“I selfishly want to keep this place a little secret, but I know it's not right to do and so I must share my thoughts and quick review so that you may enjoy it too. My go-to coffee is usually black and nothing else. Instead I opted to try their "Hot Chai latte"and a choice of oat milk, half/half and milk and other options. I went with the half/half and It was absolutely delicious. Groundwork's Cafe is just the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself with their many food and drink options. The energy and vibe is exactly what I like to surround myself in. The cafe is extremely clean all around!!!! The staff members are beyond friendly and welcoming. There's off street meter parking and town meter parking lots within a short walking distance. What I ordered: Hot chai latte Chicken Colombian empanadas A small cup of Tomato Soup I LOVED IT ALL! My NEW FAVORITE PLACE and I'm looking forward to going back.“

And I also got a chocolate mocha donut with chocolate rice crispy on top. It was soft and delicious definitely coming back. They also give you a little card for everytime you visit they stamp it and on your 10th visit you get the drink for free.“

“I worked with Ma’s Tea House for a corporate event. Initially we wanted them to come on site at our NYC office location at make fresh bubble tea as people came into the office, which they do offer, but the building had a lot of specific requests which made it difficult to coordinate. We ended up deciding to switch to a delivery of 100 bubble teas in the morning for my event that same afternoon. From start to finish, they were very easy to work with and responsive. I stopped by the shop and Justin worked with me to decide on what would be best for delivery and what flavors would be good options. I even requested they add my company’s stickers to the cups along with their own and they did. Delivery was a little tough (but that was due to the location of the office in midtown, police officers not allowing vehicles to stop, etc.) but we eventually found each other for delivery and they helped bring the bubble teas into the building within the delivery time discussed.As for the bubble teas during the event, we decided on 50 white peach rose with strawberry popping boba and 50 passion fruit with mango popping boba. They were a HUGE hit and mostly gone within the hour from the start of the event which we didn’t expect. We were anticipating some leftovers by the end of the day, but in the end, there were none.Pricing was reasonable and comparable to other quotes that we received. Brian was great to work with. We would look to work with them again in the future!“

Do to covid restrictions they still have in place you cant watch them make the ice cream like you used to but you can see the "magic" from a distance. Place looks clean. The restaurant is very clean and organized as it is a new restaurant in Newark. The food is fresh and delicious. “They are so much more than your average icecream shop, not only do they have bubble tea (which isn't always easy to come by) they have delicious and unique flavors of rolled icecream they prepare fresh. “The dishes were all came out with extremely large portions and tasted authentically. The services were also great. We got complementary hot jessamine tea in that rainy day, and it really warmed us up. Strongly recommend the sesame sauce and garlic seasoned green bean sheet jelly noodles (which has meat in it) and the country style pork bone. And the inside environment was clean and quiet. The sesame sauce and garlic flavor so great, and the green bean noodles were fully covered with it. But if you are a vegetarian, make sure told them to avoid any meat in that dish.“

“I had the salmon sushi lunch special. It was 3 salmon sashimi, 3 salmon sushi, and a salmon avocado roll. It was tasty and very well put together by the sushi chef. The host/cashier/waitress was very competent and courteous. The restaurant is 3 tables, but takeaway is always an option. The miso was way better than most and a nice portion. My wife had the 3 roll lunch. I snapped a photo, the sushi chef did a very nice job. I will probably return and have the same thing, it was good. They have some Chinese options as well, which we may try in the future.“

I ordered lychee bubble tea with lychee toppings, it wasn’t sweet and was very fresh. Everything inside this cafe is cute, a great place to work. They also sell small goods like stuffed animals and t shirts. Just be prepared to try and find parking, they have a small parking lot with two spots for pick up only.“

When I went home and drank it, I didn't like the taste at all and couldn't drink it. I went back the next day and explained the situation. My purpose was just to tell about this negative experience. Even though I insisted on paying, they never accepted it and I liked their behavior very much.
