“If you are not watching your calories, Smithfield's is a fabulous place to eat. BBQ or fried chicken with sides of corn, Brunswick stew, fries, hush puppies, cole slaw. How can you go wrong. Chicken is fresh and hot and battered just right. BBQ is moist and flavorful. Great tea and banana pudding! This is good food and they give you great portions Can't go wrong !!“

“I'll make this a short review / my wife and I along with another couple went on 3/4/24 arrived around 4pm. We had not been to local's in some time. So here it is. Service was fine! Food was very good, and we all had something different. Beer very cold! Our server " Amy I think " who seems to be kind of a do it all gal here, was great, helpful and quick to refill drinks. All in all for a small local bar as good as it gets!!!“

“I was able to take my little guy here for his birthday dinner. It had been such a harsh day, but Rhonda’s friendly nature and going above and beyond was just what I needed. She added whipped cream to my son’s waffle and even got him a hat. She made him feel special and we had a good time. The food was delicious as well. Thank you, to Rhonda for everything.“

“My first time at this location. I enjoyed the atmosphere and design here. I was seated and placed my order quickly however, the server didn't return during the meal to offer beverage refill or to check on things. When I requested the check and water to go she promptly placed the check on the table but it was awhile to receive the water to go.My meal was delicious.“

“Wife and I had dinner here before a show at the Thalian Theater. We were quite impressed. Being from Pensylvania, we liked the Philly sports memorabilia. The food was great along with the service delivered by our server Mary Hannah.Awesome night in Wilmington with a great dinner and show. Oh yeah, I had the roast beef sandwich that Guy Fieri raved about on his show. Wife had the fish and chips. Both dishes were incredible. We will be back.“

“I love Cape Fear Seafood and have been many times. This was my first visit to this particular location. I ordered the Fresh Catch Tacos, which were made with grilled Haddock, and they were delicious! They don't have any kind of salsa to offer, but they do come with a Mango Pico de Gallo, which was good, but I prefer a little heat.I sat at the bar and had fantastic service.“

“We had a great dining experience along with our 2 pre-school aged kiddos. We called 30 mins in advance to try to make reservations. They took our name and number and suggested to be added to the waitlist which helped cut down our wait time when we arrived. Service was excellent and food is delicious. Would highly recommend the Crab Cakes and the Fisherman’s Stew. This place is a gem and looking forward to coming back!“

“Food was delicious, and the atmosphere was as expected for a brewery. The service was slow going and drinks weren't refreshed without asking but it could've just been a dud server. It happens. Talk about a tough Food choice to make! Everything on the menu sounded delicious but I ended up going with a burger. It was cooked exactly as requested and the sweet potato fries were bomb. Very affordable for a family of 4. We ate well for just under $60. Would definitely go here again.Parking: Due to location, street parking is limited to meter or city parking garages.“

“We had 4 guests, 1 of which was pescatarian. We decided as a table on the chefs tasting menu and informed our server about that particular guests dietary preference. When each meal came out, when possible, they provided a pescatarian variation of the dish and notified the table which plate was pescatarian. The service was phenomenal; they were attentive and very accommodating. Every course was delicious“

“This is my fave restaurant for a special night out in Wilmington, so when it came to choosing where to have my birthday dinner, it was a no brainer. An hour before the reservation, my babysitter had to cancel suddenly. I called the restaurant to ensure it was ok if my 2 year old joined and they assured me it was. I cannot stress enough how WONDERFUL the staff and chef were- even making himButtered noodles and giving him a condiment cup of his favorite - cherries! I was so stressed going into it but had no reason to be at all! Insanely good food and the kindest ppl. Thank you all so much.“

“Complimentary biscuits were soft and delicate. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious. The octopus was cooked perfectly and so tender! The ribeye was seared to a perfect medium rare. The duck fat fingerlings weren't what I imagined, but still very good. Finally the banana pudding dessert was exceptional!! Service was top notch! Rice lager was a nice beer to have with meal. Definitely try this place!! You won't be disappointed“

“What a fun day! We used the parking lot and one we had that parking app downloaded, off we went! It was just a short walk over to this historical restaurant with the most beautiful old real wooden floors and we got a great booth! It wasn't busy for lunch and the waiter was wonderfully friendly! Hubby tried the BBQ Clam Chowder and it was loaded with clams with just a hint of bbq in a delicious homemade cream based sauce not too thick at all! He also got the burger cooked perfectly and I got the linguini and calamari! I'm Still thinking about what a great day it was as we left and car toured the old huge historical beautiful buildings down the block before leaving Wilmington! Not too far from MB and a refreshing change from Charleston, but with a lot of similar good vibes!“

“My teenage sons wanted to go to a roof top to eat and watch the view. The place is very nice, fancy style very casual, wonderful view and outstanding service. Staff will make anything to make you feel cozy (and warm as it was chilly!) Recommending the Brussels sprouts (delicious) and the Purple hear cocktail! Goes with the mood there ?. No need to say my sons enjoyed the food and the place! So double win!“

