“How did we ever survive in on Topsail Island without Maine Lobstah Shack!!! Having spent years in the New England region, I know good from great when it comes to Lobster! The lobster rolls are to die for and the lobster bisk is the best I've ever had. On top of that, it is a wonderful family owned and family run business. At the end of the day, it is the quality of the food that keeps us coming back! Treat yourself!!! Definately a five star experience!!”

“Amazing breakfast sandwiches and delicious hot coffee!! We bought a bag of Island blend for our stay- has a hint of coconut which is just enough. We're going back to get more to take back to Maryland with us!”

“We chose to eat here based on their amazing reviews and the variety on the menu. We got there as soon as they opened and was greeted immediately by the attentive staff. They were patient while we looked over the menu to decide what we wanted.I went with the special, which was the “Not so Cajun shrimp” over rice with a green beans. I'm so glad I did because it did not disappoint! It was loaded with flavor from the sauce to the rice to the green beans.Highly recommend!!”

“Although this is a self-promoted "Steelers" entity (#GoRavens), the food has always been great. It has a large menu with variable prices and food choices for all diners. Favorite menu items are the scallops dinner and ice cream pie hands down. The reuben, dirty bird, ribs, and steaks are also great, but the crab dip and crab cakes were not up to par with the rest of the menu in my opinion.Kid-friendliness: Can be loud at times for kids but they provide coloring pages and crayons to keep little ones occupied while waiting for food.”

“This was our first time here and it won’t be our last! Everything we had was phenomenal...flounder, clams, scallops, oysters, fried zucchini…and the hush puppies were amazing!! We took a piece of coconut pie to go and it was delicious! Morgan was the best too!”
“From Surf City, to a U-Haul and almost 1000 miles to Missouri. This beer is a must try. Will be sad not to get anymore of their IPA’s for a while. But 10/10 recommend Surf City Sunrise”

“As you can see from the other reviews the food and drinks are incredible here. But make sure to say hi to the owner. She is living the American dream and is a joy to speak with! We enjoyed our smoothies and breakfast burrito before leaving topsail, make sure to visit before you leave. You won't regret it!”

“Stopped in for lunch on a whim and so glad we did! Prices can’t be beat and food and service was the best possible. All the toppings are delicious but you've gotta try the pimento cheese (homemade) with peppers and onions- so good it’s unreal! We also got a butter pecan milkshake complete with whipped cream and a cherry on top. For under $15 we were delighted, entertained and full. A must go!”

“Had a crab boil for out first meal in Surf City. The instructions were easy to follow. The service at the location was excellent. They walked me through how to cook everything. I steamed it in beer and added boiled eggs to my steamer. It was a feast!”

“Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday. They have a nice little parking lot with free parking. The inside is quaint and cute. A decent amount of seating! The menu has lots of different sushi rolls and some other entrees. We ordered an appetizer of Rangoons that were very crispy! We then ordered two specialty rolls! They were pretty yummy. The food came out very quickly and the workers were all very nice. Prices were average ~$16 for each specialty roll. Overall a nice meal!”

“Use to go to the location when they were in Jacksonville. This was my first time at the Sneads Ferry location! The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. There are chairs with umbrellas outside and a drive through & parking lot. They serve decaf! Which is huge for me since not all coffee places do. My coffee was delicious and I will be back!”

“Great local seafood tex/mex walk up food stand essentially.Food is great, haven't had a bad thing on the menu and I've tried it all. The menu is pretty small but that keeps the service time with quick turn around. Highly recommend the the coconut rice in whatever you get.Prices are fair considering you are in central Surf City in the middle of everything touristy.Atmosphere, the seating is all outdoor covered and uncovered picnic, rail counter or small table seating. I don't know I'd say it's good for large parties and it's not a formal eating place.Highly recommend Shaka Taco, just wish the location was easier to get in and out of sometimes.Parking: There are 2 small lots for parking next to the building but they are hard to navigate if you have a large vehicle.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicap accessible ramp to the ordering window and they will bring your food to your table after ordering.”

“We have been coming to Topsoil for years and this is the one of two reliably good places to eat on the island, in my opinion. We've never been disappointed and always leave full.Ironically, never had their oysters, but their shrimp is delicious and we always, *always*, get the fries for the app.Dietary restrictions: Great with allergens to ensure no cross contamination on the menu. We've never requested modifications, though.Parking: Parking can be difficult during on season, but never any problems off season. Be careful where you park, because some spaces are reserved for specific businesses.”

“Great barbecue at the beach! The staff is super friendly and attentive! I got the barbecue & chicken combo plate and it was fantastic! It had been a long day and I didn't feel like cooking that night so I let them do it for me and was not disappointed!Kid-friendliness: It's just a nice, family friendly restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: There are plenty of parking spaces with wheelchair access. There are tables for someone in a wheelchair chair to sit at.”

“I love Unwined! I make it a point to visit every time I'm in the area. Great place to chill with a glass (or bottle) of wine while listening to live music on the large deck. If you're not in the mood for wine, they have beer, coffee, ice cream and other delicious items. Highly recommended!”
“We just moved here and my husband and I were looking for a bar near our house. The venue was awesome. Live music,...Sublime covers..so good though! Food truck was awesome and crowd was. 30s 40s. Drinks discounted for ems and fire fighters. But affordable even without the discount. People were friendly and welcoming. Come here.... seriously. It was fun!”
“Amazing oysters! The best around. Also the family who owns and runs N. sea oyster co is amazing. 1000/10”

“Was in town for a vacation with the kids and wandered into this place on a walk. It was a treasure. Like something out of a story book this cozy book store is piled high with interesting books, and Knick-knacks. I got lost wandering the place and enjoyed perusing the wide variety of tomes. I knew my wife would love the place so on one of the rainy days I dropped her off there and didn't see her again for hours. They offered delicious muffins, and a nice dose of sarcasm. I really enjoyed the place and would highly recommend this little gem of a shop.”
