“If you just PCS from Japan and your looking for that grade AAA+ Sushi ? and or Sashimi. Then you need to come here. I have been all over Jacksonville and Surf city looking for that QUALITY Sashimi. They all FAILED me ?. However, I was impressed with this place. They know me very well. Ask for the Salmon Sashimi only 6 orders of 3. With vegetables ? tempura. It’s to die for. The price is perfect and once again. The food is spot on.“

“The only negative thing I can say was that the staff seemed overwhelmed when I showed up. Despite, a bit more of a wait for service than I would prefer, the food and sake was outstanding. It was an unusually cold day for this time of year so I got the hot sake, which was much needed. I decided to go with the unagi roll (my personal go to) and the "Girl on Fire" (Flaming Hot Cheetos dust on sushi? ). Let me tell you that both rolls were perfect. However, I later tried their Yummy Yummy Roll, and wish I had ordered that first. Here's a picture of the Girl on Fire and Dragon Roll.“

“We ate here today for an Easter and 13th Birthday celebration and couldn't have been more satisfied and grateful! Kenny is amazing!!!! I am sure everyone that works there is awesome but we had Kenny and another extremely friendly waiter and they were incredible! The food was perfect and the service was impeccable. “I love Japanese food, especially hibachi, and Hakata Japanese Steakhouse is hands down the best Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. I've traveled the world and every country I visit, I eat Japanese sushi and hibachi. I can honestly say no one can beat Hakata in taste, sauces, service, fun, entertainment, or friendly atmosphere. My family and I say every other Japanese steakhouse is NAGAH compared to Hakata. NAGAH means Not As Good As Hakata! I always by pints of Hakata salad dressing and mustard sauce to take home. No one has ever mastered Hakata's secret sauces recipes. I give Hakata an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.“
