggestions on food and drinks, and we enjoyed everything we had. There was great attention to detail - water glasses always full, food was hot, etc. This is in contrast to another popular local restaurant I went to recently where the food was similarly good but the service very subpar (even rude at times). In addition to the food, the service really makes the experience memorable. It was a great start to my friend’s first time in Carrboro. We will be back!“
