“We went for my husband's birthday mid-afternoon. The food was great and the buffet had a great selection of vegan food. Vegan and gluten free foods were labeled. The servers were very attentive and gave us free wine and dessert. They also sang happy birthday and offered to take our picture!“

“Oh my god it is AMAZING! I got the sweet potato and oat milk lattee made with actual sweet potatoes and it is the best coffee drink I’ve ever had! Not too sweet. The croissants are amazing and they have fresh pumpkin rolls the size of actual pumpkins. The rosemary sweet potato scones looked good too!“

“Visited The Parlour ice cream shop on a Saturday night in February and was impressed! Despite the line extending outside, the friendly staff efficiently managed it, and we got our ice creams within 15 minutes. I tried the Girl Scout mint flavor, and it was excellent! They also offer complimentary water and cups to cleanse your palate after indulging in their sweet ice creams. Great service and delicious treats – definitely worth the wait!Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan and allergy free options. Also has lactose pills available for $0.50Parking: Since it is downtown might have to park in a parking garage and walk.“

“One of the best atmospheres in Durham. I moved here, did not know a soul, and have made some of the best friends I’ve ever had in my life thanks to this establishment. The staff is wonderful, and I always feel like I belong. They know a ton of the patrons by name making it a very comforting environment. The ciders are fantastic, and for those who aren’t as inclined to ciders, there are plenty of other drinks like pilsners, ipas and cocktails.“

“This farmers market is our family’s favorite to visit!! It’s extremely family friendly. They have live music and food trucks, plus all of the delicious produce and pastries for sale. Big bonus is that it’s near a park for the kids to play after we’re done shopping. Everyone is always so friendly. It never disappoints!“

“Great service. Great coffee smell. The waffles are better than the waffles at Waffle House. This place reminds me of Central Perk (The Coffee House On Friends). The atmosphere has a cozy feeling.“

“India Gate has become a special place for me. The food is incredible. The spices and seasonings are curated per dish to absolute perfection, while the portions are plentiful and flavor packed. Every bite gets better throughout the meal. The only disappointment I have is that unfortunately, every meal must come to an end, and I'm left wanting to order more! The staff is extremely pleasant and courteous. I cant say enough great things about this place, I'm so glad they opened right up from where I live! “I can not recommend Linda’s Vegan Bakery enough! Every cake for every celebration has exceeded my expectations. Not only are her cakes beautiful but they taste as good as they look and people are always commenting they can’t believe it’s vegan. Ms Linda is so accommodating which is rare with Vegan bakers.“

“This bakery is truly a Durham delight. I had my first date with my partner here two years ago and we’ve been coming regularly with an amazing experience every time since. Their service is so good, the people are fun, talented bakers with warm and friendly vibes, and the atmosphere is so cozy. The food and pastries are always delicious and feel like a home cooked meal. We had the octopus special with daikon slaw and the beef filet with wild mushroom demi. Both entrees were cooked and presented beautifully. “We received the best service from Mariah this Sat. It was a party of 25 guests, she serviced use with 100% customer service. the food was great and we were leaving a funeral which was a bad day for all, we left feeling a littler lighter, due to the our server. She is a GEM.“

“Cosmic is my favorite takeout spot in Durham. As a vegan, there aren’t many that deliver on flavor and filling but that’s not an issue with Cosmic.A few weeks ago as I was picking up my order to go I realized there was a door to a roof and it blew my mind. I got the chance to come back with my partner and we enjoyed our burritos in the sun on the roof and had an amazing time.My go to order is this:Vegetarian burrito: beans rice pico guacNo sour cream or cheese.Vegetarian options: Great veggie options with vegan chorizo if that’s your styleDietary restrictions: They’re great at identifying vegan options on the menu and clearly list vegetarian things as well“

Service, drinks, food were top notch.Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area. While Boxcar may have decent pizza, this place has a FULL and delicious menu.
