Went for a drive through Jersey with the wife. We wanted to visit an area we had not been. Came into beautiful Hightstown. We drove by this little diner and saw the lot packed for lunch and decided to stop in. This was a great choice and experience. Everything was great ? ?. We had the Split Pea soup to start, which was fresh and really good. Then a Hightstown ? and a Chicken Finger sandwich ?. Great coleslaw and burger. Warm, comfortable, traditional New Jersey dinner with all of the foods you would expect. Friendly staff that knows all of the regulars by name and that are very welcoming to those who are not.Parking: Easy lot parking right in front of the diner with more street parking nearby.Kid-friendliness: Large family booths and family friendly staff make this a good place for younger children.