“This is a strange review. Why? The overall rating is higher than the individual segment. Why? The beef tartare! The STAR of the night. The lemon puree brightened the dish and married the flavors of the pickled fennel, black garlic aioli, capers, and smoked trout roe. The beet tartare was also a treat. The candied pecans played well with dill sour cream and apple vinaigrette the mustard and capers brought a briny flavor that leveled out the sweet notes, but the smoked goat cheese brought them all together. The oysters were interesting, with vodka sauce parmesan bread crumb. The Blackened Shrimp & Grit Grits lead creamy stone ground grits. The seared greens tasted as though they were blanched before they were seared. The ratio of celery root and sunchokes to shrimp was more on the veggies side. I ordered a side of black eyed peas and collards. The collards were cooked well. I like a more vinegary collard. There was a sweetness that looked to level off the vinegar taste. The sweet was a little much for me. The black eyed peas were fresh and bright. I like mine cooked a little longer, but you could taste the farm to table on these. The sides came out at the end of completing my entree, which was not ideal. The server seemed nervous at the beginning of the service. Warmed up towards the middle and got swamped with tables at the end of our service. My wife had the pork chop, i didn’t try it. I knew better. She didn’t offer like she usually does? The seating was tighter than my liking, but the parties closest were very considerate, we all keep or volume down.Vegetarian options: Lions mane steak & beet tarts, butternut hummus“

“We always have the best experience and food at Walk-ons but I have to say that Cam makes it that much better! He checks on us all the time but the big part is we have a 6 year old son and he makes sure he’s happy! Every restaurant needs a Cam!“

“I have unfortunately been blessed with several severe food allergies. The chef created a meal for me from scratch that was out of this world and had all my friends wanting my food. The food had so much flavor and the BBQ sauce is crazy good. I have been to many restaurants that just say, "Sorry, we do not have anything for you". But not here... amazing food, great atmosphere and one phenomenal chef!!! Thank you for an amazing meal!!!“

“Cool spot. You can grab a seat in the Alcove brewery area and order food next door and they bring it to you. I ordered a beer and got my food. Everything was amazing. Only issue is the service was minimal. I had to go back and ask for cutlery and wave to get my check for my one beer, while only 2 others at the bar. We all have off days in the service Industry though. Can't wait to revisit.“

“The cafe is part of the art museum and what a treat it was for our visit. There was a large party of lovely ladies speaking French, a smattering of children visiting with their mothers, and a few other visitors such as ourselves enjoying the lovely fall Wilmington weather and the lunch fare available. You really must go if you are in the Wilmington area. It is a wonderful experience for young and old alike.“

“River front dining on a windy day can be tricky but our lunch was pretty good and eating with our well mannered pup was worth it. Appreciate how the staff took care of each other by tackle order taking, food arrival, and check ins on our table being completed by three different people. Wife had the shrimp platter, daughter the party melt, and I had the salmon club. Even for a busy afternoon the food came out quick! The ranch was flavorful which is a plus when having well seasoned and cooked crinkle fries. All food was cooked properly and tasty. They even brought us a to go container with water for the pup! Sure that when the weather is more suitable this place is even better.“
“I would like to thank the staff at the City Club for making my stay here a wonderful experience! They were very helpful and hospitable. “Diane and I went out for dinner in recent weeks and I have to say it was a truly unique wonderful experience. The service and food was spectacular, so much so that I didn’t think about how expensive the meal was. I think the company helped soften the blow. Anyone looking for the best filet mignon in town town this is the place to go true blue butcher and barrel is a lot more intimate than the setting at Butcher and Block. I’ll have to go next Wednesday for the five dollar Smashburger as I heard it is incredible and at that price why not buy a few other sides“

“Let preface this by saying I was here on St Paddy’s Day. I’ve never been to Dixie Grill before so I don’t have a clue how busy it usually is. But I will say from the time I put my name on the list until the time I finished it was 1.5 hours. I was by myself at the bar so I wasn’t chit chatting or anything. The food was good though, corned beef and hash over medium eggs. The biscuit was a little too crispy on the outside for me. I would still recommend this place for breakfast.“

“I was looking around for good dinner spots downtown to go to with my son and husband when a friend recommended Bourbon Street— i'm so glad I went! Such an amazing atmosphere and my family loved it too! Our server Michelle was the best, super attentive and made great conversation. I have food allergies and special instructions that Michelle was very vigilant about following! My son recommends the Rue Bourbon oysters if you’re looking for suggestions. This definitely won’t be my last time eating here!“

Only hiccup was my bf waffle had chocolate chips on it but he doesn't like them and instead I ate it. It was delicious and soft, just the way I love them. My girls enjoyed their entire meal! “My friends/family have eaten here for breakfast/lunch several times and twice for dinner. Staff is very friendly, professional, and efficient. Menu is fairly varied, and we have not had any issues with the way the food is prepared or tastes. The kitchen does need to pay closer attention to the orders put in. On two occasions, one of our parties asked for accommodation to her order, which was noted by our server. However, when the order was brought to her, she had to send it back as it was prepared without the requested accommodation. Otherwise, we always have a good experience.“
